[00:00:55] Hey there, welcome to a Somba SharkCast pod post-game show at Ocean Protect Stadium, brought to you by Dyson Logistics, Royal Motor Yacht Club and Port Hacking. Jason Hawes at Crips & Crips Real Estate and Mr. Paisley's coffee. Mr. Paisley himself was in the house and he's a Raiders man. Congratulations to John. Sharks lose unthinkably.
[00:01:20] 24-20 emotional, slightly controversial, potentially game, but horrendous stuff as an overall result and ramifications that are not good. We are here to talk about it for a while, so please feel free to comment, dial in on the link if you want. No swearies. Anything else is okay. Keep it above board, but obviously you can say whatever you want.
[00:01:51] Sharks lose 24-20. I need to know something. Did Ronaldo get that ball down or not? Everyone watching at home, let me know because here at the ground, hard to tell obviously. And let's go live on the Instagram as well while I remember. Hey Instagram, you only missed about a minute before I just remembered. Hello Instagram. Hello, hello, hello, hello, hello. We'll let them catch up.
[00:02:19] Marky Mark says, gonna say something controversial. That loss wasn't as bad as what some of us will say it was, all things considered. Well Marky Mark throughout the stream, let us know your thoughts because I'd like to know about that. We're here for all the opinions, so thank you for that. Wes says, say goodbye to top four. Enough ball in the last 10 minutes to win 10 games. We're simply not good enough. Oh, Wesley, straight through my heart, my friend.
[00:02:48] Hey to everyone on the Instagram, you only missed about a minute and a half before I remembered to hit ad live. And it was me just going, I'm really sad. So let us know what you think and we'll get to all of your comments. If you want to call in, please do, but make sure there's no swearies, please. Sharks lose 24-20. Unthinkable. Francis says no positives. Trindle has done his something and we were Googling it and doing all sorts of stuff in the stand.
[00:03:16] And if it's what they say it is, it'll be three to four weeks at best. So life without Trindle, maybe. Future dude says, despite questionable calls and some fight in the second half, we left it too late out of the top four. We need to stop this hemorrhage before we end up sliding down the ladder. Yeah, it's feeling like that. I mean, Titans next week is not going to be easy, is it? Especially with down a half.
[00:03:45] So we're here to chat about it though. So please, please do. Sandra says, here we go again. Let us down again. Thank you, Sandra. Straight over the Insta. Jesse said, we got robbed. I'm not getting started. Greg says, pathetic performance. Weak. Rockies Jersey said, Nicko was laughing at the end of the game. Laughing. Our top four chances are done and he was laughing.
[00:04:15] I can't defend him anymore. But he certainly had a lot of responsibility once Trindle went off and yeah, didn't go so well. Drew said, dumb decision to challenge a knock on by Ronaldo. N8 Diz says, I know that razzed on the rest but today I felt like we got dumped on. Oh, look, as long as it's above board, you can say whatever you want.
[00:04:43] I need to know, did Ronaldo get that ball down or not? Someone tell me because it was very exciting until it wasn't. Do we take the two before halftime? It probably doesn't matter at the end, right? That play on halftime, the greatest play that never was, kind of sums up what happened. They were close enough but not good enough. Yeah. Oh, Wes is saying no try. Okay. I appreciate that. Thank you very much.
[00:05:11] Daniel says, the chances we have, we should have scored two weeks. We should have won and now drop out of the four without Trindle. Yep. Daniel, it's very accurate, very bleak, very sad times here in the stadium. I should protect stadium. More than enough ball to win. More than enough chances. And that's two weeks in a row they've really not been good enough. Second half here, there was a, it seemed like things were getting better.
[00:05:42] But yeah, I don't know. I do not know. Tim says, not one to blame the refs, but it was awfully ref game. We won the penalty count, but multiple bad decisions against us. I'll say this. All the calls that the ref were getting were late from up in the stand in actually in this, without breaking kayfabe, in this very box, there were a bunch of refs and they were obviously giving him late calls. And I don't know, man. Crowey says, he got the ball down.
[00:06:11] Well, hang on. Someone said that they didn't. Danny says, mentally weak performance. They look so clunky. McInnes and Herper can't play in the halves ever again. What are we going to do there, Danny? Are you rushing in Riley Pollard? Are you bringing in Nephi? That would be the next thing would be Nephi probably. But I'm with you because we've got to start winning games now. We can't just sort of hang on and rest on what we've done because we're now in fifth.
[00:06:41] Dolphins are ahead of us. What do we do? My God, I'm so sad. Daniel says, instead of controlling our destiny, we hope other teams drop games and we win. Yeah, that's where we're at. Danny says, I can't understand why they don't have a utility in 18 or 19. Yeah, that was not good. DeletedGirl67 says, what an embarrassing team.
[00:07:10] Anyone that dares say Sharks will be top four now, wake up. The season is over. Oh boy. It's not looking good. DeletedGirl67, we trend all out. I'll tell you that. No sugar coating here. Craig says, blame Sutton all we like. Yes, Ronnie scored. No, Nico didn't drop it. 49 missed tackles says it all. What have I got here?
[00:07:39] I've got 34 missed tackles, my bro, but we'll get to all that. So Ronnie scored. Hmm. Blues4 says, our defense was pathetic. Puru's missed tackle on Topini, their hooker running 10 meters and scoring. And everybody's favorite, Haradi missed three tackles. Play the same side next week, Fitzy. Yeah, that try, Blues4 was terrible down the middle. Like there was five guys on him.
[00:08:09] It started with Hohefa and a whole bunch of other guys. Will missed it as well. As for Haradi, I mean, look, I thought that right side in particular, Britain and Haradi were, when it came to attacking, particularly closed down. They didn't look outside to Katoa, they just kept coming inside. They weren't catching and passing.
[00:08:34] And I thought that both those guys in attack in the second half could have done a lot more to help us get across the line. It didn't happen. Do you put in Michael Gabriel there and hope he's ready to rock? I mean, depends how you want to look at this whole scheme of things.
[00:08:58] But yeah, I thought that side in attack, which isn't our stronger side anyway, but there was plenty of chances there. Didn't really keep it out there. Shake is particularly critical of Britain there. Ash is bringing on 2027. Oh no. All right. We'll get back to our mates over on the Insta. Hello everyone. Appreciate you all.
[00:09:28] What do we got here? What do we got here? Jay says the defeat is on the coach. A mistake not to carry a half on the bench. Did it a few times this season, but went back to carrying five forwards on a six man bench. Madness to go in with the six. Fair enough.
[00:09:55] We ran for over 500 more meters and 200 more post contact meters. Uh, shooting bricks says, what are the odds of tricky coming back? Well, we need to find out what the prognosis is, but if it's everything they're saying it is, then it'll be potentially three to four weeks. Like finals time. So we're in a bit of a pickle here, guys and girls.
