[00:00:56] Now's the time to see
[00:01:13] Oh, hi there. Welcome to SharkCastPod, a podcast dedicated to the greatest sporting club in the history of the world. The mighty Cronulla Sutherland Sharks. Holy cow. What a game. Sharks win 10-8 over in New Zealand. Hard fought. Hard fought. Holy cow. It means a lot. In fifth place currently, look, Sharks. Fifth place. And some remarkable performances out there.
[00:02:32] Let's just start with the guy that saved the day. Will Kennedy, number one, our fullback for this year and next year. The Hail Mary of all drop goal stops. Like that's the highlight reel right there. Braden Trindle with a two point conversion. Not one, my friends. Two. Got a bit lucky at the end. Some very poor discipline, which we'll talk about.
[00:03:03] But, and they missed the conversion as we all saw. But that effort from the whole team was remarkable. And I want to hear from all of you guys and girls. Dion says, up, up. Trav says, what a game. Best game of the year. Up, up. Matty Crosby in OG says, very good game. Great defense. And two moments that got us the win.
[00:03:30] Marky Mark says, had a feeling with Sneak win today. How good is to win a close one? Don't get a lot lately. Danny says, seriously, our attack was bad, but defense is what wins grand finals. The boys turned up today. Oh, Danny, there's no doubt, my friend, that inside opposition 20, what did we have? Like almost 40. Like we had double the amount of possession. But we weren't throwing much at them. And there was a lot of clunkiness. It might have been the weather. It might have been the fact that it's second tier guys compared to Nico and Blake.
[00:03:59] But they got it done. But I agree with you, clunky. Shake 20 is going there early. Katoa's sharp career should end right there after one of the dumbest things I've seen a player do. No excuses there, my man. I thought he was fine otherwise. Pretty safe. But I take your point, and I'm sure we'll talk about it. Now, here's an OG if I've ever seen one. The great Scott Maxworthy.
[00:04:25] The reason why you OGs had SharkCast TV back in the day is because of Scott Maxworthy. Everyone get down and say thanks to him. Great gutsy win. Thanks, Scotty. Hope you're good. Travis says, Kennedy, my man, your man, gets it done with an all-time charge down and clicks to win. It was unbelievable. It was unbelievable. It was almost as good as the Trindle thing. Was it better? I don't know. Let's do a poll. We don't need to do a poll. They're both awesome. Liz says, woo-hoo, up, up, Cronulla.
[00:04:55] Thanks, Liz. Mitch says, scrappy, hard, fought, gritty win. Well done, boys. Rob has also brought up something interesting about Jaden Beryl. Game on the line. He goes left after everyone had the team huddle, and clearly we wanted to go right. We've seen it before, Rob. We saw it in the, oh my God, was it against the Warriors? It was. In a trial match. Maybe a year and a half ago. And he went left.
[00:05:24] He had a good game otherwise. He'll learn from it. This is what we're going to hear in the press conference, by the way, boys and girls. We'll learn from this. Sean says, what a bloody heart stopper. Anything I've ever seen a greater charge yet? And Gavin, that will count an intringle outstanding, not just a field goal, but a two-pointer. The two-pointer is exactly what this is all about. And we have royalty calling in right now. Let's get him in here. OG, RCB. How are you, my friend? I'm good, man. I'm just getting, I'm at the bottle shop.
[00:05:54] I won't take too much of your time. Let's do it. I'm going to celebrate. God damn, that was incredible. Good game, huh? Oh, so tough, dude. That was the toughest we've played for ages. Probably didn't have enough, like, nous with the ball. But so tough, so gutsy. I can't believe he kicked that field goal. Holy crap. As soon as he, as soon as it left, it looked pretty good. What about, what about Kennedy catching the kick?
[00:06:23] Oh, stop it. Stop it. I can't handle it. Have you ever seen anything like that? No, I haven't. Maybe from David Pecci, in all honesty. Maybe David Pecci did it. Nah. I've never seen that. Not in a million years. Amazing. So good. Hub the boys. All right. Are you really going to? Oh, sorry. I swore. Yeah, I've got to go. But yeah, hub the sharks. We win. I appreciate you calling in. All right, RCB. Let's go again next week. Get the chookies. Get them. All right, catch up. See you, brother. Have a good night.
[00:06:52] That's the great RCB. Good friend of the show. And if you want to dial in and have a short, sharp say, there's links and places you can do it. Francis is very happy. Shake says, Trindle's worst game is a pro than does that. Lol. There was some clunkiness with the inside balls, my friend. But I didn't think worst game. But I'm here to read out your things, your thoughts. Glenn says, The most impressive thing about tonight was how tough they played. Wasn't pretty.
[00:07:20] But it will turn out to be an important win. Yeah, I completely agree. Well said, Glenn. Thank you. JFM said, I was thinking throughout the game that Will was quiet. However, with an effort. What an effort to hang on to that ball. Wow. He wasn't too quiet. He did a line break. And he was involved. He was involved. Matt says, The Warriors' defense is second best. So that's why they look so good. And also, we just beat the second. We did just beat the second best team.
[00:07:50] And speaking of Matt, he's going to jump on. How good is this? Hey, Matty. How are you? Hey, how are you going, Sammy, boy? Good, man. Good win, huh? Oh, it was a good win. Best effort I've seen all year round. Yeah. What about the Kennedy Trindle show at the end? Holy cow. That was the most surprise, mate. I had never seen that in my life. And then followed by that two-set ladder, two-set ladder, with Tricky doing the 2.4 footy-meter field goal. Absolutely excellent. I know, right? Because it's one point, Matt. They're coming back at us. But two points, to be fair,
[00:08:19] they had the chance to level it up, but they didn't. But the two-pointer was amazing because it did seal the game. Like, just brilliant from Trindle. Oh, yeah. I had a hard tactic. I'll do three. The Fib came out in the last one minute or so with Zeltic Taylor, but probably a bit of a game in game time there. So I give him a bit of benefit of the job. I hope so. Who else did you like, aside from those two guys? Well, I was the usual Kennedy and Tricky.
[00:08:48] Peru's been doing well. Burrell, hot and cold, the left went left. But overall, I think the team went well overall. That was the best performance this year. Awesome. Awesome. And how are you spending your night? What are you doing? I'm relaxing from a drone racing event and having some Penny supporters over watching the game with us as well as a fellow Kiwi also. Oh, well, go easy on the Kiwi and it's nice that the Penrith fans now know what a winning team looks like. So that's awesome. Yeah.
[00:09:20] Just a gag, people. Just a gag. Hey, Renee. How you going? The great Renee. Go to the Panthers. Thanks a lot. Thanks for calling me, Matty. See you, brother. Thanks, mate. How good is this? Pete says, great win, Kennedy, with the play of the season so far. Now I need to go over our friends on Insta. I know you're there. I know you're there. All right. All things up. All things, Cronulla Sharks. All underscore things underscore Cronulla underscore sharks. Give him a follow. It's Ash the Historian. As good as it gets.
