[00:00:26] They've got a Facebook page, or you could go old school and call them on 0295239300 Let me know how this is, alright guys? Someone all good now says Wes. Alright, let's start again, SharkCastPod! Woohoo! Week 1 of the finals, TeamList Tuesday coming up.

[00:00:51] There's so much to get through. The NRLW game has been moved to Allianz Stadium, 5-10 kickoff on Saturday. So, make your plans. There are buses available from Ocean Protect Stadium, limited buses. You need to register. Don't rock up. Don't make this more painful than what it is. Sharks are putting on buses. Register right now. Go to sharks.com.au

[00:01:20] It's on their socials. And they will get you to Ocean Protect Stadium if you can't get there in your own way. We're having a pre-gathering. From 4 o'clock, a place called Watson's in the Moorpark Precinct. SharkCage, SharkHousePod, Cronulla Sharks. It's where you want to be. Talking all things sharks. And then you can go and watch the NRLW team.

[00:01:50] You can walk in all together to the stadium and sing lots of shark songs. You can stay and drink and eat. Do whatever you want. But that's the place you want to be, Watson's. Start making your plans now. Appreciate all the messages about the glitches. Apologize about that. Wes said it could be him in Japan. No, it was me in Sydney. All good. Thanks so much. Thanks, Trish. Hope you're doing well. Hi, Brendan. Thank you, Jesse. Troy says, good. After morning, Sam.

[00:02:18] Give me the Trindle inclusion. Wouldn't mind seeing Siffer at center. Ooh, controversy. How are we going for time here? It's going to be announced pretty soon. Tricky back. Good. I'm going to put a line through the sharks if Riley Jones isn't in the centers. That's from I don't want to think. He was close last time I heard, but I don't want to say anything more because it could go lots of different ways. Jesse, I think I'm going to say Tricky's name. So let's just hold out on that one. The rest will work out.

[00:02:48] Hello, everyone on the Insta. Sorry about the weird start before. Have to chop that one up for later on for the podcast, but we're all good. We're good to go. So like I was saying, NRL W 510. We've got flag and cup the same day. It's a crazy day for the sharks. The NRL team is on at seven 50. Uh, we're going to be at a place called Watson's in the Moore park precinct. Everyone's welcome. We're a friendly bunch. All we do is talk black, white, and blue.

[00:03:14] Come along. You'll be hearing more about it, but, uh, it's a shark cage initiative. The sharks are on board. I'm on board. Let's go do it. Dana says the good after morning has really stuck. I always forget how to say it to him. So I say, Hey, Sioni, how do you say good? Anyway, I don't want to think since Tricky is back. We've got breaking news, breaking news. We're playing the Cowboys. We've got good recent history against them.

[00:03:41] Good history overall against them. We don't want to shoot out. We want to defend really well. And then we win. They've conceded something like 82 points in one game, 50 in another 32 in another over the past five weeks. They can't defend. If we defend, we win this game and we march on one game at a time. I'm very excited. Sarah says, Sarah says, hello, Sam. Excited to hear the list. Me too, Sarah.

[00:04:09] Me too. And we're almost there. We are almost there. In case you missed the start of the show, Sarah, there was glitches and all sorts of things. It was horrendous, but we're back on board, back on board. Everyone's waiting for the bongo drum roll. I don't want to think since I'd love to see Roley Pollard's name on the bench, at least you and me both. Hey, thanks for reminding me. There's an episode out right now on podcast apps, on YouTube, wherever you get shark asked.

[00:04:38] I'm talking in depth, like a long time chatting one-on-one with Riley Pollard, a long time chatting with Riley Jones. We've got Oregon Gafusi. We've got AFB and McInnes presses. Go listen, go stream it. Uh, Pollard and Jones. I couldn't have impressed me more. Unbelievable to talk to as humans, as footballers go over. Listen. Um, great, great stuff. Hosco says when we win this game, who are you likely to play up next?

[00:05:07] Oh, Hosco is thinking two games ahead. Are you? Well, there's good news and there's bad news. The good news is we proceed. The bad news is we play the loser of Penrith and the Roosters, which will be in Sydney. That's what's happening. Melbourne historical crime to us is I think teleco will be in the centers. Nikki says, I wish I'd come to the game. I've got massive faith in the team. Hey, Nikki, we didn't catch up last week. I'm sad about that. Alex has already listened to the interviews and said, great work. Thank you very much.

[00:05:38] I'm very happy with those on the Insta. I can see my man Jay. The legendary Jay said, only one team in our earlier has made the GF from fifth, which was the cows in 2005. Let's make it two. Let's go. Let's go. Sarah says the shark cast always comes through. Definitely going to hear those interviews with the boys. Thanks so much, Sarah. The shark cast is Luke Lewis calls us. I don't think we'll tell us after the team list what our chances are will be. The chooks will advance if we win. We play the riff.

[00:06:07] Yeah, the chooks only advance if they beat the riff. I think that's what I said. If I didn't, I apologize. PK, my man is saying Riley Jones to the centers. We shall see. We shall see any second. Shark cast pod. Here we go. Here we go. Finals footy. It's here. The finals footy is here. And so is your team. Holy cow. There's been a decision made. Here we go.

[00:06:38] You ready? You're all ready for this. Sharks play Cowboys 750. Let's go. Will Kennedy at fullback. Sione Katoa. Ronaldo Mlutolo is on the wings. In the centers, we have Riley Jones holding his spot and K.L. Iroh. The coach is named the rookie Riley Jones at number three. He's back. The tricky one.