[00:10:25] Sandra says, my husband is peeved off big time. Well, we all are. Welcome to the club, Sandra. Uh, just clearly not good enough. Everything to play for and injuries, no injuries. Referees, no referees go out there and win the game. And we haven't done it two weeks in a row. And we go to the Gold Coast next week. I'm pretty sure. And they're not going to die wondering. They're going to be throwing the ball around Hail Mary style. And we're down a half.
[00:10:51] So all of a sudden, Trav says, I think today's lesson is, uh, what is this? I think it's a lesson learned today, especially as part of the season. We have to have coverage for our hubs. Yeah. Fair enough. Uh, Dean, I can't put that up, but it's, I appreciate you writing in, but it's a sweary.
[00:11:19] Uh, deleted girl says, Nico had his chance to stand up once tricky went off and failed. Time to think our halves. And it was a try. I just saw the still pick with the ball on the line. So if it was a try, why didn't we get it? I don't understand that because we probably go on to win the game. Now that's a moment. I'm not neglecting the bad moments here. There were a lot of bad moments on Nico Hines.
[00:11:49] And so I thought that's, you know, there was the time where he got caught on the fifth. And so Kennedy had to kick the ball. It ended up being a try just through the miracle of their guy not being able to hold the ball. But there were numerous times there where he was sort of overplaying it and running when he probably just needed to catch and pass. And I mean, the efforts there, there's no doubting that they tried, but, uh, the execution was way off and up eight nil as well.
[00:12:17] There's lots, a lot of things here to sort of get our teeth into. Troy says, guess the main thing was not a reliable back half, a backup half in the 19. Uh, shake says, if people are blaming the refs, you need your eyes checked. We had around 40 tackles in there. 20. I can tell you what it was. Shake. It was. Oh, geez.
[00:12:47] Yeah. According to Fox sports.com. I year it was 42 to 10. Uh, we blew it. Uh, a loser attitude from some of these fans. Shake is not happy with anyone. Uh, Danny says, Rinaldo got the ball down. There was enough evidence to say it, but because Sutton said no try, they didn't overturn it. Oh my God.
[00:13:11] Because even if you, if we win the game, we can still talk about the negativity, but we win the game with two points ahead. We're coming forth. That's a big moment. Uh, Troy says, I think that I think Rinaldo was a try. Well, I'm up in the Andrew reading house and stand. I have no vision. My vision is gone. Generally speaking day to day, not like, cause I'm whatever today, but I thought I saw
[00:13:40] it on the line, but I want to know what happened. I'm not that blinded by shark them. Let's think, but if they're just saying they couldn't ever turn it, well, that seems a bit, a bit sus. Troy says a good team wins today, even if having a bad day out. Good point. Look at the roosters. And he said concerning. We couldn't adjust to no Trindle. Absolutely. Absolutely. Thank you. Trav. Our mates over on the Insta.
[00:14:11] Okay. Isaac says, I feel like we tried to play catch up pretty most of the game. We tried too hard to score on every possession and started to go backwards. Yeah, it's a good point. And it was highlighted in that last moment in the first half, which I get. It's a free play, but holy cow. Uh, I cloth says that one definitely stung. It sure did.
[00:14:40] Uh, shooting brick says bring AFB back next week. I've been that'll bring a spark, which it will. Jay. Jay's getting retro and said, I hate losing to Ricky. After how he left that club a mess. Uh, Nefa Piru had a great game in New South Wales cup. 18 points scored individually. Uh, El Cloth. I hope I'm pronouncing your name right. Said.
[00:15:09] Once Trindle went off, we just lost all structure. We live and we learn onto next week. So that's kind of cool. Danny says stinging from last week and stinging now, mate, we're stinging like a bee. It's crazy. Not good. Marty says it's pretty clear who steers this team around every week. Interesting. And, and not, not, uh, not, not factual. Well, BD Hurrell says needed some better Nico moments.
[00:15:37] We still had three of the spine to create. That's a great point. Jacqueline says it. What? Uh, ah, Jacqueline says it wasn't a try. He was short. Take the shark glasses off. So I'm getting all sorts of different answers here. Now I do know Jacqueline is a very sensible human being and I'm sure all of you are too, but that's my, that's the latest report is that he didn't get it.
[00:16:05] So, and my, my, my head tells me that if he scored the try, they would have allowed it. Right. Surely that's common sense. Uh, my nephew has joined. He was just sitting with me at the game. That was kind of fun. All right. Lucia Melbourne says that's about as good as it gets for us now. No Trindle, no genuine replacements. It sounded like the, uh, the crowd was booing a team off for the park. Heartbreaking. Uh, they were booing the ref. I can tell you that.
[00:16:38] I don't know they were booing the team. I can't really confirm that. Uh, Martin said Nikara blew a certain try. It looked like over that edge, even the last play, if, if I think if Haradi catches and passes to Katoa, we might be on. So that right edge is a bit of a attacking problem at the moment.
[00:17:03] JJM M2I says the team competed with too many disruptions with no FB, Ramien and Tricky. Luke Keery had a lot of praise to what Niko was trying to do. It'll be interesting to see who lines up next week. And there's no doubt in my mind, JJM that Niko was trying his butt off. There's no doubt in my mind, but I mean, as someone else just said, I mean, there's two more guys in the spine and I thought Kennedy in attack was pretty good.
[00:17:33] A few defensive moments. Um, Blake was trying, but yeah, just looked like no one was really taking the lead as such. Taylor said, Kifusi and AFB should start next week. Thank you very much. Okay. Tim said, why didn't Braley play half and Puru nine? That would have made more sense to me.
[00:18:03] I think at times Braley was defending at half. Don't think he was playing there in attack, but at times, Joe Hepper was in the middle and Blake drifted out. James said, why do we keep giving McInnes the ball constantly inside the red zone? It stifled the attack last play game on the line. He takes a gallon for tackle settler.
[00:18:32] Don't tell Gal we said that. Yeah. I noticed that James. Uh, and I think he just got stuck with it. He's in the middle. That's what happens. Uh, I don't think it's a plan move. Cam Oliver says, gut feel is this the season that could have been crucial injuries now really hurt us? Yeah. Look, it's starting to get a bit, a bit messy down here. I'll tell you, they're not going to give in. They're not going to, they're going to the finals. We know that, but we really, really want to finish top four.
[00:19:00] And now it's going to be a little difficult. We are currently in fifth place. Souths are behind us on two points. They've already played and we're ahead of them by about 84 and against differentials. Newcastle, I don't believe have played. They're on 30 points and we're about a hundred differential against them. So we should stay in fifth this weekend. That's the good news.