[00:09:50] He would have had a tear in his eye, I know. Just like I did. I had the goosebumps. It was all happening. That's a real win, my friends. All right. He also says, Beryl was outstanding off the bench. Now, Ash from the Sharks store said, just saying, got home from a movie, popped the retro hoodie. Sorry. Popped the retro hockey jersey on and Trindle nailed the field goal. Lucky outfit. Well, you can never take it off. That's what you're going to be doing.
[00:10:19] Hello to Mozzie Butts. Jay says, big win reminded me. Similar to the 9-8 win against the Dogs in 2017. Oh, I can't really remember that at the moment, but I appreciate you bringing it up. Hello to our friends at Shark Cage. He also says, disappointed with Katoa. Didn't think he had a solid enough game to keep his place next week. Well, we'll talk all about that tonight and throughout the week. I thought the issue was the last play, obviously. I didn't really have too much of an issue before that. Happy to talk about it though. Mozzie Butts says,
[00:10:49] amazing results. Could that have been Toby's best game for a long time? He was getting bashed and battered, wasn't he? Adam Merch Barnsey has joined. He said, heartstopper. Our friend at Life's A Mitch Podcast. Give him a follow, please. Life's A Mitch underscore podcast joined. He said, sure, what a win, bro. SMAC85 with the quote of the night says, everyone needs to shave their heads.
[00:11:17] I'm going to go easy on anything about that because if I say it, then I don't do it and I get in trouble. Jay says, Fitz would have loved this type of victory. Absolutely. And Danny says, incredible, stupendous sharks love. That's awesome, you guys and girls. Thanks so much. Vincent says, bring on the Rortas. We can do it. Oh, there's a bit of feeling in the camp. I like it. I like it. Let's go. Let's go.
[00:11:46] The good news is we've got eight days. That's Sunday week. So we, plenty of time to recuperate as fans, as players, more importantly. Daniel says, how brutal was that game? Refreshing for both teams, outstanding defense. It was a good game. Now I mentioned it, those eight days are going to help us because they're going to be so bruised and battered. Oh my God. Kieran from the show messaged me and said, I've never seen a team hit so hard. He said a few other things, but
[00:12:19] what a great win guys and girls. Oh my God. Adam says, has to be the catch of the year from Will Kennedy. Chris says, my heart. I'm with you, brother. J Rick says, best game of watching ages. Kennedy. Wow. This is why I love a rugby league. Well, like this one. Shake says, Kennedy has been incredible this year. Best value for money contract in the game. Okay. Where do we stand now? It's not so much you people, but people online.
[00:12:48] Where do we stand with Will Kennedy? Is he finally convinced you? Like, what's a guy going to do? This is a big call from Warwick and I'm not here to dispute it. The gutsiest win since the 2016 grand final. I mean, it's up there. It's definitely up there. We're missing Blake Braley. Pretty much our best player. We're missing Nico Hines. He's in our, what, top three to five best players. We're missing out on the final Blake.
[00:13:19] Like, it's a good win. Jesse Colquhoun went off very early with a concussion. Poor fella. Shark Boy Gonzalez said, lack structure and polish and footy IQ, but a lot of effort and guts and freakability by Tricky, Tricky and Kennedy. With the footy IQ, I thought it was mostly okay, but it disappeared the longer it went, the more tired they got, et cetera.
[00:13:48] I'm with JJM, JFM here. Billy Burns had an unusually average game out of character of him. I don't think it was average, but there was some stuff I saw where I was like, whoa, I don't, that's not usually you. I thought he made up for it in a lot of ways because watching him pretty close, but there was, yeah, definitely some moments, but that's okay, we got it. Jack Jones says, up, up. Malcolm says, brilliant. Loosh, my man from Melbourne, says, holy shh,
[00:14:18] he knows he can't throw in the show. That Kennedy charge down was pure magic and he also wants to have a sign saying, bald ball. Are we all shaving our heads? I don't, I don't, I really don't want to shave my head. Do it for the team, but I don't, I seem like the team of Shark Cards Univis. If we're all doing it, maybe I will. Pete says, if Kennedy doesn't make that play, we don't win. I think that's a fair statement.
[00:14:48] Mitch said, let's be real. The game had some moments that hit as hard as, right, step job. Blair says, that's not Blair. Where is he? Blair says, up, up, Cronulla, what a win. Tricky and Kennedy, lifetime contracts. You get in trouble for saying that. Scott says, doesn't matter how you get it done. That's two points, baby. I'm pumped. We're all pumped. My phone's going bonkers.
[00:15:19] ghastly says, I love Will Kennedy. It's probably the season defining game. How good is a low scoring game? And one more thing. Stam stone street back in next week, please. Okay. Watch this space. Look, does that last play tip the coach over the edge? I don't know. I don't know. Cause we've seen that before that kind of thing from Sioni. And it was really unfortunate. Cause I thought he was going okay. Otherwise. So it does,
[00:15:49] it does level up that debate. Blues forces as a gen XR. That was old school rugby league. A real battle. Blair says the was put in a fight and didn't give up. Go the mighty sharkies. Grunge Meister fuzz. Fantastic vibe. But sharks at Crilla. I bet there was when tricky's two point can feel good. Went over the club vibe was through the roof.
[00:16:20] Maddie was doing a shark stance. A season defining effort. That's awesome. You were there, dude. McDonald DC says the only other charge down like Kennedy's was Katoa's in around 15 last year against the dragons. Oh yeah, that's a good point. Kennedy's is unbeatable though. So I remember that one. I think we've got an audio bite of that.
[00:16:49] I feel like this is better though, but it's a good point. Thank you so much. Danny says skomo on. I don't want to hear that word. John says what a win reminds me of I'm a shark war of attrition. 17 hard workers. Completely agree. Chris says very inspiring effort. One of those games we won our best, where there was a fact that lacked a bit of direction and polish, but honestly take those two points and run brilliant defensive effort, amazing resilience.
[00:17:18] I couldn't have said it better, Chris. I think that's completely accurate and well written. And thank you for that. You know, sometimes it doesn't really matter. And hear me out how you play. It just matters about winning. And tonight was about winning. You want to stay up near that top four. We're currently in fifth. We're in a hard start of a hard run away from home. And this is a tick and we weren't probably going to tick this one off. And we have, and then we move on. So that's done.
[00:17:48] We're done with the warriors. We're done. We get some troops back next week, I believe. And then we play the roosters. So. That's all that's going to matter now. It's not going to matter that we didn't have good attack in this game. We know we can attack. It's fine. We attacked well against the dragons without, with the same team without, you know, without Nico and Blake and those guys. We know we can do it. Tonight,
[00:18:17] you come up against a really good defensive team. Loose says, he was somewhat critical about taking the two in the first half. I'm stoked to be proven wrong. Now it was always the right decision, man. And that weather, it was, they were celebrating that one for sure. Chris says, tough game. Sharks up, up. Martin says, great coaching job. JJM says, Jesse Raymond in good form, particularly the first half. Yeah,
[00:18:47] he was. And then what about this? Javrik says, work the baby up at the end from nap time. Our friend Ellie said, such a tough, gritty game. Up, up. Meggo says, our bald boys are the power horse. Behind our game plan. Gets the job done. Kennedy's the goat. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Let's go. Will.
