The first ever podcast dedicated to the Cronulla Sharks NRL club, established in 2015 by Sam Shinazzi and Adam Newman. We are also commonly known as the first ever NRL club podcast in the Rugby League landscape.

From 2015 to 2019 we also did SharkCast TV, a seperate form of content officially with the Cronulla club. This was developed as a livestream on Tuesday nights, produced by Scott Maxworthy, with longtime Sharks media manager Rob Willis the third host along with Sam and Newman. Other Sharks family including former NRL star Ben Ross were also featured. It was strongly linked to direct communication with the fans, and then developed into pre and post game shows. We interviewed everyone from Andrew Ettingshausen to Peter Gow to Shane Flanagan with the Premiership trophy only days after the 2016 Grand Final, as well as weekly chats with then current players. 

In 2016 Sam, Newman and Rob Willis commentated a Sharks trial game, which was streamed to fans, a first in the NRL. They were also heavily involved in the live commentary for Sharks corporate members in the 2018 season at home games.

SharkCast features interviews with current and former players/coaches, as well as staff and well known fans of the club both past and present. We have a heavy focus on analysing the games, with Sam's near 20 year work history as a sports statistician at a major media network offering a unique insight into the way the team plays.

When time allows, SharkCast has had watch-along events, gathering with listeners to watch Sharks away games.

SharkCast prides itself on our Cronulla Sharks knowledge (past, present and future), and working harder than anyone to bring quality content to all demographics of Sharks fans from around the world.

With Newman leaving SharkCast in November 2020, Sam and a range of regular special guest hosts now discuss all things Sharks, week in, week out. The shows have gotten longer, more detailed and when appropriate are streamed/recorded live with video alongside our traditional format of audio. Guest hosts include Gary Dover from the Sharks club, Clinton Maynard from Radio 2GB, Tristan K'Nell from Talking League podcast, Josh Bolling, Kieran Fraser, Dr Cameron Webb and former Sharks/NRL employee Jardian Ormsby.