[00:19:30] And we'll work out the rest during the week, but, um, certainly disappointing. Sharks lose 24, 20, and no one's happy at all. Uh, Loosh says Pollard won't be picked. No chance. We won't blood any young guns. That's not what we do. We keep picking the same players. Even if we're on the way out of the club. Now I mentioned Raleigh Pollard, Loosh.
[00:19:56] I'm not saying he's necessarily ready to step into the first grade spot next week. Like I think that, you know, Nephi has been there. He's done a good job for us. Um, I think that ultimately Pollard is probably going to be the better player, but I'm not suggesting you throw him in. I just mentioned him as a very, very small chance of doing so, you know? Um, but we do have a special guest time, which is very exciting.
[00:20:26] And I believe this is the first time he's ever called in. Now here he is, the greatest real estate agent in the world. Although he doesn't know I was small talking with his, uh, competitor, uh, Justin Ressler as well today. I've been schmoozing with the real estate agents, but here is Jason Hawes. How are you, sir? I'm good, mate. How are you? I'm just top of the world, man. How are you? Yeah. Just loving life. Okay. Well, I'm walking home.
[00:20:56] How bad was that? My goodness. Yeah. It wasn't good, Jason. Tell us what you saw. What, what was the problem? What's going on? Um, Trindle going off was unfortunately the end, mate. It was, um, noticeable. Once he went off, we lost all direction. Um, it was, it was horrible. Yeah. Well, horrible was not a, not, it wasn't horrible, but it was not the greatest. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:21:24] Nico certainly was trying his butt off, but as I said earlier, he got caught in the fifth tackle. He was running the ball a bit too much for the one man half job and, uh, it all kind of went downhill there. Yeah. I mean, chances to win in the second half. We had overall Jason 40 tackles in the opposition 20 and we couldn't get the job done. Um, yeah, it was noticeable. Like, uh, you know, we, we couldn't really get it done.
[00:21:53] We, we got down there and there was just unfortunately no direction really. Um, you know, um, Bradley ran the ball a little bit more this week. I thought that was noticeable, but, um, yeah, I'm trying not to get run over here. Oh, hang on. Sorry, buddy. Live on air. Um, yeah, it was, um, definitely noticeable from my vantage point. When I was down in the Monty Porter stand, um, uh, at the request of a new styling company
[00:22:22] called styled by her. So if you have any styling on real estate, here we go. Justin Ressler. I heard your name before. You know where to go. Yeah. I actually went down to your seats and I saw, uh, Joe and John from Mr. Paisley's. One of them was very happy. The other one, not so much. The legends of Mr. Paisley's legends. So Jason, is this the end of the road or what, what are you thinking? Uh, for top four, unfortunately. Yes.
[00:22:49] Um, you know, I, I feel, you know, we're probably just going to lick our wounds for a bit, a little bit, probably everyone get right and make a big charge, um, from the last round into wherever we just, you know, unfortunately get told to go and play, which is the problem. Yeah. I mean, I guess if we remain in fifth or sixth, we could have the, the battle of the world of where are we going to play? Maybe we play at ocean protect stadium. You know, I love that battle. Yeah.
[00:23:17] Well, look, do you, do you think we're not any chance to beat the Titans and Eels in the coming weeks or what are you thinking? Um, they're going to be tough games. Like, you know, any game we play against the Eels is always tough no matter where and when, um, the Titans, you know what, is it Kinney? Mate, he could turn it on and, you know, it'd be tough.
[00:23:43] But, um, you know, I think we need to sort of get back to basics as to what we've done over the last sort of last, not last two weeks, but the last probably 10 weeks prior to that and, um, you know, get back to what we, what worked for us. Cause we've unfortunately due to injuries, suspensions and everything else we've, um, we've unfortunately had to adapt and it hasn't been good enough. Yeah. It's a, it's a pretty sour taste right now, Jase.
[00:24:13] It's, um, it's hard to look at the positives. It's hard to think about the road ahead, but I mean, if they win the next three games, I'm not saying that they can't, but if they do, uh, I mean, we still will be hanging around fourth or fifth. The dolphins aren't guaranteed that fourth spot. So yeah. Although Newcastle is also chomping at the bit too. Souths are hanging around. It'll make it interesting at the very least. Yeah. It's a very interesting couple of weeks and yeah, you're right about a sour taste.
[00:24:41] I'm currently on the walk home to, um, the lovely North Taring Bar. Mm. I've had a couple just quietly. I can tell. That's why I'm here. You're doing well. Oh, anyway. But, uh, yeah, the people aren't happy, huh? Yeah. Look, I haven't seen any of the, um, any of the reaction just yet, but I can't, I can imagine it won't be good. Yeah. Uh, all right. Do you want to, um, give a plug for your business or do you want me to do it?
[00:25:11] Oh, look, I'm always, you know, I'm always a little bit funny about that sort of stuff and it's only new for me. So, um, yeah, cripsandcrips.com.au. Um, try to keep everyone, um, up to date with what's going on in the local real estate market. But look, as I said, it's only new. And, um, you know, I, if you're looking to buy or sell in the area, come to see Jason Hall. Just kidding.
[00:25:40] Now, when you, when you say it's only new, you're selling yourself about 22 years of, uh, experience. You're talking about your new position at Crips and Crips as the head honcho. Correct. This is not your first week as a real estate agent. If you want to get something sorted with Jason or you want advice, get in touch with him. If you can't find him, listen to the ads. If you can't listen to the ads, get in touch with me. We'll get you sorted. Yeah. You know, the funny thing is that if you look at all my marketing and all my signboards
[00:26:09] around the place, there's a photo that's literally about 15 years old, you know, nice, cleanly shaven. None of these sort of distinguished look that I've got going right about now. Much, much like yourself, Sam, it's a very distinguished look you've got there. Yeah. Well, how about you get some new, some new shots done, huh? Well, as a matter of fact, I had a marketing company reach out to me the other day saying, Hey, let's do a collaboration, which is happening.
[00:26:33] Um, but you know, I just, I, I really try to, you know, model myself on you, Sam, which is very much like a Canadian hillbilly. All right. On that note, we're going to let you go, Jase, but I appreciate you calling in. Don't let it be the last time and I'll talk to you soon, my man. Take care on that way home. That was Jason Hawes. The first one with the last. See you guys. See you, Jase. Bye, mate.
[00:26:57] The great Jason Hawes as the ABC goes nuts next to me, Louie and all those people. All right. Back to this terrible disaster. That was the Sharks game. Hello to everyone. Who's joined. Really appreciate it. Stick around. We're going to talk lots of sharks. Uh, shake says season over top four. No pre, uh, no premiership. That sucks. Uh, NRL, Miseryside red said, obviously tough. Losing a key player throws things off. Think Fitz, he needs to be bold with selections.