[00:19:19] Susan says, awesome win. Good old fashioned dog fight. Up, up. Now I want to go over to our friends across the yard here. What have we got here? Okay. Okay. Okay. Mitch says, it makes me wonder, do we do hides and tricky cancel each other out as a dominant half and submissive half like Peru seems to work that way. I think we need to study all that stuff, Mitch,
[00:19:48] before we make anything to pronounce there. I thought that, uh, Nifa was really good tonight and he continues to be really good, but I see your point. Your point is Trindle's running the show, but to be fair, Mitch, he was running the show tonight and it wasn't exactly smooth sailing. So I want Nico back and I want them to work it out because we know they can. Dylan says, was the Kennedy charge down the best play of all time?
[00:20:19] I mean, the Fafita try in the grand finals, the best play of all time, but I'm happy to go second. BD Harrell says, I was there. So good. Few shucky supporters. That's great, man. Matt says, how good was Kenny in that charge down catch? Very exciting. And Mitch says, the gritty conditions didn't help the attack yet. I agree completely with that.
[00:20:49] I'm really happy with that performance. You know, I really am. Wes says, I'm so happy with how we just kept hanging in there. The wires were a very, very good side. Important two points. He says, with the buy, the buy is not next week. Whereas we've got roosters, roosters next week. Paul says, great defense tonight. Matt says, could Bradley be back next week? He could be. Yeah, he could be. I don't know if he will be, but he's aiming for it and he's training and that kind of stuff.
[00:21:18] So whether they wait and let him have the buy and then come back, I'm not sure. But Braley's a pretty determined guy and it would not surprise me to see him there. I'm not saying he will be there. Adam says, my old man, ex-Kernel boy living in Auckland and now has a few weeks of bragging rights at work. Bless. Wes, no apologies here. You know that brother, we're all good. Just, just a bit of correction. That's all.
[00:21:48] Chris says, we had no polish, lacking a bit of leadership in attack, but they hung him there and found a way. Incredible win. I think that is correct. Chris in that I was also looking for someone out there to, to really take hold of it before Will did his thing. And before. Trendle with that amazing, remarkable two point field goal. I was looking for some leadership and I couldn't really see it. And when I say leadership, I mean, just someone to take the game and, and,
[00:22:18] and I waited a long time, but we got there. We got there and I, and they all played really, really good. Corey says that was more scarier than a horror movie. Jump scare. Uh, yeah, it was, it was something. It was adrenaline. It was fun. I really, I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it. I didn't have a good feeling when it came down to fuel goal time, but then we kept getting the charge downs and I thought, okay, but I didn't see the Sione Catoa penalty coming. I'm sorry.
[00:22:48] I didn't see it. And, uh, that was regrettable. Shake says, Jesse Colhoom's having a blind as he got knocked out. He's going to be a great middle forward. Should point out that he changed the game in that moment with that, uh, tackle turnover as well. So, uh, unfortunately concussed category one, I believe, but, uh, he, he turned the game in that moment too. Loosh says, I don't have a problem with Kennedy.
[00:23:17] I love Kennedy, but Eisen is nipping at his heels looking forward. Eisen is a future. It's just a matter of managing the back line until Eisen is ready. So just on that, Loosh, I watched Eisen today. I've watched every game since he came back. I think I've watched every game he's played in Cronulla colors and jets colors. Uh, I'm a huge Eisen guy. Um, but I don't know, man,
[00:23:47] definitely the future. I don't know if he's nipping at his heels because today with some good stuff, there was some bad stuff and that's because he's young. He's coming back from an ACL next year. Maybe, maybe, but we'll count on these in career best form. Don't kid yourself about it. He, he, you can't drop someone or replace someone just because there's a young fellow coming through. That's Kennedy's going too good for that.
[00:24:18] That's my opinion. In time, I think the year after next, it'll be Iceland time. And I'll support it. A hundred percent. Ghastly says, Will Kennedy has proven he's not the biggest problem in this roster. Everyone stand up. Everyone clap. He said, there's some way bigger issues in the team than our fullback. Now I don't see a wall of issues.
[00:24:47] I think there's things you could do ghastly, but I'm a hundred percent with you that he's not the problem. When I read that we can't win a grand final with this guy, I literally want to insert whatever you think I want to do. Like it's just, it's just, uh, uneducated and it is a cheap way of looking at things. And I'm not basing it on one thing tonight. I'm not like, he's just a really good fullback and he's our guy.
[00:25:17] And he, as you say, he's not really, he's not really the problem. Sean said, they all said Latrell was anyone and kick one 40 meter field goal, but Brendan Trindle proved them wrong. Brandon Trindle. What? I don't know. I can't speak. I'm so out of it, out of it from, uh, happiness, nothing else. Danny says, what a win,
[00:25:47] John. I agree with this brother. We're definitely missing Heinz and Braly and attack. Couldn't agree more. Uh, there was some things today that looked, you know, really clunky, which is expected, but it was a bit much. It was going to be, I thought almost going to cost us the game, but thankfully it didn't. Joe says gritty game. Uh, Dion is asking about Colquhoun. It was category one. Is that the bad one or is that a good one? I don't know.
[00:26:16] I believe it was category one. this is interesting from shake. He said, McInnes was far too involved with the ball playing in this game. He needed to get out of the way and let the halves do their thing. It was frustrating. So I hadn't thought about that, but I did think that he potentially could have been off the field for less. Having said that, sorry, off the field for more, having said that we were down a middle forward.
[00:26:44] So maybe it did just tinker with that substitution system and maybe there was no choice. Um, but he was, he was tough and there was some important runs and I was happy he was there, but I agree with you. I don't think he needs to touch the ball in that way as much. Dave said across the board, we bought in and committed. It was a great win. Our attack wasn't bad. Give the wise credit. They're a solid team.
[00:27:14] Great. We know I was going off at home. That's a good point. The reason I say our attack was a bit off was because it was just, they were dropping the ball and running into each other. It wasn't so much anything else. PK Kenner, the great man. We can use this gritty wind to springboard our season. I hope so. I hope so. Otherwise it's a lot of effort for not doing that. So I really hope so. Jason Hawes, Crips and Crips real estate said, yes,
[00:27:44] Danny's laughing at me for making a fool of myself. Loosh says, why was Stoney dropped completely last minute? I find it unusual to see a name starter dropped entirely out of the squad before the game, unless there's an injury we aren't being told about. But so my mail on that is that I believe the player in question would have known about it.
