[00:01:05] Hey there, welcome to SharkCast Potter Podcast, dedicated to the greatest sporting club in the history of the world, the mighty Cronulla Sutherland Sharks. This short, sharp, team list Tuesday episode is brought to you by Dyson Logistics, the Royal Motor Yacht Club in Port Hacking, and Jason Hawes of Crips & Crips Real Estate. My name is Sam Shnazzi, OG 2015, 11th season of podcasting for you guys and girls, supporting the team a lot longer than that. And the team's going pretty good, they're in 5th place, coming off a good win against Manly.
[00:01:33] Won a bunch of games in the past month, all the way from home it should be said, and we are coming home this week to play the Melbourne Storm. But in pretty good form, showing some signs of knowing how to shut out games when allowing teams back into the contest. Parramatta and most recently Manly, games where we look pretty good, and then for whatever reason, circumstance, down to 12 men, etc.
[00:02:00] We allow teams back into the contest, the Sharks then went on to win both games. So, some lessons learnt, as the coach would say, and we roll into Saturday night against the Storm at Sharks Stadium. It's going to be an excellent occasion. If you can get down there, grab a ticket while you can, it will sell out. Otherwise, make sure your Fox or KO or favourite radio station is firing up, because it's going to be a game that you want to be involved in.
[00:02:29] So, the team line-up for this week is Will Kennedy at full-back. Leading the Daly M's, Will Kennedy. Your wing is a Sam Stonestreet and Ronaldo Molotalo, with your centres Jesse Ramian and KL Ibro. Halves are Braden Trindle and Nico Hines. The forward pack is Fenua Blake, Blake Braley at hooker, and your starting prop this week named is Oregon Cofusi.
[00:02:58] The back row is Britton Nikara, Billy Burns, and Captain Cam McInnes. Your immediate bench is Dan Atkinson, Jesse Colquhoun, the returning Sifatalakai, and Braden Hamlin-Welley. So, the extended bench is Hohepa Puru. Tsukuhai Tsipua, Jaden Beryl, Teague Wilton, and Chris Viola.
[00:03:26] So, Teague Wilton returns to the extended bench, therefore is a chance of playing this week. From what I know, which is limited knowledge of the story, Tall Tom Hazleton didn't recover in time for this week. But I don't think at this stage it's a long-term injury, which is great news.
[00:03:51] So, from the starting team last week, the starting team, you have Oregon Cofusi coming back into the starting pack. And the bench is Atkinson, Talakai, Colquhoun, and Hamlin-Welley. Teague is named on an extended bench. So, fascinating to see what happens there. If Teague was to come in, that's a big if. Would Burns then drop out? Would he become a utility instead of Atkinson?
[00:04:21] How would you do it? What would happen? Let us know your thoughts. Sharkcastpod at gmail.com. DM us. Go to our webpage, which a whole bunch of you are doing, which we really appreciate it. Sharkcast.com.au. You can leave us a message there, which is the equivalent of an email, etc. And it's very easy to do. You can leave us reviews as well, which is really helpful. So, let us know your thoughts on the team and how you feel about the Sharks. And we'll read them out on this week's flagship episode. Sharkcastpod.
[00:04:51] Very much looking forward to the game at Shark Stadium this Saturday evening against the Melbourne Storm. Now, these games against the Storm are usually pretty memorable for different reasons. You know, they've scored a lot of points against us in games and it's been memorable for sad reasons. They've defeated us on the bell and that's sad memories.
[00:05:16] But there's good memories like last year in Melbourne with Dan Atkinson having the game of his life. There's a game in 2016, you might remember, but with a Sharks win 14-12. There's lots of memories of the Sharks Storm, even going back to 03, where Billy Slater did a number on us in round one, I think it was. Always fascinating. Of course, the Cam Smiths, Sinbin. I mean, there's lots of storylines here.
[00:05:41] But what we're most looking forward to is the current storyline of the In-Form Sharks playing a very much In-Form Storm team. They won 64-0 against the West Tigers last week. The West Tigers were terrible. So it's hard to sort of read that line there where the Storm were incredible, but they were allowed to be incredible. I think this week will be a lot more of a grinding contest.
[00:06:05] I think there might be some points in it, but I think that it'll be a close one and a bit of back and forth and hopefully the good guys come out on top. So I'm not overly worried about what happened last week, but in general, the Storm, obviously, they're an amazing club with an amazing coach. And this year, they're still premiership favorites for me.
[00:06:25] So it's going to be a tough one, but it's going to be just, I think, a game where if the Sharks win, you better buckle in for the big headlines. And if the Sharks lose, I think we just continue on and continue to try and improve and get to that next level. But in a lot of ways, it's just another game. But in a lot of ways, it's not. And we fell into this trap last year with the 42-0 game against Penrith. Similar circumstances.
[00:06:54] I don't want to fall into that trap. I'm just looking forward to the team going out, playing to their best of abilities. And if they play to their best of abilities, I have no doubt they're going to win the game. Because when they're at their best, they're really, really, really good. High completion rate. Good kicking game. One percent is like last week. Kick, chase, hustle, and you win the game. In front of what will be 13,000 Sharks fans going crazy, hopefully. So just repeating. Oregon Kifusi to the starting team.
[00:07:24] Tall Tom Hazleton is out. Sifatalakai returns to the immediate bench. And Teague Wilton returns to the extended bench. Watch this space. We'll let you know what we know when we know it. A big week for the Sharks as well. They have some great initiatives happening, which you will be hearing about as the week goes on. But they have linked up with the organization called Find Your Feet. And it's going to be the second mental fitness round in the NRL.
[00:07:51] And the Sharks are proudly hosting it this week against the storm. And it is designed to encourage conversations and promoting important tools and resources to do with mental health. And it's obviously a very important subject matter in this day and age. And we on the show encourage everyone to support that and look further into it, especially if you have any need for that.
[00:08:18] And as I said, in this day and age, crazy world we're living in, people are more prone to these issues. Can't wait for the game. Can't wait to podcast some more this week. We'll talk to you soon. Up Up Cronulla. Up Cronulla.
[00:09:01] Up Cronulla. On the 4-1-7-4-5-0. One-7-4-5-0. Jason Hawes, Crips and Crips Real Estate. Back in the Shire. Turn your board slides off because they're covered over.