[00:27:28] Needs smart spark off the bench. Now. Otherwise things are one too dimensional too much on Nico. Maybe icing on the bench. I don't know if you're going to see icing on the bench, but no, I don't hate it. I don't think you'll see that. Thank you. Uh, Peter says we should have won the last two games, even without tricky clunky and ordinary. They look tired. I think that's really a fair statement. Thank you, Peter. They look tired and they really should have won.
[00:27:55] Uh, Williams 2.0 says the only position we can't cover on the bench is halves. Ronnie's try was a try. Braley to seven and Nico to six cam to nine. Braley plays hooker in our half. End of the day. We'll be fine. I don't mind that Williams 2.0. I don't mind that at all. Liam says season over. We're still not good enough. A real conversation has to be had around our leadership. Who's grabbing the bull by the horns and saying, follow me. Yeah. I think that's fair to Liam.
[00:28:24] I think that's we saw a couple of guys try and do it today and it just didn't work. I do think that some individuals could have done different decisions that would have maybe changed the game. But yeah. And we've got another person calling in, which is awesome. We'll get to Anthony if he's ready to rock. He's got his mic ready and he's got his, there he is. Hey, Anthony, how are you?
[00:28:53] Oh, bad question. Sorry. I'm just happy to see a new face. How are you? Nice to meet you. Yeah. Look, first time caller long time. Also a long time listener, but which is different, different, different circumstances. Yes. Just a bit deflating.
[00:29:14] Like after last week's loss, like this is the game that we need to come back, that we needed to say, you know, last week, which is a, which is a slip up. Let's just come back, get back on track. But it's just, it's just gone horribly wrong. And I think now it just like, I think this is a thing for us. Like we get something good coming on and the intention to go forward.
[00:29:41] And then we just make it, make it, make it best for ourselves. We just make it things difficult. So it's just, it's just, it's just, it's just disappointing. Like, yeah. Are you referring to the fact that we were kind of in fourth looking like we were going to maybe march the top two? Is that what you're referring to? Like good things coming our way. And then they, we just, is that what you mean? Well, last week, well, last week, yes.
[00:30:06] But this week, like even just saying top four, like potentially being the top finding chance of getting to the third place spot. But like, uh, depending on how, obviously how it was going, but like next couple of weeks, but now we're just back to like where we were last season or it looks that way, potentially worse because now Trindle's out who are the way out of the heartstrings. And then we're just, I think that's been the best, best half. Um, thanks to switch to Niko.
[00:30:34] Um, it's just, it had just, I just, I just, yeah, it's just, it's just, it's just going bad. It is. It is my friend. And I think now, I think now like this, this, the squad that we have, like if it was a chance to potentially make it to pass the prelims, go to the grand final, perhaps even win the premiership. I think they like, this is probably the last, the last year we have this squad to be able to do that.
[00:31:04] Yeah. Which is close. I think they, we just play all the clothes by now. So like, like, we never know. Like they're not going to, I don't think they're going to back down for a fight, but it's just, it's just, it's just, I think it's all God's hands down. It's all our hands down. Oh, sorry. Yeah. It's one of those things that's happened and I'm not blaming the coach, but it's under, under Fitzgibbon's watch.
[00:31:26] It's one of those things where we're in really good positions and then whatever happens, uh, we end up making it really hard for ourselves. So, I mean, you go back to 22, the game here, we should have won that game. It goes to extra time. Valentine home kicks a field goal. And then it's really hard. Uh, the final series that kept going every year after that, we make it really hard for ourselves. We go to Melbourne, we have to play Penrith. It gets really difficult. Whereas if you win those extra games, the power is yours.
[00:31:54] And we thought that's what was happening this year, Anthony, but last two games, big slip up. I'm not, I'm not without confidence that we can win two or three of the remaining three games, but it's obviously going to be a real challenge without Trindle. And with the fact that the confidence is down, obviously the media is going to be all over us. The whole thing is just going to snowball and it's going to be a big challenge for, I think for the staff and for the players to really show us what they got.
[00:32:25] Yeah. I just think that after last week and now this week, like if we just had it, we just handed them every, every single pundit, every single podcast, we just handed them this narrative that we're now pretenders. And this is, I think it's just, I think it's just, I think it's just, I sold to runes. And it's just, it, like I'm convinced now that I think we're always going to pretenders unless we actually win the bloody thing.
[00:32:54] We win the premiership. Like, like, well, let me ask you, let me ask you this, Anthony, let me ask you this. Are you saying from the media point of view or from your point of view? Just the media point of view. Like, like, I'm not going to say that we're pretenders. Like, I'm going to say like, you know, we're in it. Like, I think we can contend for it unless we can defend for it or at least give a fight. We can fight for it.
[00:33:22] But I just think the press is just like, they're just against us. I think the press, the punditry, they're all against us to a certain extent. Yeah. And I don't know maybe a genuine, but partly maybe just be, just be biased. So. Yeah. Yeah. So I think the only way we can quiet them up is to actually win a premiership. I agree. I agree. I think that is what it's going to take. I thought last year after winning two finals and then going down a Melbourne,
[00:33:52] I thought that would be enough to kind of get them off our back. It's not. So we don't, we can't worry too much about that though, Anthony. We've got bigger things to worry about on the field. Hey, let me ask you, are you in the car park? What's going on? I mean, I think it's starting to get calm now, like trying to get out, but like, yeah, cause I'm on the top level. So it just makes it difficult to come out of the car park to. Yeah. Fair enough.
[00:34:18] Cause obviously there's that 15 half an hour rush to get out of the place. So yeah. Yeah. Whereabouts were you sitting today at the ground? I was sitting on concourse. So, so just behind in that little corner near, so towards the, I think towards the, what was the, I think it was the, like the bay side of the, of the, towards the family hill, but just behind the, I think the VIP bar area where it is. Okay.
[00:34:47] Okay, cool. All right. Well, um, Hey, thanks for calling in. Don't be a stranger. Make sure you call back sometime. Cause it's really great to chat with you and make sure you get out of there safe and sound. Keep listening. Really appreciate it. And, um, let's keep fighting, man. Gotta keep fighting. Yeah. But not over to us over until the fact that he sings pretty much. I love it, Anthony. Thanks so much, man. I'll talk to you soon. Yeah. That's Anthony. He's out of here. What a great man. I love it when people call in on the way home. I love people calling in from around the world.
[00:35:17] I love it all. I don't like losing sharks lose 24 points to 20. Uh, Martin long says McInnes won't pass the ball. Uh, deleted girl. 67 says need to bring in Raleigh Pollard. No question. Just do it. Loose shares on the TV. It looked clearly like the ball touched the line and only such a graze of or a blade of white grass.
