[00:01:37] That was probably one of the most fun days we've actually had

[00:01:39] At the football, it's quite rare that the Sharks kick out to a lead

[00:01:43] And don't kind of open up that door and let the other team in

[00:01:46] So that was so much fun, mate

[00:01:48] We even got recognised by people

[00:01:50] And what was his name, Sharky Sean?

[00:01:54] Did you hear what he said to me?

[00:01:56] I'm going to take it as a compliment

[00:01:58] He said, I know your head

[00:02:20] And then said the words, they're all for sale

[00:02:23] I lost it when he said that

[00:02:26] And it sent me down a wormhole

[00:05:01] It's funny because Ash and I have actually

[00:05:04] Bidded on things against each other on eBay

[00:05:06] And we didn't realize we were both going for things

[00:05:08] And we're friends so we should actually

[00:05:10] Probably talk about these things before we do it

[00:05:12] But my opinion is Ash has everything

[00:05:15] And again I was going down the wormhole of looking at his page

[00:05:18] All things Krunalsharks on Instagram this morning

[00:05:21] His collection is just insane

[00:05:24] The coolest part I think of his collection

[00:05:27] It's not so much the jerseys it's like the training jackets

[00:05:30] And things like that that he has

[00:05:32] And I remember seeing him in Townsville

[00:05:34] And he had that DB Bruis isn't it?

[00:05:38] But it's like this light blue tracksuit jacket

[00:05:40] In the middle of Townsville

[00:05:42] So there's no need to wear it, it was just so cool looking

[00:05:44] Oh the Bruis

[00:05:46] The Bruis one

[00:05:48] And I remember seeing that from my hotel window

[00:05:50] And he was walking down the street

[00:05:52] It stood out that much

[00:05:54] And then I was just looking at some of the other ones that he's got

[00:05:56] Speaking of Townsville

[00:05:58] Townsville came to town and I'm imagining they're gone by now

[00:06:03] And they've got the tab between legs

[00:06:05] And absolute smashing

[00:06:08] 42 to 6 it started early

[00:06:11] And really eased up at all

[00:06:14] And a thoroughly convincing game by Krunalshark

[00:06:18] All facets of the sport I thought were covered

[00:06:21] Like they were awesome yesterday

[00:06:23] And I think one of the interesting things that I was reading online

[00:06:27] Was the commentary around the different way the Sharks played

[00:06:31] And I didn't really notice it at the game

[00:06:34] But I watched the replay when I got home

[00:06:37] And we really kicked them to death

[00:06:40] And that's out there about how much more kicking Nico and Trindle did

[00:06:44] Than their average

[00:06:46] And it was substantially a lot more than what we did

[00:06:49] I don't know if we didn't notice it at the game

[00:06:51] But watching the replay back

[00:06:53] It was actually tight for the first 20 minutes or so

[00:06:56] And then the Hazelton try kind of breaks it open a bit

[00:06:59] But I think it was like the 26th minute or so

[00:07:02] And at that stage the Sharks had something like 20 from 20 completions

[00:07:06] And they were just kicking them to death

[00:07:09] That's why the Cowboys just looked so flat and deflated

[00:07:13] Because the Sharks were ruthless

[00:07:15] And that's not something we see very often from the Sharks

[00:07:18] So that was absolutely unreal

[00:07:20] When you complete at 37 or 41

[00:07:23] You're going to have the ball at the end of the set to kick

[00:07:26] And that's why there's probably a lot more kick-meaters

[00:07:28] Because usually they're not completing at that high level

[00:07:31] And they're giving the ball back

[00:07:33] And it's not as if they were playing safe

[00:07:36] But as you mentioned it, there seemed to be a lot more offloads than normal

[00:07:39] That they were pushing out there

[00:07:41] And everything was sticking

[00:07:43] It was one of those great days at the football

[00:07:45] There wasn't really a beer line

[00:07:47] We were able to get served

[00:07:49] Or they were able to get more than two beers after half time

[00:07:51] Which was an accident

[00:07:53] But it was just one of those days where everything just seemed to click

[00:07:56] And the Sharks now sitting at the top of the table

[00:07:58] Which is so strange to see

[00:08:01] Because it's been one of those seasons

[00:08:04] Where they haven't really beat anybody

[00:08:06] But Cowboys had the best attack in the league going into that game

[00:08:09] And the Raiders were coming third

[00:08:12] They beat the Warriors on the road

[00:08:14] Who were coming seventh

[00:08:16] But the Warriors of the team everybody says can challenge their Panthers

[00:08:19] So there's been a few tough games coming up

[00:08:21] But maybe they can start really establishing themselves

[00:08:24] And getting some credit because they're playing really well

[00:08:27] Yeah, that's something that as fans we hear a lot about from other fans