[00:07:06] Braden Trindle and Nico Hines are your halves. I'm already feeling better. I'm already feeling better. For newer Blake, Captain Blake Braley, Jesse Colquhoun, your front row. Back row is Britain, Nickeratee, Wilton and Cam McInnes. Your bench therefore will be Sifatallakai, Bill Burns, Oregon Kofusi, Tall Tom Hazleton, Hoheppa Puru and Toby Rudolph.

[00:07:30] The extended bench is Nephi Puru, Sam Stone Street and Marwini Hiroti. It's a little bit of fun and games there. But if the coach sticks with it how it is, and I think he would, naming number three there, Riley Jones is going to be your center. Do we even talk about the other guys?

[00:07:52] Drinkwater, Burns, Purdue, Chester, Laybutt, Clifford, Dearden, Neem, Marnie, Tamalolo, Lukey, Nanai, Kotter, named, has to be found innocent at the judiciary to play. Sonny Luke, John Bateman still hanging around. Don't want to jinx things. Tom McKellie, Cohen Hess, Caden Lars, Ethan King, extended bench of O'Donnell, McIntyre and Sutton.

[00:08:22] We'll get to all that. Susan says, hi Sam, we're in Hay on our way back home. Where's Hay? Tell me where Hay is. My geography is terrible. Hosko says, if it's the Roosters we can get revenge for the two losses this year. Yep, absolutely. Sarah says, yay for Tricky. Nikki says, fantastic lineup. PK is approving it, saying love it, and he called it before. I Don't Want to Think says, great side.

[00:08:50] We'll beat the Cows by 20 plus, then play Penrith next week for them limping into our game. Now, it is true that the loser of Penrith, Roosters, is going to be battered and bruised. Now, we don't know what's going to happen in our game, but they're going to beat the heck out of each other. So, that's kind of exciting for us playing them next week after we proceed against the Cowboys. Riley Jones holds his spot. But, now, let's give a shout out to Riley Pollard, who is now a friend of the show. He's been a friend of the show for a while.

[00:09:18] He had a hell of a debut, and he'll be playing for the Jets. He's not been named in this team. And he's, go listen to the interview. I can't say it enough. It's not because I want the numbers. I want you to listen to this future first grader, current first grader. Talk about waiting in line, about contracts. It's all there. Everything you want to hear is in this interview. And, also, Riley Jones playing in the Senators for us this week.

[00:09:43] I think you'll be impressed with his humility, his honesty, and his sincerity for being at the club and the jersey. He's a young guy who really appreciates what he's got. So, that's pretty exciting. And, look, he wasn't perfect last week. But, he did enough, obviously, to hold his spot. Jesse says, yay, Jonesy, great news. Connor has a great question. Do you think if Michael Gabriel wasn't suspended, Craig Fitzgibbon would name him?

[00:10:11] I would think maybe because he's named Riley Jones, who's only got one more NRL game than Michael Gabriel, which was three years ago. And, you'd think Gabriel had as strong a game, if not maybe 2% better. So, side of the field, et cetera, work all that out. But, maybe, I think maybe, Connor. We'll never know, I guess. Alex says, we would play Sunday, so eight-day turnaround. Is that right? Is there a Sunday game next week?

[00:10:39] Can you confirm that for me? Susan says, hey, is halfway between Wagga and Mildura. Thank you. I have no idea. Thank you. When I go to Allianz Stadium this week, Susan, it's the first time I'll ever leave the Shire. So, that's not even close to true. Wes says, let's win this one first. I've done enough of getting ahead of ourselves this year. Look, it's great advice, Wes. You're a great man. We are going to talk about other things that relate to this game, i.e. next week. What will happen? What should happen? What could happen?

[00:11:09] But, I'm with you. We're not jumping ahead. We're just talking about ahead. So, I think you can allow that. I know you're just mucking around. All right. How exciting. Now, I've got some people on the Insta. Alex says, records are made to be broken, re-coming fifth and winning the comp. Clevo says, whenever I hear the name I don't want to think, which is one of our listeners, I do my best Paula Cole and sing the Dawson's Creek song. That's because you're a bloody legend.

[00:11:39] Jay says, the beard's still looking good after that trim. Oh, Jay. Jay, what am I going to do with you, my friend? Give Rocky's jerseys a join, a follow, please. Rocky's jerseys. Rocky's underscore jerseys. Jay's got me giggling now. Good 19-man squad. Jones is the right call. Last time we played the cows, we had Siffer in the centers and Haradi on the wing, and that hurt us. The only change you would make is possibly McInnes back to the bench for Burns to start, and we don't know what's going on with that forward pack and bench.

[00:12:10] There might be some changes there. Jay is also confirming that there's an extra day of rest if we get the win. That's cool. Riley Jones is now 24, and his body looks the right size to handle first grade compared to someone who might be 20 or 21. MJ Gonzalez, love your work, Sam. Oh, thanks. Will you be walking to the game with a shark cage? Well, I'm going to be right amongst it. I don't know if I'll be in the walk or not, but I'm going to be at that establishment to come along. It's the, what did I say?

[00:12:40] It's called Watson's, and it's in Moore Park, Precinct, and it's going to be fun. So I'll try and drag as many shark casts as long as I can. I have to say, and I don't want to get in trouble with the club because I hate being in trouble with the club, but Tim from shark cage has pretty much said this is what we're doing, and both myself and the club are jumping on board. So we have to give Tim his credit there. He's an awesome guy.