[00:35:45] As he says, I don't know how they can say it didn't. Okay. Now, Troy is also opening the can of worms. We might get a game at shark park. If we end up fifth, hate relying other teams to lose. EG dolphins lose to the roosters. Uh, we could slide further than fifth. I mean, fifth or six to get you one at home. If I was to look at the ladder right now and really want to cause some trouble. I mean, the Cowboys are in eight. So fifth plays eight Cowboys at Cronulla. It's got a ring to it.
[00:36:15] Um, potentially Newcastle. So we'll see about that stuff. Nick says comment from the ground. Thank you. The refs let the Raiders get away with a lot. The no try. Not sure, but strange attack the ball with his head. Clear penalty. I'll have to check that out. Thank you, Nick. Uh, loose says our centers didn't pass the outside wingers. Where says the difference between us and say South is they get the job done when
[00:36:45] the chips are down. Um, the pundits will be eating this up as usual. Yeah. Anthony kind of, uh, mentioned that before when he called in. Um, over on the. In star. Hello to all you lovely people. Mr. Will five says, yo, did Trindle pop his shoulder out? Uh, yeah, but it went back in is what I'm told. So, uh, they're hoping.
[00:37:15] So people will be doing the AI and the NRL physio and the whole thing. And it's looking like three to four weeks at best, but we need, I need a doctor to look at it. I don't need an AI to look at it, but yes, I believe it popped, but went back in. David says, what's going to happen when the NRL says on Monday the bunker got it wrong? And it was a try. Ooh, I don't like those ones. That means we all get very upset. Roger says not panic stations yet.
[00:37:44] We had plenty of opportunities to win. First half defense was poor. The one I would change is making Trindle the primary organizer and Heinz becomes the running half. Yes, Roger. I appreciate that. What are we gonna do for the next three weeks though? Four weeks. Um, I did notice that Niko was trying to do everything when Trindle went off and that had me questioning things because why are you trying to do everything? And it's not even a criticism. It's more like a make me understand this.
[00:38:15] Pezza says we're lacking speed. I've been a fan of Katoa, but we need to bring stone street in for some flair. Well, he'll get his chance soon enough. Danny said the ref said no try. They weren't changing a 50-50. Clearly it touches a white blade of grass. Roger says trying to rather than trying to organize Nikko to orchestrate everything, I'd have Trindle control on the kicking. Yeah. Thank you for that, Roger. Really appreciate it.
[00:38:44] Wes says the disallowed try went up as a no try. It was not definitive enough to overturn with camera angles, dot, dot, dot. Buckwit, who's going to the Gold Coast next week, or maybe he lives there. I'm not sure, but Buckwit will be in the house next week. Said 2016 vibes are over with a crying emoji.
[00:39:10] Jesse said on TV, Kiri asked, and Tricky said two to four weeks. Shaq says Fitz can't coach when a plan doesn't work, when plan A doesn't work. Doesn't know how to use the bench. And in Shaq's words only, embarrassing or getting embarrassing supporting this bloke. Okay.
[00:39:38] Luke says everything to play for, and we still can't do it. What extra motivation do we need? Seriously? Yeah, I don't know. That's a great question. I wonder about that last two weeks. You're at home, decent crowd. We're cheering you on and can't get it done, unfortunately. Sharky Hunter says when it comes down to it since 2022, we have history with our psychology during games. This isn't new. It's sad, but true.
[00:40:09] Yeah, but we've also won some amazing games since 2022, Sharky Hunter. We've won in Melbourne with no players. We've won in Canberra semifinals. We've won here against the Roosters in semifinals. You know, we've, it's like it's been a disaster since then. Marky Marks says we seemed clunky because Nick had been playing second receiver most of the year. He moved to first and the play broke down once it got to Kennedy or McInnes.
[00:40:38] They should have swapped it around. Lush says Blake didn't run much today and when he doesn't, we struggle. I thought he ran a little bit. Let's have a look at him. Just for you, my man, Lush. Yeah, four runs for 40 minutes. Okay, that's not that much for him. I think his average would, like where you want him to be would probably be six to seven without the punt. But yeah.
[00:41:05] Shake says there's no way they're overturning that Ronnie try. Take your sharks goggles off. Seriously, people. So that's the second person that tells us to take the sharky goggles off. So I appreciate that. Crowey 21 said he thought he heard them say two to three. Three weeks for Trindle, which isn't too bad of a dislocation. Trindle wanted to go back on. The doctors overruled that. Yeah, I saw that from my seat.
[00:41:37] Scott says I thought we were the better team, but the execution wasn't there. They pulled our defense apart too easily when they had their opportunities. Yeah, I don't know if we were the better team. I thought it was, like they weren't amazing. And I thought there were some really good moments where we tried really hard. Like we defended well from kick chases. And there was a lot of good stuff that I saw in moments. But then when you got three or four guys trying to stop to be any scores, that's not good.
[00:42:05] And just, yeah. Up eight nil at home. Come on, guys. What's going on? Sydney Council says luckily Ashley Kime wasn't the ref for the past two weeks. They couldn't blame him for the losses. Wes says this will be another season of missed opportunities, I'm sad to say. No excuses for dropping these games. Another fifth or sixth place is a fail. Yeah, I don't disagree with that, Wes.
[00:42:36] And I hate missed opportunities. And I talk about it a lot on our show, usually during the week. If you don't tune into our shows during the week, please do subscribe, like, et cetera. But yeah, not good. And thanks so much for already getting people emailing me, which is great for the show. If you want to get in touch. And by the way, it doesn't look very positive. Sharkhousepod.gmail.com. Someone's left me a voicemail, which is good. So go to sharkhouse.com.au. You can leave a voicemail. No swearies. I won't get on the show.
[00:43:07] So, Matu says, just a thought. Puru or McInnes to hooker. Braley to halfback. I think Braley could take the heat away from Hines. Ann says, hey there, it's all right. I still love you. Hey, better luck next time. Up, up. Thanks, Ann. Troy says, we did get lucky on that week's mistake for a try. Yeah, we did. I was thinking about that too, Troy, watching the game. I was like, even if we pull this out, it's like, ooh.
[00:43:38] Adam says, I watched the game from a pub in Darwin. Losing is better up here. T-shirt shorts, beers, thongs, helps soften the blow. We are still in this. That's good news. Sydney Council says, you say Hines was trying. Of course he was, but he isn't as talented as a lot of supporters think he is. It's been pretty good lately, but last two weeks, not so much.
[00:44:09] Troy says, I'll beat the Sharks next game, currently 2-0 when I go live in person. Can you not go to more games, Troy? You're killing me. Make sure you scream out when you see me about. You know what? I've got to say a lot of thanks and gratitude to people at Ocean Protect Stadium. I've done a lot of love today from people, from punters. So I really appreciate that. Thank you so much. I really, really, really genuinely appreciate it. Okay.