[00:28:11] It wasn't a last minute thing is what I think happened. I would rather the coach come out and say things about this sort of subject matter. But I know that they like Stoney. They've signed him for three years. I feel like they thought Katoa was ready to go physically. And when it comes to a tiered layer of wingers,
[00:28:42] you'd have to think that for this reason, maybe they've got Cioni above Sam Stone Street. Now I know a lot of our fans, Sharks fans, Shark Cast fans, same thing, right? A lot of people don't see it that way. People like me sit on the fence and go, oh, I don't know. They're both pretty good. But that's what I think happened, my friend. So it wasn't, Fitz, he doesn't play games. He's not a game player. He's not out to ruin careers. He's not out to ruin team morale.
[00:29:11] Whatever went down, went down with the blessing of the senior leadership group. And, and Sam would have been well aware of what was going on from the moment the decision was made. That wouldn't have been last minute. Sydney says, Kennedy, Trindle, game freaks, Cronella all the way. Best is yet to come. I hope so, Sydney. That's awesome. Thank you. Lucius,
[00:29:41] hot take, Sharks Warriors grand final. Well, okay. I don't mind that. Smitty, our mate says, what a game, such a good game. Great win. No one gave us a chance. Yeah. I mean, I got to say even my colleagues at Fox at halftime, they were like, this is going to go one way, but thankfully they were wrong skis. Benny said, I thought Trindle's fifth tackle kicking options were rubbish.
[00:30:12] The amount of dumb rubber kicks were quite high. I'll need to watch that back. My friend, I didn't see too many grubbers aside from in goal, which I quite like, but I appreciate you letting me know. Troy says sensational, tough, tough, tough win. Danny says when he's Heinz back, I think they're aiming for the Jooks game, Danny,
[00:30:39] but I think he's probably more realistically, potentially after the buy, whereas I think Blake is more of a chance before the buy. I, I'm not a doctor. Obviously I'm a podcast dude, but, um, I think it's trending that way, but I know he's trending in the right direction. So he's got eight days from now. So we'll see what happens. They're not going to rush him though. They can't, they can't rush that kind of calf injury. Real sharks fans is absolutely take that win. What a finish,
[00:31:07] but we do look a bit lost without Heinz and Brails. Yeah, that's fair. That's fair. Let's jump over to other platforms. Oh, Jesse. Jesse says, how do we join? So Jesse, if you want to jump on, if you go to Instagram stories, shark cast stories, there should be one. The last one, it's the link there. It's a stream yard link. I think that's the way you jump on from Instagram. My little nephew,
[00:31:37] who's not very little anymore. He's about a hundred feet tall. He has joined, which is awesome. Now here's some advice from Jacqueline and we respect her opinion very much. She says, I think the shark cage should start wearing bald caps. Well, they are watching now listening, Jacqueline. So I reckon that's going to be a thing and you should get the credit for it. Jay said outside the grand final in 2016, the best play of all time was Chris McKenna charged down against the dragons in the first set.
[00:32:08] Back in the early two thousands. Okay. Okay. My nephew says, bald ball for nil for no Jersey fanatic 78. Thank goodness. It didn't go an extra time. Yeah. I'm with you there. I'm with you. Thanks everyone for joining. Really appreciate everyone jumping on. Jay says, McKenna's handling the ball too much in the first half. Need to get him, get the ball to Trindle. Yeah.
[00:32:38] Yeah. And my nephew Tom says, massive win. We felt the more dominant team for the majority of the game. And with some big guns to come back, we have looked to have turned a corner. I hope so, my man. I hope so. Uh, it'd be terrible to sort of not back this up with something pretty special, but yeah, really cool stuff. And yeah, for anyone listening, watching, whatever you're doing right now, live, uh, you get onto the show by stream yards. There's a stream yard link in the comments.
[00:33:08] And if you want to start, you'd have to go to the story that I left. Cause I can't leave comments there. It's a weird thing, but he click on stream yard and it'll take you through. It's pretty easy to come through. If you want to come through, I'm not going to be on here all night, even though I want to party all night, but I'm not coming on here all night. So if you want to jump on sooner rather than later, that'd be awesome. No pressure to, we still haven't gone through the stats and the players, get through all the comments. Holy cow. I love it. The greatest team in the history of the world win 10, eight old school. Luke says, Kennedy's charge down catch was clutch. Oh, I stop it. I can't,
[00:33:37] I can't go on. It was clutch. What a great definition of will Kennedy clutch toughed out the game turning point of the season. This could be the year. Whoa. All right. Lush. He's, he's not sure to controversy. Lush. Hey, I'm going to be down in your state tomorrow, by the way, playing a gig. I mean, we haven't lost a gig since Heinz went down. Okay.
[00:34:06] Roscoe says that win was character building and we needed a gritty one. Yeah. Good point. Roscoe. Thanks. Greg says, never in doubt. But we always have the wood on the warriors. Take the two points. Nice. Yeah. We over there. What is it now? Seven of nine. I think. Oh, Cameron says, I have to say, we showed how we can win big games. That's a good point. Oh, we can't win big games. We did it tonight.
[00:34:36] Phil, the firey says, we look clunky at times, but won the moment when it mattered. Thanks, Phil. Adam says, it's strange. We never went wide to our wingers. I think it's because of the weather, Adam, like they played real safe footy. You could see the warriors trying to use that defensively when the center's got the ball, for example, trying to push them out and slide them out. And it, it just looked like I was,
[00:35:05] we were going to two or three balls wide at the side. I was like, stop, stop throwing the ball around. Just play like head down. Let's see. Said thoughts on who have a starting as hooker. Struggling to see why Fitzy wouldn't start with Beryl, and bring Puru on the second half for an energy boost. It's a good point you raise. I think because it's working is one reason. I know it sounds kind of obvious and simple, but I think the reason,
[00:35:33] one of the reasons to keep going is that it's working. And I think how Hepa sort of goes out and does his best. He's not a traditional hooker. He's a little bit out of lib when it comes to playing them a nine. But then by the time Beryl comes on, he straightens it up. He gets it all going a bit more. I will say this. I think I'm a little bit more comfortable with Hohepp there than Beryl. Beryl had one blemish tonight,
[00:36:04] and we all have them. Like he went left and he should have gone right, but he was good otherwise. I like this one-two punch from these guys. It's kind of cool. I want Blake back, but it's kind of cool. Would I swap them though? Let's see. I'm not sure. At the moment, I probably wouldn't. No. Skit said, now that's the Sharks DNA. I've not seen that since last year's finals run.
[00:36:33] That's a good point. It was very finals like tonight. But they also say missed Braley and Nico. Our mate Steve says, give Will a raise. Yeah. Your new deal's just gone up. Jason Hawes says, the commentators were correct in that moment. The commentators were correct in that a moment would win the game. Yes.
[00:37:03] Tricky's field goal was important, but Kennedy's charge down was the reason we won. It's hard for me to differentiate the two, Jason, because the field goal was a cracker. And the fact that it was two points really shut out the most obvious way for them to respond with the one point field goal to level it up. So I was pretty enamored with that field goal, but the Will Kennedy thing like, Oh, you're right. Like it doesn't happen.