[00:13:08] Tim from the shark cage, if you don't know him, he should be this insane, crazy, unapproachable person because he beats a drum and he goes to all the games and he's one of those guys, but he's the nicest guy in the world. And I love him so much. Lovely guy. All things Cronulla Sharks. Give that person a follow on the Insta. Give everyone a follow. We're all friends here. All underscore things underscore Cronulla underscore sharks.

[00:13:38] That's my mate, Ash Taylor, the official club historian. We had a good time on the weekend hanging out with old boys, fanboying out over Ben Pomeroy and the like. He says, I can't wait. Let's pack the house out. We've had 60 plus at the grand final in 2016. Let's all get into town this Saturday night. 60 plus. I think you mean 80 plus, my friend, plus a few thousands dorm fans. Come on. He's right, though. There's a bit of negativity online about, well, let's not go.

[00:14:07] Let's boycott the game. What a load of rubbish. If you have the means, if you have the time, if you have the availability, go watch the game. If you can't, I understand. But don't have a boycott. That's silly. Jay says Sunday game in week two would probably depend on if the Warriors lose as they play Saturday. They won't put the loser of the Panthers versus game on a Friday, which will likely be the Sunday Arvo. And yeah, Jay's talking about the CWSC.

[00:14:36] Definitely, we need to give them their credit. And I think they're still around, CWSC. But they're friends with everyone and they're cool. And they started a long time ago. And some real legends have come through that group. Also crazy people as well. Now, Brendan says, great reward for Riley Jones for playing last week. Playing well. I think you'll find we'll be playing the following Saturday if we win. Oh, we're all speculating here. Appreciate you.

[00:15:02] Dana's talking about the amount of times we play the Cowboys in finals games. We've played them six times. Three each we've won. 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 22 and 24. That's quite a lot for a team that hasn't been around forever. Now, Pete is not traveling well. We wish him all the best. Send all our love, Pete, from all the Shark Cast universe. Currently in hospital. But he said it's a good side.

[00:15:32] As good as we can get for this week. So that's good. I'm glad you're happy with the team. Hope you get to watch the game in there. Maybe get your lovely wife to bring you some treats or something. But, yeah, hope you're doing as good as you can be. And out soon, my friend. I don't want to wait. I don't want to think. I'm good. I don't want to wait. Thanks a lot, Clevo. I don't want to think Raleigh Jones would be better for this week. And got the nerves out of the way. Yeah, absolutely.

[00:16:01] And he talks about that on the interview. Make sure you go listen to it later on. Bluesforce says, great choice to pick Raleigh Jones. Talakai Horati wouldn't have had the speed to match Purdue. Yeah, I think we all agree there, Bluesforce. That back line for the Cowboys has got us a few times now with that situation over the years. So I think it's the right move. And it's great to see the coach doing things that we all love. And there's no negativity there, which is great.

[00:16:27] They did beat us this year in round eight, 46-34, the most points scored in this fixture. It was a shootout. It was garbage. And let's not do that again. Let's just go out and defend really well. On the back of your defense, you're going to score points against this mob. In three of the past five games, they've conceded 50 points, 32 points, and 82 points, respectively. So defense is obviously an issue for them. Dan says, good team, about as good as we can hope for.

[00:16:56] Wonder if Gabrielle would get the spot. If not suspended. Already been asked, Dan, and we don't know. Don't know. What do you think? I think he might have, depending on favoritism of the side of the field and everything. But, yeah. Dion says, a good-looking, solid team. Riley deserves his spot. Disappointed not to be playing at home, but still think we'll win. Yeah, I think we're all a bit disappointed by that. But, I don't know. I think sometimes we tend to, as a club, like as a unit, as a fan base, go on about it too much.

[00:17:26] Because we really left ourselves open to be victims this week. There's so many memes flying around. And I had Sportsbet tagging me in this, you know, remotely funny thing they did about us, which was kind of not funny at the same time. But I'm not posting that unless they give me a sponsorship or something, like give me a break. Stop tagging me in these things. What do you think I'm going to do? Ragamone club? It's, I'm torn because, you know what?

[00:17:52] Like, I think that we deserve to have a home spot. If that's what they're going to call it, then let us play. And I do think that against the Cowboys, if we can play 10 games a year at Ocean Protect Stadium, we can play an 11th time against the Cowboys week one. I don't see the harm. I know a few Sharks fans will be shut out. And that's not okay, but I think we just sort of adapt. But we're going with it. We're moving to the city. We're calling it Shark Tank.

[00:18:22] We're going to be marching. We're going to be dancing. We're going to be doing lots of things. So it's going to be a fun one. And most importantly, got a win. Just repeating, NRLW is moved to Allianz Stadium as a doubleheader. And they'll be playing in the game before us against the Darsely Dragons. And they're playing to avoid the wooden spoon against the Dragons. So that's kind of important too. Dan says we need to make more a sign making...

[00:18:49] Dan needs to say, make some signs saying give Siffer more minutes. Can't disagree with that. Wes said if Cotter got off tonight, it would be a complete joke. Yeah, I mean, I haven't studied that high shot, but it didn't look good. And I don't think he's looking for a shortening of the punishment. He's just going, I'm innocent. So we'll see. We'll see. I mean, any advantage in this game, I'll take because we're all a bit nervous about the past month. We'll see on that one.