[00:44:39] Insta's under control. Now, not here for a super long time because I've got to go do some other commitments. Danny says, McInnes looked out of his depth today. It's a decline from him. Part of it's coming back from ACL, but he's not starting in my team next week. AFB, Cafusi, Colquhoun. Yeah, I don't know. Blair, who I saw briefly today, said, win or lose, Sammy. Love this club. We'll be back up, up. I love it, man.
[00:45:09] And, you know, we're not here to sort of have our shark glasses on and go. Everything's super and everything's all right. But we're also not here to go tear up the season, da-da-da-da-da. Everyone's got to like, you know, we're just in the middle here. We're trying to tell the story of what happened and tell it accurately. We're not here to sugarcoat anything. I know some people think we are. We're not. I'm not here to sugarcoat it. I'm just not going to yell on screen because I don't really have the energy.
[00:45:35] And also, I don't think that that's my best way to communicate. And I feel like if I was to do that, you'd take me less seriously. However, I'm with Blair. I love this club. I just want the best for it. But today, not even close to near our best, unfortunately. Sydney Council, I disagree with this man. He's been out of his depth all season about Nico Hines. I don't agree with that at all. I think there's been some really, really great games from him.
[00:46:04] So why one can't do it all season? That's a different question. But I'm not disrespecting your opinion. I'm just saying my opinion is I don't think I agree with you. Scott says, whatever boots the players wear this year, I need to throw them in the bin and get some studs that grip the turf. I couldn't believe how many times we've slipped over in crucial moments.
[00:46:33] Craig says, blood Gabriel, as in Michael. He's close. He's close. I'm telling you, he's close. Malcolm says, fits he won't blood. Players, he just won't. Well, we'll see. I'm going to bring in my friend Stats all the way from Perth, Western Australia. How are you, Stats? Sammy, good. You hear me okay? Gotcha. Good stuff, mate.
[00:47:02] Well, good stuff. Yeah, that's as good as it's going to get, mate. It's as good as it's going to get, yeah. Tell me what you saw. Mate, I'm sorry. I've missed you from the beginning. Just joined in now. You're good. I was hosting a good old Beaumaris Primary School Dads group, Dads camp out while we were watching. And over here, not many people give us stuff about the Sharks, let alone, well, Rugby League, let alone the Sharks. But by the end of the game, they were going for the Sharks and they all left disappointed.
[00:47:32] Oh, well, like enjoying 10,000 of us here at the stadium. Tell me, did you get to watch the game? Like, did you watch it closely or just sort of in and out or? Yeah, no, we watched it in between chatting. Yeah, mate, it looked like there were opportunities they had. I guess it's just the feelings you have in games, right? The feelings leading into games.
[00:47:58] Many people talked about last week, the feeling leading into the derby against St. George. You know, this is a game, you know, it was in the back of people's minds. This is a game we could lose. Yeah. It's a game that, and then the commentators you don't want us to listen to all said it during the week. Oh, that the Sharks have that in them. They have that in them. They can lose a game like that.
[00:48:24] And again, today, it just looked like a game that was always... Pre-game was always going to be tough to win, tough to compete in. And as the game went on, you know, it didn't help when we lost our 5-8 early on. Yeah, that doesn't help. And yeah, maybe that is a worthy excuse. Maybe it isn't. Tilly says... Who's that little person? That's Matilda. Hey, Matilda. How are you? I'm Sam.
[00:48:53] Nice to meet you. Good. Good. That's good. You didn't watch the game, did you, Tilly? Yes, because I was playing. She was playing. But yes. So, mate, look, it's a... We've gone... I guess the critical thing from here is we've gone from entering into last week's game with a real good shot of a home semifinal. Mm-hmm.
[00:49:18] Now, we need other teams to do us a favour just to finish in the top four. And keep winning. Yeah. And we might not... Yeah, and keep winning. So yeah, we need to keep winning and they need to do us a favour. Mm-hmm. And if we don't keep winning, if the NRL even give us a home final, we need to keep winning. We might... We could plausibly finish 7th, 8th here. Yes, it is plausible. It is.
[00:49:48] I'm not... Oh, look, I'm not here to trash on the boys. I'm not here to... I'm just here to be a realist. Yeah. And that's the situation we find ourselves in. How we got here. Yeah. It's a tough swallow, mate, isn't it? It is. It's really hard. It was hard of the game. A lot of emotion. We thought we got the Ronaldo try at the end to... I mean, Nikko would have had to kick the goal, but we were level then. They took it away from us. The ridiculous play before half-time was quite special.
[00:50:16] 45 sets of hands. That's amazing.
[00:50:46] It's going to be a tough week, I reckon. Sammy, I'll probably have to go in a sec, but the one thing that was noticeable at the end of the game were the boos around the crowd. Were they sent at the team or at... I didn't see anything from the officials that warranted it. Was that at the team? I need other people to comment on that. From my vantage point, I feel like it was when the referee ran off and that's what happened.
[00:51:12] So, I feel like it was at the referee rather than the team because the team was still on the field. He went off and the whole stand just went nuts. But I'd love for someone else to have an opinion on it. But from my point of view, I think it was more ref than team. Yeah. Now, while I do have a moment and you know my background, and like I say, I also was distracted during the match.
[00:51:41] Were there many controversial calls? Well, I think people at the ground had a problem with the Ronaldo no try because we didn't have the HD TVs like you might have had for the no try towards the end. We thought it was locked up. Went to the video ref. We were watching it on the replays. It looked like he got it. And I think a lot of emotion from that was held over at full time. Yeah.
[00:52:08] I don't think it was the greatest game from the ref, but I'm not here to say he cost us. I think it was the Sharks, you know, but there were a few moments that, you know. Booing at a referee who didn't make, who had his own decision, but the ultimate decision came from a video room who has 17 more angles than anyone, any of us saw. Yeah. Because we don't see those angles. We just see the angles that one camera that Sky give us. Yes. Whereas the bunker has all it.
[00:52:35] From what I'm seeing, that behind the goal line, behind the goal line shot, there was a faint green line between the try line. I would have seen it gone one frame further because I do believe the ball did roll over and I do believe he had it there, but they only showed that frame. Yeah. And that's down the box. But you've got to put your faith to a degree into the bunker. They've got 17 different screens.
[00:53:05] Yes. Absolutely. Mate, yeah, it's a hell of a fortnight. It's been a while. It's going to be an interesting last three weeks, but you know, let's see what they're made of. Let's see what we got. You know, I'm sure they're not going to like peel away and roll over. They're going to give it a shot. So let's see where we finish up.
[00:53:31] I don't think fourth place is, is gone, but it's going to be hard to get it back from the dolphins, you know? So let's, let's see. There's, there's three weeks. A lot can happen in three weeks. It's up to them losing. It's funny, mate. Um, yeah. Yeah. Just how quickly things turn. It's still, um, but yeah, mate. All right. Thank you for dialing in. Really appreciate it. Great to chat to you as always. Hello, young man. Hi. I like your top. Thank you, Danny. We listen to you a lot, Sammy. Awesome.
