[00:01:30] Got to have a chat with Cam McInnes, Captain Cam McInnes, as well as Ronaldo Milotalo. Two really good chats, hopefully the wind didn't affect it too much because it's very windy down here at Ocean Protect Stadium. The classic day down here, beautiful to look at, but very windy and very bitey. So hopefully the environment wasn't too bad, I couldn't really stop and move, so we'll see how that goes.

[00:01:54] But all things looking good for the Sharks on Saturday, 7.50 kickoff, get your tickets, get out there and support the team. If you can, of course, only if you can't, we understand, but hopefully you can. A whole bunch of us will be out there, it's going to be a great vibe. Willing this team on to week three, but we're worried about week two. Roosters this week, going to be a tough one, but it's there to be had. We deserve to be there and we need to win this game.

[00:02:20] As far as injuries go, everyone looks okay, everyone trained and everyone played in their positions that you'd think they'd play in. So there wasn't anything too remarkable either way to discuss as far as lineups and that kind of thing. But moving closer towards game day, see if there's any movement there. But for the moment, they look as per. Regarding lower grades, Newtown Jets, I did have a good chat with Liam Eisen.

[00:02:48] Great young fella. And he is hoping to play this week, but he's not sure. He's going to have to train a bit more. He had a bit of ice on his knee, his left knee. And he said if it wasn't this week, it would be next week should they get through when they get through. Nothing revealing, nothing shocking. He's going to have minor clean out on his knee in the off season. It's minor and he doesn't sound very worried about it at all. So come training November, December, he should be okay to go.

[00:03:17] But he is hopefully going to play for the Jets this week. If it's not this week, it'll be next week. Riley Pollard had a good chat with him. A few bumps and bruises, but he's ready to rock and really enjoying his time playing for the Jets. As far as signing news goes in general, I think you'll see some more lower graders being signed in the next week or so. Stay tuned for that. Don't quote me on the timeline, but I'm pretty excited. I'm pretty confident some significant lower graders, younger people will be signing on for a few years at least.

[00:03:46] And you should all be very happy about who that might be because they're really exciting young players. That's for sure. I watched the game back against the Cowboys a few times now, and there was a lot to like there. I thought our scramble defense for the most part was really good. Riley Jones, very quick off the mark. Currently named to start. I'm not suggesting he won't, but we did see Marwini Hirati named on the extended bench.

[00:04:12] He looks fitter than he's looked for a while as far as his ribs go. So I don't think there'll be a change. And the reason I'm okay with that is because I watch back the tape pretty closely and very quick off the mark with covering. And even if he's in the wrong spot, getting to the right spot, a lot more confidence watching that back. Our enthusiasm is great. We're going to need to up that this week against the Roosters. I think that we'll have to amplify everything by 15, 20%.

[00:04:41] And you're going to have to do it for the whole game because the Chooks aren't going to go away. We're going to make sure they make some errors, give away some penalties. We're going to not do that. We're going to complete high with the best second best completion rate in the NRL behind the Warriors. I believe we missed the second fewest tackles. There's a lot going for us. Play to our strengths, make them not play to their strengths. And we're in with a real chance of winning this game.

[00:05:07] You'll hear Ranallo talk about some of the antics last week and marking mark this week. I don't think it's too much to worry about there. You never know in game day, of course, in the heat of the moment. But he sounds like he's matured more than ever. Now, as I said, Ronnie in the game moment, he can go bonkers. So we'll see what happens. But I think if we play to our strengths and with discipline, not get pushed around, but just play with discipline, I think that we can definitely win this game. They're confident.

[00:05:36] I wouldn't say they're, excuse the pun, cocky about it. But they're going in there to win the game, to mess them up. And I've got to like that. I really do. There's no fear there. But I do think they're going to have to be on top of their game. You know, marking marks can offload with four guys on him. You need someone else marking his outside man or inside man, I should say. Spencer Lenu is going to get pretty grubby. Teddy's going to be in the ear of the ref the whole time. Victor Bradley is going to push the envelope.

[00:06:05] You know, we got to fight fire with fire, but also do it at an acceptable level. That's not going to get us into any trouble with the referees, judiciary, etc. We're going to have to play high tempo for most of the game. If you can control it and lower the tempo a little bit where you need to, that's fine. But it's going to be a high tempo game. I feel like it's going to be a lot of ball in play. That usually suits us, but it also suits the Roosters. So inside balls, down the middle. I'm wary of all four wingers. I spoke about with Ronaldo.

[00:06:34] You hear me talk about it. All four wingers are in for a pretty big day and a pretty testing day as well. Pros and cons. It should be a classic. Should be a good crowd. Come out and join us. Captain Cook Hotel is the venue. Four o'clock onwards. Captain Cook Hotel. It's very close to the stadium. That's in conjunction with the Shark Cage, with the Cronulla Sharks themselves. And much like last week, you'll be surrounded by black, white and blue. Like-minded people. Safe environment. Friendly environment. If you can get there early.