[00:19:19] Jay is referring to Ash wearing masking tape on his shirt at the functions. He said it needs an official badge. And I agree with you, but just to be clear, even Paul Gallon had one saying Paul Gallon, I think. So, you know, it wasn't Ash thing. It was a function thing. Now, Jay, am I getting these people on the show? Yeah, we'll see. We'll see. We've got a few plans.

[00:19:43] Clevo said definitely a Queensland conspiracy by Violent Soho to plan their reunion show at the Enmore to land on the Sharks game. Hashtag airplane mode. Oh, no. Clevo's got a clash. Clevo's got a clash. So you are going airplane mode? You're going to go home and do the blackout? Look out if you see me on the streets of Enmore afterwards or whatever? Jay says, get well, Pete. Thanks so much for that. MJ Gonzalez said, need a Jay Bolling return after a Cow's win.

[00:20:13] We might get him before the Cow's win. Believe me, the Jay Bolling requests from me, they're constant enough. He knows he's loved. He'll be on as soon as we can get him on. No issues there at all. And again, thanks to everyone for messaging me and commenting about the start of the show. I hate it when that happens. Getting to a whirlwind. What am I going to do? What am I going to do? There are buses going from Cronulla. From Ocean Protect Stadium.

[00:20:43] They've announced two so far. I don't know if there's more coming. Maybe. But there are two so far. And you need to register to get on board. I think at this point there's no cost. I think that's right. But you need to register. You can't just rock up and say, let me on the bus. That's not going to fly. So go on to sharks.com.au. Their social pages will have it as well. There's a link. It's all quite simple. And you just go through the motions.

[00:21:12] And you can get on a bus to the city from Ocean Protect Stadium. So what else am I going to tell you? We're going to be at Watson's HQ. We expect to see everyone there, including Tristan Canel. If he's back from wherever he's been. He's been doing all sorts of traveling. Watson's HQ. We'll say from 4 o'clock. TBC on that. But a whole bunch of Sharks fans just hanging out, having a good time.

[00:21:39] Talking about black, white, and blue things. And then at some point a group will gather and walk along to the stadium. You are welcome to be in that. You don't have to be that. You don't have to go to the pub and then do that. You can do whatever you want. You're a free person. We encourage you to do it, of course. And the Sharks family and the Sharks fan base are trying to do a takeover, right? To show that we care.

[00:22:08] Because there's a lot of negativity about we can't play at Ocean Project Stadium. Well, we can't. So let's take some positivity into the city. I don't want to think it's got the gambling going. And again, we don't encourage gambling on this show unless we get a sponsor to do it. Riley Jones for a double this week. And tricky man of the match. I don't know. Can you vote man of the match? That's pretty cool. Tristan Canel, one of our colleagues, always welcome back on the show, says, Love you, Sammy. Thanks for another great year on the pod. Hey, thank you. It ain't over yet.

[00:22:38] Love Riley Jones getting back on the team. I would love to see Ken McKenna switch back on the bench for a big bopper like Hazel. And I think we're set. Sharks 30 to 10. I love it. That's a man who has shared a final with me in the past, Tristan Canel. Well, you've all heard about his efforts against the Panthers a few years ago, which I won't go and do now. Future dude said it'll be interesting to see if we do play Penrith, if whether the game will be a Combank or a Core.

[00:23:07] Week two, you'd think it would be a Combank, wouldn't you? Yeah, I don't know. Who do we want to play? I can't say who we want to play. We're going to get through the Cowboys first. Let's get through the Cowboys first. Love that conversation next week. Thanks, Future dude. Hope you're good. So let's go through that team again. Oh, yes. Okay. So Joe's joined from Mr. Paisley's. Jack's joined. She said, can you repeat the team for us late?

[00:23:37] Come on. Of course I can. Where have you been? You missed a hell of a start. Everything went black and fuzzy. You're Sharks to play. The Cowboys. Will Kennedy's a fullback. Sionica Toa and Kael Iroh are on the... Let's start again. I'm so frazzled. Will Kennedy at fullback. Sionica Toa and Ronaldo Militola are on the wings. Riley Jones holds his spot and is with KL Iroh. Riley Jones. Braden Trindle is back. Nico Hines is there with him.

[00:24:08] Fenua Blake, Blake Braley, Jesse Colquhoun up front. Britton Nicarate, Teague Wilton and Cam McInnes at the back. Your bench is Talakai, Burns, Kofusi, Tall Tom Hazleton, Hohebapuru and Toby Rudolph. On the extended bench is Nefi, Puru, Sam at Stone Street and Marwini Haroti. There is no Braden ULA. Okay. So, from that bench, say it stays the same. Let's just say it is for now.

[00:24:38] You're playing Talakai. You're playing Burns. You're playing one of, if not both, Kofusi and Hazleton. But then you do have Hohebapuru there to cover a bunch of positions. Toby's there as well. I mean, maybe he gets a go. I don't know. Nefi is the reserve half. And you would think they would need to push him up into that bench because in case Trindle, you know, in case something happens. So, let's see how that plays out.

[00:25:07] Still pretty fascinating times. All Things Crown Sharks. Give him a follow. Joe said, enjoyed a few laughs with Josh and the great David Beachy postgame. I bet you did. What a motley crew that is. Jay said, will we be doing a live show after the game on Saturday? If so, it could go to midnight. Well, TBC and all that sort of stuff. It's going to be a bit hard with the tech and that kind of thing. But we're working out things as we talk. So, we'll communicate all that with you guys and girls closer to the date. But I'm hoping to.