[00:54:02] We're going. Bye bye. See you later guys. Have a good afternoon over in Perth. We'll talk to you soon. All right. That's that. He's out of here. Thanks so much for calling in. Uh, some more comments deleted 60 girl, six, seven says all that ball, Malina can't score. It's a sign of terrible attack on the opponent's line. Uh, I appreciate all that, but you have to also realize that we have the best try scoring ratio of being inside the opposition 20 and scoring tries. So it's a recent thing. It hasn't been up all year thing.
[00:54:32] Uh, Shaggy Hannah says we're soft in moments when it matters. End of story. That's the reality. If you've been a shark supporter any length of time, last week's loss was predictable. Unacceptable today was likely for a loss. If fans know it, what does that say? I mean, I know that rhetoric's around. I've been a fan for a long time too, and we got to change that storyline, man. The fact that people went into the game last week thinking we could lose. We've got to get rid of that. Got to get rid of it.
[00:55:02] Mark says, do you think we're getting all these injuries because we had all our buyers pretty early? Um, I don't know about that. I, I, I haven't really thought about it to be honest. I don't know if I have an opinion on that, Mark. Shane says, what are blokes doing? Fitzy's made selection areas for a month. Herod is not a first grader. Sorry to say you blokes need to speak truth. Out coached again. Clueless spoke using injuries and excuse. Call it for what it is.
[00:55:30] No second, uh, number second or third. What's that? No second or third option in attack. That's coaching my friends. Um, well, if Herod is not a first grader, he won't be picked next week. Uh, we need to speak the truth. We always speak the truth here on Shark Cast. Shane, appreciate you. Um, no one's using injuries as an excuse. Not on this show, that's for sure.
[00:55:59] Grunge Meister Fuzz says, Sharks attack was a headless jook without tricky. Removing him decapitated the sixth tackle options. So much momentum, so much goal and attack. Side to side confusion. No points. Yeah. Well said. Uh, Peter doesn't want to hear Fitzy talking about how good the Raiders were. Wes says, we got in front at 2018.
[00:56:28] Should have gone on without licking that soft try from Topini. That was a horrible. Yeah, absolutely agree. Uh, Dan Fitz said, watch the game late. Top four is done. It's over. Haradi has to sit out. It's not over. It's just not looking good. Malcolm says, he wants to replace a half with a half and leave Braley in his preferred position. Fair enough.
[00:56:57] Scott says, uh, Nakora got it wrong with the attack. It's fallen off a cliff. And I definitely think that today there was some wrong options. Kept coming inside for some reason. Malcolm said he was good for Queensland. Deleted girl. 67 said, no, this coach won't play Paul out or Gabriel. He'll stick with Haradi. That's why I asked, does he really want us to win? You can't win with Haradi and McInnes.
[00:57:24] These strike players from New South Wales cup. So Deleted girl 67. I love the back and forth. Don't go anywhere. This is your podcast. Um, you don't know the coach won't play those people. And you cannot ask seriously, does he really want us to win? You cannot write that. That is silly. I'm telling you right now that Michael Gabriel is close. Whether that's next week or not, I don't have that information. I don't think he'll go with Paul out.
[00:57:54] I think he'll go with Nephi Peru. Who's done the job this year for us. There's not a bigger fan of Riley Paul out than me. I love the bloke. I don't think he'd let us down throwing him in on the, on the Gold Coast. Is it the right move? I'm not sure. Uh, Phil the fiery. I can't put that up, but you say we had ample opportunities. Thank you very much.
[00:58:22] Wes said, we can't go up a gear. We haven't been able to ever making finals is great, but it means nothing. If you're not turning up for those opportunities in the premierships, turning those options in the premierships. It's so frustrating. It is frustrating. Uh, Lush saying, sadly, we're a few years away from winning another premiership at this point. Uh, two weeks ago, we were going to win the comp. Hosko says, I'm too upset to comment on it. Nothing more to say. Well, I appreciate you saying hi anyway, Hosko. Sorry about that.
[00:58:52] I'm upset too. We're all upset. Sean says, we don't deserve to be a top four team. Interesting. Troy says, Nipha Peru at five, eight AFB and Toby are back next week. Let's get done. Is Toby back? I don't know if he is back next week. We shall find out soon enough. Peter says, blood Gabriel. Uh, Dan says, we are absolutely done now. Totally upset. Appreciate that.
[00:59:20] Um, don't be totally upset. Be very upset. And we're not absolutely done now. We're still alive. It's just, they got to do better. They got to do better. Kyle says, they need to play better next week. Sean says, discipline killed us. How many have time to look at all that sort of stuff? We won the penalty count nine, four. Is that right? Holy cow.
[00:59:50] Four set restarts each. Trey says, I'm blaming the Indian Ocean. De Paul, they mixed with El Nino trends. It was the only rationale to such a performance. It was pretty windy. Uh, Mark says he misses Atkinson on the bench now. Uh, Peter says, I'm a bit late. So I don't know what's been said. Raiders trial line defense was good. Stupidly burned the review, which would have been successful later.
[01:00:18] Defensive line upset with Trindle gone. Edge forwards need to work harder. So the wingers didn't jam in. And there were four or five other opportunities out there. Thanks, Peter. Very concise. NROL moves the side red says, the only ones who can overcome a narrative of the players and staff. It's easy to get swallowed up by narratives and still throw it and feel sorry for yourselves, but the ultimate ones are the players and staff in control. Up up. Absolutely.
[01:00:47] I agree with that. Because we are going to cop it. And what are you going to say? You know, we mucked up these two games. Brett says, Nick, I did okay. He created Kennedy. Uh, Kennedy's gone missing in the core of one. Kennedy goes back into that game, that long range line break. Uh, Sydney council apologies. I'm way behind. You're saying Cam McInnes has been out of his depth. I apologize.
[01:01:17] I thought you meant Nico Hines. I apologize. And boy, this is really awesome that we're all so upset, but. Lucius is a genuine chance we could drop to eighth. I need a whiskey. Hey, don't leave a brother hanging. Don't leave a brother hanging.
[01:01:46] Uh, Joanne says we're right there in the ET upper. Hey, welcome to the family. And the booing was definitely the officials, not the team. Yeah, that was my thought too, Joanne. Thanks so much for confirming that. Uh, Peter says the boom was definitely at the ref. The ref didn't cost us. It was the sharks decision making. Thank you. Malcolm says a boo towards the sharks might've sparked me the gear. Grunge. Most of the fuzz says next up Titans.