[00:37:30] So it was ridiculous. I'm going to keep doing this for a while. Then I'm going to go watch that on replay until I have to go to bed. Like that was just crazy. When I say watch that on replay, just the Will Kennedy thing. Adam is mentioning about Liam in, in, in cup today, didn't have his best game. They were pretty down. Jesse. So just to answer you again, my friend,
[00:37:59] if you want to come on, have a chat, I'll just do it again now for you. There's a link. I'm going to put in this. It just says streamyard.com. And, and if you want to click on that on your phone or on your tablet or whatever you're on, it'll take you through a few steps and then you'll be able, I'll see you pop up and I'll pop you on. And we have a chat. If you want to have a chat, it's fairly easy. If you don't know how to do it, if you can't work it out, shoot me an email or something.
[00:38:29] Sharkuspod.com. And we'll talk you through it through in the week. And you can jump on next week. But if you want to jump on now, if you work it out, I'll be on here for a bit longer. So V Danza says, we barely beat a warrior C team. We should have smashed them. Look, I appreciate that. But also I think that's a bit of a stretch because we were missing like half our team as well. And we had guys who are cup footballers playing on a big stage over there in
[00:38:58] front of a big crowd in pretty bad conditions. We won the game. So I'm happy with it. I thought we did smash them physically in the first half. Skits raises a good point. You can't compare Isen's form in cup to NRL when surrounded by good players. Iro is a good example of that. Poor analysis by you, but Will is not going there at the moment in good form. I don't know who's got the poor analysis there, but if it's me, I'm happy to take it. You're right.
[00:39:28] You're absolutely right. I'm sure when he comes into first grade, he's played one first grade game and he was great. No one's knocking Isen. He's back from a major injury, but he's just not going to be our fullback for a while. I think he knows that. I think he's comfortable with it. I think it's the fans that aren't comfortable with it. On that matter, Luce says, I agree. 100% Kennedy's incredible. I can't see a situation where he's dropped for Isen on anyone in the next 12 months. And he's a massive Mr. Kennedy.
[00:39:56] You don't think he can stomach the thought of him playing for another team in the league. I join you there, my friend. I join you there. So Adam is suggesting that Colquhoun has an 11-day stand down for next week and no training. That's not good. That's not good. That troubles me. We got some middles. Might be Big Tuku time, actually. He was getting close today. But, oh no, Finoa Blake's back, hopefully. Touch wood.
[00:40:27] But yeah, no, Jesse Colquhoun is not good. Graham says, Miss Braley big time would, would rather see Beryl start, given he's a hooker. Yep, fair enough. V Danza says, they had far more experience out. Well, we had Nico Hines, Blake Braley, and Finoa Blake. That's pretty experienced. Wesley says, we're disconnected in offense, but certainly not disconnected with grit and guts. Well said.
[00:40:59] Lucius, I'm not going to join that crew right now. Troy says, we'll just prove he can't drop a kick. Like, Garsley said, we are 2-0 against the Warriors, 1-0 against Manly, both the contenders in the top four. Are we in that category, or are we still apparently not a top four side? I think after tonight, you could call us a top four side. I do. Yeah. Got to back it up though, against the Chookies. Like you, I'm certain of that. But I think so. And I think that
[00:41:28] a win like tonight really, even points wise, just helps you along the way. Like, it's not, you weren't supposed to win tonight, and you did. Roger said, Shark showed grit, determination, and desperation tonight. A great win against the odds, especially when we lost Jesse Colquhoun early. Will Kennedy was the standout. Thanks, Roger. Hope you're good. Shake says, I'll be interested when Blake and Nico come back, if we keep playing this very vanilla one out, and back under attack.
[00:41:58] I haven't seen much block shape out the back, on the opposition trial line. Oh, I think they'll spice it up a bit, my friend. I don't have too many problems tonight, with the way they played, in attack, because, they're obviously, A, backing their defense, but also, B, the conditions did not, allow for any kind of, crazy football. Like, I'm sorry, it just didn't. I haven't even read one, stat out tonight. You ready for our completion rate in the rain?
[00:42:27] I can live with this. 84%. 8-4. That's because they weren't getting too, tricky with the handling. Peter said, up until the last three games, I've seen a lack of communication on the field. Not anymore. Tricky McInnes, and Ronnie seem to have added as, a much better level to our game. Thank you very much. Adam, with some criticism about Stone Street,
[00:42:57] who to be fair, didn't play. That's a bit harsh, but I take your point. You're saying that Sione hits the line, with more power. Thank you for that. Grungemeister Fuzz, must acknowledge the big call by Fitzgibbon, the correct call to put Ronnie up against DWZ. What about that? What about that for a call? Thanks for calling it out. Grungemeister Fuzz,
[00:43:25] with the greatest name in the history of the world. Yeah, absolutely. He's coaching well this year. He's coaching well. Jack says, barely, in attack today. Take the win, but not much forward movement without Braley. Okay. Thank you, Jack. Sean says, Hines needs to sit back when he comes back,
[00:43:53] and just insert himself wherever he sees something tricky. Runs his team so well. Plus, we've gone back to tough, hard running sets. It's no surprise. We're almost back to our tough best. I think this happened last time Nico was out. There was a bit of a, bit of a streak, and they, and he, he did that. He came back, and he didn't take over. He didn't, like, I've, Nico's not the problem this year. Like, Nico's fine. Trust me. Like, they're going to be okay together, because Trindle has been taking the lead. It's not that different.
[00:44:26] Finlay, I think we answered this already, but appreciate you writing in. Thoughts on who? I hope it's starting as hooker. Can't seem to understand why 50 wouldn't start barrel. I think it's now to the point where it's a winning streak, and it's, it's good habits. You could always mix it up, but I'm not, I don't have an answer to be honest, but I, I don't think you'd change a winning team unless you have to. Pete says,
[00:44:56] I'm glad we won. I don't think my 63 year old heart would have survived extra time. Well, I'm glad to, if that's the case, Pete, but, uh, don't go anywhere because we need you around because you're a great dude. You, you, you watch horror movies for a living almost, you know, like, don't give me, don't give me anything about stress. You know about stress and scares. This is great from Paul.
[00:45:26] Sione's last play to wind down the clock was brilliant for Paul. That could be the comment of the night. Jerick said, Colquhoun did great. Burns was great. We'll learn from not asking a field goal after the team huddle at nine minutes left. So that was intriguing. There was a break in play. Both teams had the huddle and the huddle went forever. And you can see what Trindle was doing.
[00:45:55] He was gesturing that way towards the posts and then give me the ball. And they didn't do it. Beryl went left and nothing happened. I mean, there was a play on for telekai and the fire, but you know, take the safe option when you can. And you're right. They'll learn from it. They'll learn from it. Herndo 11 says, there's a great win for the ages.