[00:25:37] Always hope to. Zoom73, which is Joe, said, afternoon, Sam. I like the lineup for Saturday. Glad Jones kept his starting place. Awesome. Jay says, you want to play the Roosters. If they lose on Sunday, they'll be on a four-game skid going into week two. To play the Panthers, we'll be playing a team we haven't beaten in fits this time as a coach. Yeah. Well, I mean, you might have to play them at some point, right? I hear you. I hear you. I think there is the preference there. But again, we're going to worry about the Cowboys.

[00:26:07] They've got Scott Drinkwater at fullback. He is rocks or diamonds. Braden Burns is playing his 100th game. Jackson Perdue, Tom Chester, Zach Labert, quick outside backs. Jay Clifford, pretty underrated. Tom Dearden, pretty much their heart and soul, is back. Played a few games, back from long-term injury. Griffin Neame, Reid Marnie, Jason Tamalolo. Tamalolo, obviously, would be a very dangerous player there still as an older guy. Just unbelievable, especially against the Sharks.

[00:26:37] Lukey, Nenei, and Cotter, if he plays. I don't think he will, but if he does, it's a pretty good back row. Your bench is Sonny Luke, John Bateman, Thomas Michele, and Cohen Hess. So, doesn't put the fear of God in me, but, you know, competent, that's for sure. And some other guys on the extended bench as well. So, it's a winnable game, that's for sure, against the Sharks. I did note that a bunch of those guys have kicked 40-20s. I'll have to look up who it was.

[00:27:06] We'll get to a preview later on in the week, but they've got two or three guys who kicked 40-20s this year, and that's a bit of a concern. So, we need to be on top of that because we just, it's not our strength to be in those positions. I don't want to think, says Riley Pollard, can help the Jets progress to week three, and all the haters written us off this week would be good to see egg on their faces. Yeah, for sure. That's always a good thing.

[00:27:32] Are there people hating on us going into this game saying we can't win? Is that what's going on? Or, I mean, I can't believe that, I mean, I know that we're favorites at the moment, and I can't believe people putting faith in the Cowboys with their defense like that. But, I mean, we're copping a lot of flack for the stadium. We knew that would happen. We need to sort of rise above that. But Luke says, I think Fitz might have Jones in front of Michael Gabriel, mainly because of the pregame presser when he asked about Gabriel last week.

[00:28:02] He talked more about Jones. That's a good point. Thanks, Luke. Appreciate it. Yeah, I don't have any intel on that one. I know that, yeah, in the past couple of weeks, I've really grown to see how liked this kid is. There's things behind the scenes like he's had a tough sort of three or four years just with, you know, some family stuff and that kind of thing. Nothing controversial, just some tough times. And he's really risen above them.

[00:28:28] And, yeah, speaking to him yesterday, he can go here to interview, but really impressive. And his gratitude for being a shark is what kind of blew me away the most. Same with Riley Pollard as well. Like, they both want to be here. They're both going to stay here. They're not going anywhere. And it'll be interesting because let's say Jones has a really great game this weekend because that's what we all want, right? So let's say he has a really good game. We win. We go to week two.

[00:28:56] I'm not going to go past week two, but let's just say he has a really good final series, for example. Say it's two or three games to finish the year. Where does that put him in a pecking order next year in the centers? Because there's a center spot free. It could get intriguing, my friends. But you do want competition for spots. I don't want to think says Ruben Cotter got man of the match last game against us. So him being out would be big for us.

[00:29:26] Yeah, I mean, he's a good player, rep player. Mark says a lot out there, Sam. Think we just make up the numbers. It shouldn't be in the finals. Yeah, I hear that. I'm not adverse to that, Mark. Thank you for reminding me of that. I understand that. I just thought it might be something more recent. But, you know, my man Luke Keery is really not impressed with all things Sharks at the moment. And you know what? Like, I get it. Like, what have we won? Four of – we've won one of the past five games.

[00:29:55] We should have lost the games at Titans. We didn't. We lost to some really bad teams. Last week was really, you know, quite impressive in a lot of ways. But I get it. Like, I get that the rollercoaster down has been dramatic. But if it's new competition, like everyone's saying, including the players, if we blitz it this week, then it's game on again, right? So happy to be the underdog. Don't like a disrespect, but happy to be the underdog. I don't want to think, says all the haters are tipping the cowboys.

[00:30:26] Okay. Fair enough. Mark says, I personally think if we get our groove on, we can get at least to the prelim. It's not unheard of, Mark. It's just we've got to do it, right? Like, it's all very well saying, look at our team. You know, we've got a great spine, and we've got an elite prop, and all that sort of stuff. Like, I get it. Like, I see it. I live and breathe this team. But if they don't go do it, then we're way off.

[00:30:56] Like, you'd be way off with that thought if they don't go do it. But you're right, because if they can beat the cowboys, which we think we can, and you march on to who we think is the Roosters, but you don't know. Like, I give the Roosters a chance against the Panthers. I do. But say it's them. I mean, we haven't beaten them this year, but they're not unbeatable. We could get there. It'd be hilarious. It'd be so funny just to put it on all the dislikers of us just to make it to the prelim for obvious reasons,

[00:31:26] but also just be great, you know, get the prelim and win it. But yeah, let's go one game at a time. Now, I'm not going to put that up, Wes, but you can see that in the comments about another person who I'm not that aware of. I only became aware of him in the past couple of weeks. And I'm not going to put up the thing I saw today because that was just clickbait and outrageous and unhappy person trying to have fun at someone else's expense. But yeah, I mean, I've probably got a lot of mutual friends

[00:31:56] and that kind of thing. So I don't want to like start a war, but I don't know who that guy is. And I don't really care. Mark says, energy shed last game has me dreaming. No, I dream away, dude. And I'm with you. I'm a dreamer. Like, let's go. Let's go. I'm just saying that I can see how, you know, sometimes if people say things about us, I can see how they come to that conclusion because we lost to the Dragons at Coggera. We lost to Canberra. We just beat the Titans.