[01:02:14] We must avoid the banana skin trifecta to lose next week would indeed be a plunge into the abyss. Wes says we can't put away easy teams to bed. But what's worse is we can't ever put the media to bed. It plays in the old media narrative, but we can't get it done in big moments.
[01:02:44] Deleted girl 67 says sharks goggles. They even, even croaker a former Raider said it was on the line. Okay. Thank you. Deleted girl. Uh, grunge monster fuzz is at the ground. Was unhappy with the ref. When the Raiders went to the grubber, it was tackled, dropped it. Somehow call the sharks knock on Raiders scored a soft try from that. Yeah. It looks a bit interesting. Joe from Mr. Paisley says disappointing loss again. Nico can't lead the team around the field.
[01:03:14] Once tricky went off, we looked average. Wes says, I didn't think Haradi went that bad. He wasn't the worst. No, I didn't think he went that bad. Where's my criticism of human Nicker was they left points out there. Like they, there was a couple of two to three chances to go right. And they either held it or I delayed it or they went inside and yeah.
[01:03:42] Mitch says Fitz's use of telekite is criminal. Ed says I went with a Raiders fan. They're currently walking back to Newtown. Yes. Make them walk. Wish I was going to Newtown. Marky Mark says the defense was bad. Was the defense that bad? I listened to the radio. It sounded like three came after penalties. One was after 14 tackles. The big guys were cooked. It sounded like we were okay. Otherwise, look, it wasn't a horrendous performance, Mark.
[01:04:11] It was just the result. Like you can't let Topini score with five guys on you. You can't. And there were a bunch of guys who were responsible and they had one job to do today. Last week, sure. Let's let it go. This week, there was one job, win, and we didn't win. Grunge Most of Fuzz says save the whiskey, rub in the healing balm. I hope I'm giving you enough today. I don't know if I am.
[01:04:40] Ed says I thought both sides looked like the milk had it covered in the center. Each time we went there, the joy was around the ruck, but we went sideways too often. And Britain was kind of not good. Loosh says at least my trip in three weeks will be full of some joy when I get to see Joe and the crew at Mr. Paisley's again. That big breakfast has been humming my name since round one visit.
[01:05:04] So if you would like to have your name up in lights on this show, which is seen around the world, it does pretty good. Get in touch with me because we're looking for more sponsors all the time. The more sponsors, the better. And you've already had Jason Hawes on the show. Mr. Paisley's is getting left, right and center mentions as they should because it's the best cafe in the world. And Loosh, we will see you down at Mr. Paisley's my man.
[01:05:31] Loosh says, did you guys hear the ref telling Nico the captain's challenge already been reviewed? It was wild. Even the ref rolled his eyes when Nico still challenged. Peter says when Fitzy, Fitzy's the best coach when we win and when we lose, he's no good. So yeah, I get that. Joe is looking forward to seeing Loosh at Mr. Paisley's. Matt says, Sutton told him it had been checked. You sure you want to challenge?
[01:06:00] Ban wingers from challenging. Yeah. Sharks lose 24-20. It is not good. It is a not good state of affairs. I've got to get out of here real soon just as a heads up. Now, over the Insta, before I get out of here. David said, I like the rally at halftime. Wish we'd finish to try that. It would have been unbelievable. And you'd probably win the game. Tate says, Billy Burns is a liability. Too many dumb errors outweigh his okay runs.
[01:06:30] Oh, I disagree with that. But hey, Claudia's joined. Claudia, I didn't see you today. But I will see you soon. That's for sure. Sorry about the result. Jay said in the press, Fitz talked a little bit how Nephi had done the job before. He's also giving me an update saying 14-12, the Eels are leading the Cowboys. Okay. Jacqueline says, why are we upset when we get labeled as pretenders? I mean, the evidence is there. Oh, my heart, Jacqueline. It'd be broke.
[01:06:59] I think because they're talking about the thing we love. We want to defend. That's why. But you're right. We need to change the narrative. It's not like this week we can go, whoa, stop talking about us that way. That's not kind. We've lost two games. We should have won. So I hear what you're saying. All right. Sharky's lose. It has not been fun. Joe says, I'm driving back home. What's the prognosis on Tricky and what's it a try for Ronnie?
[01:07:27] Prognosis negative as in not good, but potentially two to four weeks, potentially at this stage. Let's wait for an official statement. And the Ronnie try. Oh, man, I'm getting left, right and center. Different things happening about whether it is or isn't. Some are saying it's on the line. Some aren't. I don't know is my answer, okay? So we'll have to all check that out. Got to get out of here. Thanks to everyone for listening. I'm sorry it's not. I mean, I've given you an hour and eight. That's not bad.
[01:07:56] But I do have to get out of here. Sharks lose 24-20. It is not a great evening to be a shark. I can promise you we're going to fight on. I understand how bittersweet it is to fight on from a position you don't want to be in. Thank you, Malcolm. Appreciate you. But this is the spot we're in now. We're in fifth and we're fighting to, I don't know, stay there and move up. So let's see what we can do. It's a long three weeks that could go good, it could go bad, it could go indifferent.
[01:08:27] There's going to be a bit of moving around. So let's see what happens. We know Trindle will be missing for a little while. Hopefully not for too long. What you need to do though is subscribe to this show. It's free. Hit follow, subscribe, wherever you watch or listen. You need to jump onto the social medias and follow us. You need to share us around, you need to like us. When I say need to, I'd like you to. Not being too pushy there. We have been doing NRLW, get to know the players episodes.
[01:08:54] It's not about X's and O's, it's about athletes and their lives. I'd love you to go listen to it. It's on our feed. It's called This Is How We Play. Do me a solid. God, go listen to that. Got to get out of here. Sydney Council is saying, yeah, Toby's probably not going to be ready, but let's wait and see on that. But appreciate you, Sydney Council. Sorry about the misunderstanding before. We'll turn this into an audio podcast when we can. It may not be tonight. It may be tomorrow. Don't freak out. I've just got to go elsewhere and do other things.
[01:09:24] But this is where we stand. We're in fifth place at the moment. We lost 24 to 20. It sucks. Thanks. I appreciate each and every one of you being mature listeners and viewers and for not blaming the podcaster, especially because that's when I love it the best when you don't blame me for all this stuff. Sharks lose. We're out of here. I can't play the song, which is really disappointing news. So I'm just going to like cut the feed, you know, in Cobra Kai, cut the feed, cut the feed.
[01:09:54] That's what we're going to do. But we will be back. We'll have Kieran on Monday ish probably and a bunch of episodes. We've got Titans next week. We're not stopping. We're on this train until it ends and it's not ending just yet. Thanks, Ed. Thanks, everyone. Let's just keep going. Let's muscle up. Let's do something. The year cannot end this way. The season cannot end this way.
[01:10:23] Up up. Talk to you soon.