[00:46:23] How good King Kennedy is a freak. Defensive effort was relentless. Thanks, my friend. Hope you will. I agree. Aussie all the way says, what a two point field goal and good call to have Ronnie on DWZ. So again, some love for the coach. Let's hop over here to our friends over here. Pug says, what did you think of Katoa having a game back?
[00:46:53] I thought that said something else. I thought he was okay at the last minute. I thought he was okay. Like I thought he was relatively safe under the high ball. I thought he was relatively strong with his attacks. Uh, attacking the ball. A couple of defensive things I didn't like, but the last play was, yeah, not great. But I, I thought he was okay. Otherwise, Pugs wasn't happy with the pass from Beryl.
[00:47:23] Matt said, if Kenny didn't get the charge down, tricky doesn't get the field goal. Kennedy's the best fullback since peach. Awesome. Hello to cousin Sarah. Who's a happy nights fan. No doubt. Matt and little Bentley. We'll be seeing you down here in, I don't know, a month or so. We'll work that out. Loc says, what a game. Thought it was going to be golden point. Thank God it wasn't. Loc. Uh,
[00:47:53] Jay Bruce says, he uses Hojepa as a bigger body for the starter games, then brings Beryl on for his darts and creativity. That's a pretty good reason. Thank you so much. Uh, Pugs says, Nico just interrupts tricky when he's controlling the game. I don't think that's true anymore, Pugs. Sorry to defer with you, but I don't think that's true, but I, I appreciate you hanging around and letting us know your thoughts, but I just don't think that's true. Hey, not anymore. I think Nico would have really enjoyed that win tonight.
[00:48:23] If he was playing, I mean, Roger said, I watched the game at tell budger a surf club tonight. A lot of sharks fans, but we're outnumbered by the wild fans. Will Kennedy gets three. Truant. Trindle gets two and one for McKinnis. He tackled like a machine. So love McKinnis there. Uh, Tia is saying that, I guess that, who's the defensive hook. It's here.
[00:48:52] Are you saying barrel is or however? I don't know which one they both are, I guess, but thank you. Uh, there's a bit of bickering about who was more experienced. Matt said, how did Felix and McCulloch go in cup? They went really good. Both of them actually in a team. It was a little bit disappointing. Oh, down like 18 nil early blew out a bit. They got back. They weren't never,
[00:49:22] they were never really in it to be fair, but. Uh, both those guys were good. And McCulloch. Yeah, they're both good. Adam says, I'm not sure if we'll caught the ball or swallow it. It has to be the, in the NRL best catches. It has to be the best. Like that's it. Uh, Matthew says, we can analyze that game. We want. Wah, wah, wah. Wah. Whether chicken dinner.
[00:49:53] Winners. Black, white, and blue. That's what we're here to do is analyze the game. Thanks, Matthew. Here we go. J man's going to shave his head, shaving my head to join the movement up, up. Who's with J man? Who's shaving their head? It's a shame. It has to be so short. Like, yeah, you know what I reckon they should do. They should sort of have medium length hair, a little bit gray, medium length beards, a little bit gray or a bit gray. That'd be kind of cool.
[00:50:24] Tim says, the penalty for barrel attacking the kicker was completely unfair. The VRF should have validated that. It was a stretch. I'll give you that, my man. It was a stretch. Thanks for pointing it out. Future dude said this game was anti-Valandis ball. Need more of that, please. And thank you. Yeah. Wesley, stop apologizing. It has been asked and I'm happy to answer it. Cause I know people come in and out of these shows.
[00:50:54] Nikos likely return. I feel like without being wishy-washy, it will be either the roosters or whoever we have post by. Now, I think he's aiming for the roosters, but there's no way they're going to rush that injury with the calf. So I think other guys are more likely before him, but I don't think it's out of the question either. I think it's just a wait and see. He was trending. Okay. And doing lots of things.
[00:51:24] And it was more positive and negative. So these things just take time. But if I had to put a percentage on it without a lot of knowledge on the information, I would say for the roosters, he'd be at like 45%, which I know is again, a bit wishy-washy. Peter says, Kennedy just added another highlight to his miracle ball pickups at speed. Oh man. Love, love, love.
[00:51:56] So Roger says, will I shave my head to join the movement? So I've been in trouble before by saying I'm going to do something. I'm not going to do it. And when I say that, it's usually outlandish things like get a tattoo or what? I can't remember what the last one was. Was it shaved the beard? I can't remember. So I'm not going to jump in on this one just yet, Roger, but you know, should they like, should they all win a grand final and they're all bald? Well, I won't have much choice.
[00:52:26] I won't have much choice. now, yeah, that's my answer. Not, not for the moment, but I'm happy to support it. That's for sure. Adam says that he is on a little bit of the, he's in on a little bit of the gray and the beard. Oh yeah. Thanks Matt for reminding me. Let's go over some of these stats. Okay. Sorry about that. It's been so much to cover. You guys are awesome. There are so many comments. We're peaking here guys and girls.
[00:52:58] Sharks win 10 points to eight, 84% possession to the mighty sharks compared to their 78. Both teams were okay. Sharks had one more line break than. Then the Warriors in the end, they're both low. Both didn't crack 10 offloads each. We had a couple of hundred more run meters, more post contact meters.
[00:53:28] Both teams defensively were good. Both missed around 20 tackles each. This will change once they do the final call, but both teams defensively were really good. The penalties were six all, so we didn't win it. We didn't win it. It was six all. Errors were medium. You know, they had two more than us. Both of us had more than 10 errors each.
[00:53:58] Tackled an opposition half. A little bit of a concern this week, but again, I think there's reasons why. We had over 70. To be fair, they had almost 60. So it's not like they were really dominating in our, you know, in our quarter either. And set restarts, they won three, one. So penalty six all. Set restarts, they won three, one. If I go to individual dudes,
[00:54:31] let's have a look here at the Sharkies, the mighty Sharkies. We'll turn this into an audio pod for you later on as well. I know a bunch of you like to listen later on. And before I get into that, Tim says, in my opinion, Stoney offers more than guitar and attack defense under the high ball. I'm not supportive of dropping stone street. End of the day we won. So it's all good. Regardless. That's all. That's all fair. So the word dropped is going to be used a lot.
[00:55:02] And I, in no means ever will speak for our great coach. Cause that wouldn't be even close to correct. But I feel like he wouldn't say he was dropped. I feel like, I feel like Stoney's done a job. He's done a good job. And it's now time for the winger who started the season to come back and play and show us what he's got. And today he was pretty good up until that last minute. That last minute wasn't good,
[00:55:32] but I, it could have been more of a rest for stone street, a little bit of a, you've done really good. You're a young fella. Let's give you a bit of a break. Didn't play cup. He had a week off. So let's wait and see on that one, Tim, but I don't, I'm not going to use the word dropped. I don't think he was dropped. I know that's going to upset a world of people, but I don't think he was dropped. Our friend Trish says, what a game searching for the deep. Most of the time, fair crowd at sharks, gorilla tonight too. That's awesome.