[00:32:26] We lost to Melbourne, etc. So yeah, I see both sides of it. I don't want to think. So the last game we're in front of their fans. This time it should be more ours. One thing I wanted was, oh yeah, if we could beat Penrith in the final or grand final, it'd be worth celebrating. It'd be good to knock them out. That'd be fun. I'm with you there. But I don't know. I'm worried about my own yard first and then we'll worry about that. But look, I can't tell you enough.

[00:32:54] If you can get out to the ground on Saturday night, if you can afford it, if you can get away from your obligations, if you can physically get there, tick every box. I don't want to be like discriminative against anyone because there's lots of reasons why people can't go to games. But if you can get there, you should do it because it's going to be a great event. We think we're going to win. It's fun winning with a big crowd there. It's fun winning when it's majority of Sharks fans because it will be. I mean,

[00:33:24] if you think back to 2024 where Kieran and I went viral, it was a lot of fun that night. So if we could replicate that, happy days. But yeah, definitely if you can get there, please do. The Sharks are putting on buses. I believe they're free. You need to apply. Please jump online and apply. Don't rock up and expect to get a seat. You need to, or even expect to buy a seat. They're allocating seats to people. Jump online now and do it. It'll probably sell out.

[00:33:52] Come to Watson's in the Moorpark precinct. We're going to hang out and have some fun. And then we'll go to the stadium and tear it up there. Wes says, what's my guess on numbers being there at the game? Yeah, I don't know, man. Like before, like, like on the weekend, like last week, I was sort of thinking 17,000 people. Now, I don't know if that's overs or unders. I couldn't tell you. I'd like to crack 20. I don't know

[00:34:21] if that's realistic or not, but I'd like to. So let's see. Let's see. The club's doing what they can to make it worthwhile. We've got a double header with the NRLW to Derby. They've got free transport from certain areas. I think if you have a ticket, it's also free transport, public transport. We're putting on a pregame. I don't know what else they can kind of do to get you out there, to be honest. I know that the form hasn't been great, but

[00:34:51] that shouldn't come into it right now. It's like if you're a fan and you can do it, as said, if you can do it, then go do it, I reckon. I reckon that's how we look at it because remember the years when we're not in finals and it's hard for the last 12 years there's been one season. One season we haven't made the finals. I think we're taking it for granted because growing up and people who are a lot older than me who've been following this team a lot longer barely saw finals, you know.

[00:35:22] Then I used to see it probably every, I don't know, five years or so. There were gaps, big gaps, you know. So don't take it for granted is my point. If you can get there, do it. If you can't completely understand, jump online, stream our stuff and watch the game and jump on the socials, have some fun. But support however you can. Maybe that's the best way to say it. Support however you can. I don't want to think says the only change I'd make is Hepa Puru to the lock.

[00:35:53] McInnes is too slow these days. Hepa's defense was outstanding and better than Cam. Now on that, I don't want to think I need to study those two I reckon side by side because I don't know if that's completely accurate. I've seen how Hepa really struggle for energy out in the field sometimes. I like him. I think he's great. He was great last week. I'm keeping him. I'm playing him. I like him a lot. But I don't know if he's

[00:36:23] fitter than Cam McInnes right now. You know? And I think Cam's playing a decent role the last few weeks or last month. I think he's been copping about her up. I don't know if I'd start him to be fair but he's definitely in my 17 right now. Mark says I don't see any team in the 8 as unbeatable. They all have flaws that can be exploited. Need to get out of D right and see what happens. That's it Mark. Get your D right and anything can happen. Right? So you know Penrith are the obvious dangers. Like I mean

[00:36:53] they have a weak side of the field that they defend on and they're beatable but it's hard. Like it's not sugar coated. It's bloody hard. But it's not as hard as it was four years ago. Warriors showing some traits of bad defense. They can still score points. You probably don't want to play them over there but they'd be my second favorites. Roosters without Sam Walker is going to be interesting to see. They can win by a lot. They can make a million mistakes and lose. And the same with the Dolphins.

[00:37:23] Like we put 66 on the Dolphins. I mean they can't be that much better than us right? They're in better form I'll give you that. I like Newcastle. Souths are coming good at the right time and I think we'll beat the Cowboys. So I think you're right there. It is a bit more open than what it usually is. FisherDude says fingers crossed Sione can get is 100 tries. That would be awesome. That would be awesome. The only other

[00:37:52] Sharks to score 100 tries or more the great Andrew Eddinghausen Ronaldo Milotalo and David Beachy. So keep that in mind. Also he's playing his new team. He's going to the Cowboys. Jesse Ramien on the sideline going to the Cowboys. We seem to match up with him a lot. Milotalo has the most tries for a Shark against the Cowboys. 14 tries and his highest tally against any team. So he likes playing the Cowboys. Luke Cavell's

[00:38:21] record of third most points will be broken this weekend with Nico Hines taking over. He'll be the outright third most points. They're both equal on 948 as we speak. Wes says most teams left in the finals can leak points with the exception of Penrith. Yeah, I'm with you there. I'm with you there. Now let's look at some of