[00:07:04] Soak up the atmosphere. And then head on into the game. And as I said, the venue is not too far away. I think for 2016, at least one or two of the games we have. We had a Shark Cast gathering there. It was a lot of fun. So, should be good. Captain Cook Hotel locked in. There are no buses at this stage. Sorry to tell you. That was an NRL initiative. I know some people have been at the club about getting some buses and not much luck there. So I can't really help you out on behalf of anyone.

[00:07:32] As someone who took the bus in, it was a great comfortable ride and very convenient. And I'm a bit bummed myself. There's not going to be any buses. But that's what's happening. There'll be trains. Free transport. Otherwise, make your plans. Captain Cook Hotel beforehand if you can do it. 4 till 7. The main kickoff is at 7.50. Wear your colors. Be loud. Be proud. You happy with your game? Oh yeah. Yeah, like you can always be a hard marker but I was really happy more with the sort of the teams. Attitude is not the right word because attitude is always there but like our application to our plan and sticking at it and going after the game. In the first half, not a lot of points.

[00:09:22] Some disallowed but I really admired the patience you played with. Yeah, that's what it is like. No matter what team you're playing but particularly semis, if you get that much ball early, you're not going to score because they're fresh. They're ready to go so you've got to break them down. Usually you break them down in the midfield but we had to do it on their try line. But yeah, we had plenty of opportunities. We scored a few, a couple disallowed but it will be better for the run as well. Could you hear all 17,000 fans out there? No, definitely.

[00:09:50] The Sharks fans that were there, I thought were great. We understand the situation too. I could also understand some Sharks fans feeling hard done by and maybe boycotting in that sense. Even if people aren't there, we know that they're watching and we know we've got their support. Roosters play a quick, hard game this week. Are we ready for them? Yeah, definitely.

[00:10:18] They play really powerful and at your top of footy which is great. And yeah, got a lot of really high quality players across the field. So again, an elimination situation will need to be at our best and we know they will be as well. So it will be a good challenge. No one else will want captain for us Cam. [00:10:53] Ronaldo Militalo, great winner of the weekend. You had a really good game. You happy with your game? Nah, still. A lot to improve on. Probably getting that good fitness back into myself. It's been a tough month of footy or so. So it's just good to win I think. Regardless of how well performed, I just want to make sure that we win. What about your maturity when an old mate was grabbing you by the neck and you really wanted to give him money and he didn't? I was really impressed. Yeah, I just find it funny. They'll charge who they want. I did that a couple of weeks ago.

[00:11:20] It's just the inconsistency that probably annoys me the most. Like I'm not allowed to stand up for myself. And then when I do, I'm the one that's getting penalised for it. So yeah, I don't know what it was for. They obviously read, I don't even know what the penalty was for. So yeah, you know, I just... But he escalated. I'll get in trouble for it. So that is what it is. The agenda's in the game and that's how it is I guess. The kick to the corner, you jump up, give it a KL.

[00:11:50] That happened twice, once with success. Is that a planned thing? No, it's just I want to be able to compete every week. I back my abilities in the air. And yeah, every time I want to get a shot at it and I feel like I can come up with a big play for the team, I'll go for it. So I wasn't a game plan. It's just I think the boys understand my strength and I understand their strength. So the boys getting around the ball and competing and would like to execute it and take them.

[00:12:17] But take the points when they're off offer, but it happens. So we've got to be better there. I've got to stay on the side for one and then got to execute on the other. Both wingers, all four wingers are in for a great weekend this weekend. It's going to be a great clash. Which other way you look at it, everyone knows you're on Marky Mark. You've got a huge respect for him. He's got respect for you. What's the plan there? Yeah, you know, he's a generational talent. I've sang his praise for as long as he's come into the game and it's unfortunate we're losing into the game this year.

[00:12:49] And I respect this game so much that it brings the best out of me and wants me to go harder. So I'm really looking forward to that challenge. And he's unpredictable, you know, you don't know what he's going to come up with. And he's a freakish athlete. So stay as a system, trust our teamwork and get around the ball when we can. And that'll probably be the biggest thing for us. But yeah, I'm really looking forward to that contest. He's got those crazy offloads in him where you've got three guys on him and he still pops it. I mean, are you looking at that kind of tape this week?

[00:13:16] Yeah, that's definitely, everyone knows that's his game, you know. The unpredictability of it, but yeah, our scrambled defence is going to have to be good this week. And regardless of who's on the boards, off the ball movements that we've got to get done. So I'm sure the boys, especially from inside, inside of me, they've got a big job as well. Not just myself. Quick word on Trindle and the heart that he's inside that man. Yeah, he's good, man. He'll be right to play.

[00:13:42] And everyone's carrying injuries at this time of the year and he's no different. But we're going to need him to get through the game. He can't be scared at this time of the year and he's just got to go all out. Regardless of, you can't think of injuries and stuff like that during this time. So I'm confident Tricky. He's a footballer out and out and through and through so. And I'm sure he'll get out there and do a job. Quick word for the fans heading out there? Yeah, it'll be nice to see you guys all out there.

[00:14:10] We'll do it for you guys and really looking to go out and represent you guys well. So our town, our people, all the people that make up this great club and all the previous players, staff and groups. So we're looking forward to making them proud on the weekend.