[00:56:05] Okay. Peter says, if we make the grand final, let's all go to the game with bald heads. What a side that would be. I think I'm going to need a win Pete to shave it all off. I think, you know, I'm someone with hair. That's a, how can I put this? I'm just sort of doing my best here, you know? And, and when that time comes, which could be sooner than later, it's not, you know, it's not trending in the right direction. I,
[00:56:35] yeah, I don't know if I'm, I think I'm going to need a win Pete, but I support that. Adam says, I think Jesse was dominating the game before the head knock and he'll be missed next week. Absolutely. Now, before I get into play it stats, here is, our mate, Dickie Blair. That's what you call a team victory.
[00:57:05] A war out there tonight. Very tough, slippery conditions. I'm finally seeing the pace of the rucks slowing down. Uh, less six against. I thought the refereeing was good. Let them play tough footy, one out footy in these conditions. Fitzy read it perfectly. Not once did we relax and slacken off tonight. So proud of every Sharky's player. Thanks Dickie. Thanks for saying that. And thanks for your support. Uh, during the, I think it was during the week about some stuff online. I really appreciate that. Now.
[00:57:35] All right. So here's some stats from how the players went tonight. Uh, it's a big Will Kennedy game changing moment. One ran for about 150 meters, had a line break, no errors, no, no miss tackles, no, Sione Kitella ran for 150 meters, tackle bust,
[00:58:06] two tackles, no miss, one penalty conceded, two errors, penalty conceded. Let's not forget that one. Ramien, Ramien about 150 meters as well. Got a try, which was real nice. And generally pretty good. KL in his 50th game. Congrats, KL. 150 meters. Getting a bit consistent here. Uh, three tackle bars, 14 tackles, no misses for him.
[00:58:41] Ronaldo about 130 meters, three offloads. Trindle, one game changing, career changing, two point field goal. He also kicked two from two goals, one line break assist, one try assist. Kicked for about 540 meters. Nephi Puru, one line break assist,
[00:59:13] 26 tackles, six kicks for 200 meters. Jessica Lhoone off the field for quite a long time, but almost 80 meters in his short time. He also made 30 tackles in that time as well. Uh, thanks for the half time score, Adam. Nine nil, power over Canberra. We're getting pretty old school here. Does that say nine?
[00:59:43] Hojepa ran for about 70 meters. He had a line break, which I think was from his brother. He made almost 40 tackles with just one miss. Toby Rudolph about 90 meters, 21 tackles. Billy Burns about 60 meters, 40 tackles. He had three errors.
[01:00:12] Teague Wilton almost 100 meters, two offloads, 32 tackles. Ken McInnes, 130 meters. That's pretty important. He made almost 50 tackles and only missed a few. Beryl did a lot in defense. Oren Kifusi was on for a bit. Stats don't look amazing,
[01:00:41] but he shored up that middle. I thought it was okay. Siffer had some good game time due to the injury of Colquhoun, which is unfortunate. Ran for over 100 meters, some tackle bus, and did pretty good generally. I thought Hazleton was good tonight as well. About 90 meters in his time, and Marwini and Big Tuku did not get on the field. So that's how that went, guys and girls.
[01:01:11] William Williams 2.0 says, Trindle with one of his worst games, saved by his best moment of his career. Yeah, I didn't think he was that bad on watching it live, but I could see there was some clunkiness not helped by others, including himself. So, yeah. But, you know, come with the hour. Come with the man.
[01:01:40] What's the line? I can't even think. I'm so excited. Adam says, can't wait for Pollard to push Nico for seven. He was good again today in the losing team. Riley Pollard. Thanks for the halftime scores, guys. 9-0 to Parra. Matt was impressed with McInnes, it looks like.
[01:02:10] And Dickie, he also says, how good was big time? I thought he was good. I thought he was good. Yeah, absolutely. Sharks win 10 points to eight in a classic over there. Classic of sorts. Hear me out. Hear me out. Hey, thanks everyone for being involved and being on the show. I really appreciate it. It's always fun to do this after a win. It's more fun, obviously. Doesn't mean we don't enjoy doing the losses, but the win is good. We're up to fifth place at the moment, which is cool. Won't get too stuck into that ladder right now because we've
[01:02:40] got a lot of movement there and there are people who haven't had buys, et cetera, or anyone buy. But it's good. Just keep winning, man. Keep winning and keep winning like that. Like, that was really impressive. Really impressive. Yeah, so many good things I liked about it. I liked the defensive effort. I liked the team effort. I love the huddles, the group, the bonding. I liked the never say die attitude,
[01:03:10] the Will Kennedy effort. It kind of personified the whole team, to be fair. Like, I know Sienna gave away a bad penalty, but he was trying to do the right thing. I'm not sticking up for him. I'm just saying like, they were all involved. They were all involved, right or wrong. Wes said, I thought Fitzy's rotation was a, one. A, what? A one tonight for the conditions and the trips we had out. That means good, right? Yep. Jason says, great win.
[01:03:40] Sometimes desire gets you over the line, not talent. Whoa. How good's that? How good's that? Shout out to my son who beat Lillipilly today as well. Speaking of derbies in the round ball. Is everyone enjoying the World Cup? What's going on there? Australia plays tomorrow. I'm playing a gig at the same time. Okay. XES says, tricky can do it all. No nicker, no broly, no origin stars, no worries. How good.
[01:04:09] Thank you very much. That's from XES 101. Yeah, I mean, that's how it should be, right? And we talked about during the week that our, our backup guys, it's got a very similar feeling to 2016. Now just hang on, I'm not saying we're title bound, although games like tonight makes you think maybe you are, but these guys come in and they replace the highly paid, highly touted, very talented to be fair players and they do a job.
[01:04:39] And that's exactly the recruitment you want and Darren Mooney and his crew there should be congratulated because it's a really good team they have. When you've got a guy like Beryl, who's just sitting on the sideline for years and occasionally might get a game and his attitude is A plus on and off the field. He's just happy to be there. You know you're recruiting well. You know it. So,
[01:05:13] Jasper says, I didn't know Trindle had a two point field goal in him. Good to know we can win without our big three as well as Nikoro who, that's right, who we haven't, spoken of. Dad and I look forward to catching up on the 17th of July if you're there. Now, what's happening on the 17th of July? Help me out. Jasper, let me know. I should know but I don't. I apologize. Kevin says, what a kick from Tricky.
[01:05:43] Does anyone know when the last time we got a two point field goal was? Ooh. Ooh. Let me see if I can find out. Not off the top of my head. Not off the top of my head. How good of the Cronulla Kek collector to join us? Hey, did you all enjoy the episode I did with Rich during the week? Rich Ossington, who's a great Sharks man.