[00:39:03] nil playing to North Queensland I wasn't at. 2016 SFS one of the great games 3220 and where is Ash? Yeah, Ash, your stats are off my brother. Where are you? I just wanted to check. We did lose in 2017 against the Cowboys 15-14 we lost. We didn't go for that field goal we went right. But

[00:39:33] I appreciate the input and appreciate you being online that's for sure. 2022 we lost the Ocean Protect Stadium we remember that game 32 30 and we won in 2024 Kieran and I went viral 26 18 all good Ash no stress Mark says Dolphins Warriors will be an interesting game could be a cricket score Sandra can't wait till Saturday up the Sharks thank you very much for

[00:40:03] your amazing blogs that's okay thanks for tuning in how can he get off a shoulder charge we don't know if he will so I guess they're just hoping they're fighting it got nothing to lose maybe I

[00:40:50] hope you doing well Sharks Cowboys 750 NRL the game before is the women's NRLW derby we have to win that have to win good win for the women's team last week in New Zealand down 12 nil be a really good Warriors team I

[00:41:21] the Moorpark precinct and you have public transport on your ticket there are buses from Ocean Protect Stadium you need to apply I can't say it enough I don't want you rock it up and go Sam said I can get the bus you can't get in the bus unless you apply online so don't forget that I don't want to think said it's nanai's first game back also is that

[00:41:52] tricky trindle sign and Sarah is saying yep that sounds great that's what's going on now I would like to remind you that there are other episodes you can go listen to after this so we interviewed Riley Pollard we interviewed Riley Jones and we interviewed Oregon Kifusi Oregon Kifusi doesn't speak to anyone but Chuck So we're honoured to it's probably the most

[00:42:22] in-depth they've done or one of and I'd love you to listen to it it's on all the podcast apps it's on YouTube it's everywhere you might get our show and I think you're going to love it we in the show you can call me in the show but don't

[00:42:52] anyway Mark says Riley Jones is six foot three kick to him don't kick to Ronnie the there's already people sort of

[00:43:22] saying we can't let Polar go well he's not going anywhere so have a listen to the interview and you'll hear all getting involved

[00:43:52] Jay says Grant Atkins is the ref for those on ref watch well I can tell you this Jay without getting into too much trouble I don't have confidence in anyone so I'm going to faith in fitzy from

[00:44:21] through hey just down the road that's awesome thanks for being in touch thanks for being a viewer a listener 40 odd years yeah you've seen some good stuff that's cool hope you're doing well don't be too nervous we got this we're gonna do it Wes says are we doing any more lives before Saturday at this stage no but there'll be a bunch more coming to you but

[00:44:51] don't rule it out I just don't know what's going on for the week and what's planned I mean I do know time no no

[00:45:21] I agree but what I saw on the weekend was just not up to first grade standard you know I don't think many people would argue that and they said that the try to the fullback was a try they went oh no it's a try okay they didn't I don't think say anything about the forward pass I have faith in any of this stuff so

[00:45:51] I don't you know it's like politics there's no faith I'm sorry let's just win by a whole bunch and it won't matter right 750 kickoff oh so my friend Aaron who's also known as Spunk Records give them a follow Spunk Rex said sorry dude didn't realize you're on air that's very funny Jay says do I want a cool stat about Ronnie sure hit me Jay

[00:46:20] Aaron from Spunk Records we had someone from Therule Kai from Therule is watching you might know Kai Aaron probably you do such a small world down yeah so

[00:46:51] I'll tell you what I got Jay 14 14 against the cows highest tally against any club most by a shark against North Queensland so yeah he's on against them for sure and we're going to need it and we're going to need him to not start fights or anything just play good hard tough footy Kai my thoughts on the sharks came last week was that it was impressive it was resilient there were still some annoying errors and that kind of thing in it but

[00:47:21] I thought they deserved to win my thoughts this week are but their defence this year the Cowboys has been deplorable and we need to really hone in on that Kai if you are subscribing to the

[00:47:51] podcast and everything on here you will hear from us all week and we'll do a preview show later in the week as well so we'll go through all the X's and O's for you I can tell you the Cowboys have been super inconsistent since round 19 win loss win loss the whole time I've told you about how much they've conceded they've won a few games this year they won three or five in Sydney they're conceding a bunch of things defensively that

[00:48:29] you and the equal third most rock infringements as well so we should be getting a lot of ball in this game it's what you do with it there's only one milestone in this game really going into it at least and that's Braden Burns playing 100 games but that doesn't concern us at all it's not going to factor us at all Sarah says like politics indeed David is

[00:49:02] home game had to go to the doctors and met up again if macros get well enough I'll be there well look Dave there's no pressure on you to go to the game if you're sick brother and I think I said that when I was all the reasons if I didn't leave out sickness I'm saying it no pressure for me to go I'm just saying if you are able bodied have the money have the time head out there if you don't that's cool completely understand I don't want to think says of course we will win we're

[00:49:31] playing Penrith next week and knocking them out remember if you can guarantee that I'll go along with it if you can't guarantee it I'd be very uncomfortable but you know what we got to beat them sometime I don't even really know what that is my brother is that like a grand final thing or I can tell you Ash that Shark Cage myself some of my crew

[00:50:02] and the Sharks themselves Watson's HQ pregame from four ish NRL dub is on at 510 at Allianz Stadium NRL is 750 it's it's gonna

[00:50:38] have fun if you like to do the congrats don't do some sort of symbol that looks a little bit how you going you know what I'm talking about Wes says we only have to

[00:51:08] they're getting that little chip in their shoulder which is good they're getting that little bit of don't push us around which is good from the home ground stuff to no one believes in

[00:51:39] hit up the official channels there but I'm sure they're doing it I'm sure they'll do it for sure yeah all right so sharks are playing 750 you

[00:52:09] last dance for cam mckinnis last dance for billy burns to tom hazelton to rudolph extended is nephi sam stone and i say sam stone but sam stone street and marwini harati last dance so a lot to play for that's for sure david said we held up our heads high in 25 and we did i don't want to think says was told trindle was running level with cleary in del am before he

[00:52:39] got injured well he was leading the triassist i believe that absolutely i think it's gone now he's been missing for three or four weeks but i believe that for sure sarah says the boys did amazing in last year's finals run for sure yeah we just we'd love to replicate that what did we do we had a very

[00:53:09] that but Pete's already hit me up saying not last dance yet no i get that maybe it was the wrong choice of words i'll say this Pete i'm not being a head swell not being a whatever i was talking to yesterday who i vaguely know vaguely and i was going to interview him he had been over it and he needed to get out of there and get home or whatever and

[00:53:39] and he said oh let's have a chat and i was like no no i'm going to get you next week and give him a wink and he goes yeah yeah you will let's do it next week and i said you know why it's next week and he goes i know why it's next week and i went all right let's go so not last chance not last dance thank you for correcting me pete from your hospital bed get better man come on get out of there we don't want you in there that's no

[00:54:17] on on films uh mainly i think the horror genre but lots of films old films he's a good fella pete all right now i had one more thing to discuss what was it it was this so 5 10 pm if you haven't heard the nrl sharks women's team nrlw team is

[00:55:16] in johnston green jacinda carter who's great every week extended bench of tegan dimmick who can find herself unlucky not to be in that starting team filomena filomena hannese olivia herman miller laro has been really great as a replacement winger and coffee brookfield as well on the extended bench so we gotta go beat those drags i reckon so if you can get out there for that game that will be in breaking news allianz stadium 5 10 pm on saturday

[00:55:46] you didn't hear that incorrectly alex said i think this is the closest best nrlw team all year oh the team named yeah uh yeah it's strong i mean if you're leaving out some of those players and yeah for sure i don't want to think there's no way we can lose those dagons that would be the worst outcome for the weekend imagine the downer if i'm no pressure feeling we're going four from four

[00:56:16] flag cup nrl dub nrl let's go all in one day i've already had people telling me they're doing the whole thing wow wow wow wow now we've also got a kieran episode out for you i know a lot of people like to listen and watch kieran show he and i recorded yesterday some point and we had a good chat and there's lots of saturday

[00:56:50] saturday night so you can go consume that if you haven't and we'll turn this into another pod this episode here and we've got some more coming for you appreciate it that's your team i've said it a few times you know it by now but the big news is riley

[00:57:20] jones holds his spot and i don't think there's going to be any kind of toing or throwing there i and he talked me around because i wasn't really thinking about it and he talked me into it and

[00:57:50] then i went and spoke with riley and you can hear that on another podcast episode and i think i'm all good i'm ready to go it's still a big ask you know but let's see what happens let's see what he's sure and he's surrounded by some really good players out there as well this week so a lot more of a mature team and he's been part

[00:58:34] sure pete says thanks for the world wishes what's pete's channel to pete before you go before you turn on nightmare on elm street part 11 put put up your name of your podcast etc and in the channel that'd be awesome wes says we got this up up i don't want to think says i never saw one complaint on here about riley the center all happy sharks this week oh that's good yeah that's

[00:59:27] good original shark caster as well and he has an amazing photo of him and is it robert is it england i don't know how to pronounce his last name the real life freddy krueger and that's that's the best thing ever anyway we've turned this new repeat podcast dave said thanks sam i'm really happy the efforts put in last saturday made it harder fits team selecting would love michael being the team but yeah he's not eligible unfortunately

[00:59:57] ash is giving us some love which is lovely keeping me informed yes there's definitely other shark casts there's definitely other sharks podcasts in the community absolutely and we appreciate everyone thank you so much wesley is reminding me you don't need to remind me wes actually you do need to remind me i already knew he's a very good drummer pete welcome to the pete podcast no i'm just kidding pete i'm just mucking around

[01:00:27] happy to talk about you great drummer pete great drummer i don't want to think says are we getting gaz on this week you know if you go to one of the youtube episodes gary and i did recently someone just writes him off as a bulldog it's hilarious it might be someone on here i don't uh we can see what do it with gaz kfabe that's how it works you know if someone's free they get the priority if they're not we move it around a little bit we got a little

[01:00:57] organized crew and we got some surprises coming though so uh it's a big week and you will not miss out on anything and i'm pretty pumped i'm pretty pumped. Let's go. Let's go win it. Grab a ticket. If you can get there, if you can't, I understand. If you can, get out there. There are buses from the Sharks. You need to register with them. You

[01:01:26] need to. Watson's HQ, I think it's called. Watson's in the precinct where we're going to be in Moorpark. It'll be in all the socials. Don't worry. But that's where we're going to start the party and it's going to finish with us singing Up Up Cronulla and I cannot wait. Cannot wait. In my

[01:01:50] mind, I'm already there and we'll get out of here with a bit of music as we normally do. Until then, have fun. Take care. Heal up if you're healing like Pete, our mate.