[01:06:14] Rocky's Jerseys. He and I did a show at Mr. Paisley's in North Caring Bar and it was a little bit impromptu but it was great and we talked all things Cronulla. So you can go listen to that on the audio side of things. I think I put it up on YouTube as well and we did a bunch of episodes this week. I just didn't get time to promote them so it's a good example of being a subscriber. Totally free. Follow us on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts,
[01:06:44] Podbean or any audio podcast literally around the world should have us and you can follow us on YouTube, on Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, etc. If you follow us on all those things you won't miss an episode but essentially the ones you want to be on are YouTube and particularly you want to be on the audio side of things of YouTube Apple or Spotify or any audio podcast because we drop everything and so we did
[01:07:13] a bunch of episodes during the week I didn't get time to really promote them much but yeah. Now look at this XES says we got Braley Island how about Tricky Island? Well I think you can we can have a bay of islands but I don't know what else could Tricky have? Let's have a think about that. I think because Will Kennedy has something as well I'm losing track
[01:07:43] of what everyone who's got things. We could though the answer is we could if you want to have Tricky Island we could have Tricky Island. Matt says thank you as always if we continue to play defensive like that we could get the next grand final wing. I need to head off up Thanks Mattie thanks for calling in before what a great surprise. Two real OGs calling in early in the show. I see B and Mattie C much appreciated. much appreciated.
[01:08:14] Jay said don't understand why we were dropping the ball underneath every time we attacked. The line didn't go wide once. Yeah I mean the dropping the ball inside is a pretty safe option I guess in those conditions. Maybe they're just trying to power their way through. I hear you though but I'm glad they didn't play too wide because I don't think it would have ended up well tonight. I don't think it would have ended up well. I think he would have had more turnover ball. I think that's the reason why from my point of view.
[01:08:45] Okay Susan's on Brit Island so everyone's getting an island. She thinks she's the only one on Brit Island though. Look from time to time historically Susan the island of Brit has been I would say reasonably full. I think after his last game was it against the Dragons? Yeah like people were trying to get back on the island. Wesley said there's some pretty funny
[01:09:15] post-match pieces with rubbing Tricky's bald head. Peter said did we win the penalty count? No it's a it was a draw. The penalty count was a draw almost like the game. It was six all penalties so that's what happened there. Sharks win 10 points to 8. What a great infamous win. Congrats to everyone who was there however you went there whether you
[01:09:44] travelled or you lived there. We've got a lot of people watching in New Zealand I know that. Great stuff. Great stuff. Sharks win Shookies next week Sunday week I think that's correct. It's a late game like 6 o'clock 6.15 game. It's at Allianz. Don't too many people go. If 10,000 of us go they're going to move them to Allianz. I'm half joking. I think you should go to the game if you can.
[01:10:15] I just don't want to push it. I'm kidding. Everyone go to Allianz. Support the team. It's going to be a lot of fun. It's a winnable game. Chooks are really up and down depending on who's playing for them. Even some of those kids coming through the other night were pretty good. We don't always go easy against the Chooks but let's go get it man. We're on a bit of a roll here so let's go get it. Super happy for all of our fans.
[01:10:45] XCS 101 says the ball is all played great tonight. Willie K Tricky and Tom. Absolutely. Absolutely. Thank you so much for being in touch. Absolutely. They all did. It was a great win. A famous win. And we like playing over there. That's 7 of 9 in New Zealand of late so to speak. The last 9 times we've won 7. That's awesome. Up up Grinola. Have I got a 3-2-1 for you?
[01:11:15] Let's have a look. It's hard isn't it because the last minute you got your 3-2-1 has already decided. That was a great group effort. I felt they all contributed in their own way. Puddy Arrow is pretty good in his 50th game actually. And even a game where Mula Talo isn't exactly heavily involved. He was on DWZ and it did contain him and everyone
[01:11:44] played a part which is awesome. XES says Chooks Who we got that and going to the 4. That'd be cool. Let's not underestimate them but I appreciate the confidence very much. Sharks win. Sharks win. Sharks win. Alright we're going to get out of here pretty soon so thanks everyone for being in touch. Thanks for sticking around. We'll turn this into audio podcast pretty quickly. Get that out for you. And we'll have more episodes
[01:12:14] throughout the week. It's a bit of a longer week so we'll see what we can do for you all. But yeah if you can subscribe completely for free that'd be awesome. YouTube, Spotify, Apple, whatever audio podcast platform you listen to please do that. And if you're into social media if you're not I don't blame you but if you are we're on most of them at SharkCastPod and give us a follow there. The other good thing you can do is share our content around so
[01:12:44] when you see this or if you're watching this now whatever share it around on your socials tag your friends in it. And the other thing you can do if you're not really into that sort of thing or if you don't want to do it on your own pages just word of mouth to your family, friends, neighbours, schoolmates, uni mates, workmates, people you see on the street in shark's gear, person in front of you at the cafe or the shops wearing shark's gear, hey you listen to shark cast, check them out, that would be really
[01:13:14] helpful. And the only reason I say this every week is it's the only way we're going to grow and I can confirm this show is growing all the time, it is growing all the time and I'm incredibly grateful for that, incredibly flattered by that and a lot of hard work goes into it by me and other people behind the scenes but it's you guys and girls driving the show so I can't thank you enough for that but yeah keep spreading around because we've got a lot of people who don't listen just because they don't know
[01:13:44] we're around because it's a one man operation and it's hard to promote with one man but one person I should say but that's the best thing you can do is just share it around that'd be awesome Jason says wonder if that win changes Fitz he's thinking about leaving both Nico and Blake Braley out of the team I know we want to win every week but I would have taken yeah that's a good point so what you're saying is tonight's win the bye after that yeah
[01:14:13] that's interesting Jason thanks for raising that I don't think it will change his mind I think if they're ready they're ready I don't feel like he would have rushed them in the Blake Bradley one seems quite extraordinary but I think that's just who Blake is and that's how quick he can heal apparently I mean the fella from Melbourne did it pretty quick last year or the before so with Nico they're definitely not going to rush him the calf is too tricky to
[01:14:43] rush back but it's a good question thank you so much Wes says payback next week versus the roosters given we had that game what
[01:15:13] people may say or think the players care about their results and they remember that game very well Tim says thanks so much I love your podcast well I
[01:15:46] now flag won which was cool the Harvey Norman women's team lost in a close one to South Sydney they played I think it was their regular first game today but I don't think it was a trial if I'm wrong I apologize and Cup lost the Jets lost unfortunately they came back okay but they blew out pretty quick early on the game was lost pretty early but the
[01:16:16] Sharkies NRL team win 10 points to wait they're up to fifth place in the ladder it's really exciting gives us a lot of hope and I time
[01:16:46] although Pete's gonna say living in Queensland Victoria before that if I see anyone wearing Sharkies gear I always give them a shout out hope everyone else does that on in history of the world
[01:17:17] I think this is the right one here we go up up Cronulla Shark win 10 points to 8 we rule holy cow Trindle and
[01:18:00] good football for the sharks are