[00:08:31] And not getting the credit from the Fox crew

[00:08:35] And from Channel 9 and the papers

[00:08:37] And I completely understand that you want that

[00:08:40] But I think that you just keep winning and it's going to come

[00:08:43] And for me it's not so much about who we're defeating

[00:08:46] It's the fact that we're doing it every week by one

[00:08:49] Like that's super impressive

[00:08:51] We played six games, we won five

[00:08:53] But five and one

[00:08:55] And top of the table

[00:08:57] It's not a fluke

[00:08:59] You weigh up the top of the table

[00:09:01] If it was after two weeks

[00:09:03] Sure, or if you played absolutely bottom level teams

[00:09:07] Then maybe

[00:09:09] But it's been pretty all round

[00:09:11] Like we haven't played top notch

[00:09:13] Like next level, like Warriors aren't next level

[00:09:15] Let's be fair about that

[00:09:17] But that's coming up

[00:09:19] And we're going to be in a good spot

[00:09:21] Because if we have a good showing in the next two weeks

[00:09:23] Which I think we will against the Raiders and Dragons

[00:09:25] Then we hit the big boys

[00:09:27] And then we'll see what's happening

[00:09:29] And even then it's like it's not end of world stuff

[00:09:31] If we drop a game or two

[00:09:33] Because it's still super early in the year

[00:09:35] So just impressive where they're at

[00:09:37] My number one takeaway Kieran was the energy

[00:09:40] And the fitness of that team

[00:09:42] I don't know if it was game specific

[00:09:44] Or if that's where they're at generally

[00:09:46] But that was so impressive

[00:09:48] The energy, the fitness of the team

[00:09:50] Like one to seven in

[00:09:52] I think Niakatoa comes back for the next week

[00:09:55] But other than that

[00:09:57] I think it's a full strength squad now that we've got

[00:09:59] And we've got guys like Royce Hunt and Tux

[00:10:01] Playing front row in reserve grade at the moment

[00:10:04] So the players are starting to get back

[00:10:06] I think for Nuke

[00:10:08] Probably could play if we needed him

[00:10:10] Judging from Fitz's comments

[00:10:12] In the press conference the other day

[00:10:14] It seems like he's not too far off

[00:10:16] So again, it's going to be a really interesting balancing act

[00:10:20] Am not sure about how we're using Siffer

[00:10:22] I'm such a big Siffer fan

[00:10:24] And I want him out there a lot

[00:10:26] But he seems to be getting these ten minute stints

[00:10:29] Right before half time and right at the end of the game

[00:10:32] And I just think there's going to be a place

[00:10:34] For him out there somewhere

[00:10:35] Like he played lock front row

[00:10:37] And edge back row last night

[00:10:39] So I think they're trying different things

[00:10:41] Just to work out where to play him

[00:10:43] But you know, someone like Eero

[00:10:45] He's playing out of his skin

[00:10:47] It's just an exciting time with exciting depth

[00:10:49] And everyone's fit at the moment

[00:10:59] I mean I don't have it in front of me

[00:11:16] But then it's just a matter of the bench

[00:11:18] I mean, Williams played 45

[00:11:20] Rudolph 42

[00:11:22] Hamlin Welley 22

[00:11:23] But that was his first game in six months

[00:11:25] So that will obviously

[00:11:28] Rise each week

[00:11:30] So maybe there's not enough space on that bench

[00:11:33] To have a fourth guy play all those minutes

[00:11:35] But it's a good problem to have

[00:11:37] I mean, I think the selections

[00:11:39] And in the press conference last night

[00:11:42] One of the journalists was onto

[00:11:45] Fitsie about someone

[00:11:48] I can't remember who it was

[00:11:50] It might have been Siffer off the bench

[00:11:52] It might have been Finookin

[00:11:53] Someone in a selection point of view

[00:11:56] And he just went, I'm not talking about that now

[00:11:58] I'm going to enjoy the win

[00:12:01] So he knows that there's some big, big

[00:12:04] Selections coming up

[00:12:12] But even I guess that's in the conversation

[00:12:25] Especially from a coaching point of view

[00:12:27] Yeah, and I really like the balance of the bench

[00:12:30] At the moment

[00:12:31] And the players that we're getting back up

[00:12:33] Are going to further strengthen that bench

[00:12:35] And it's probably one of the better benches

[00:12:37] In the NRL

[00:12:38] Because you really noticed it yesterday

[00:12:40] The Cowboys for that first 20

[00:12:42] They were in the fight a little bit more than they were

[00:12:45] Once those starters started coming off

[00:12:47] And I remember I said it a few times

[00:12:48] They really looked like they didn't have leadership

[00:12:50] Because when it went to their bench

[00:12:52] That's where they fell apart

[00:12:54] And now we're bringing on guys like Tobi Rudolph

[00:12:57] Hamlin Ueli, Jack Williams, Siffer

[00:12:59] Those are all four powerful players

[00:13:02] And I think I saw on the Maddie John Show

[00:13:04] Brian Fletcher was talking about it

[00:13:05] That's how we just blew them off the park

[00:13:08] And when you looked at the Sharks Bench

[00:13:10] You knew what we were going to try and do to the Cowboys

[00:13:12] And the Cowboys just had nothing to stop it

[00:13:14] So as we move forward

[00:13:16] It's going to be really interesting to see who misses out

[00:13:18] Because guys like Kale have been so patient

[00:13:21] And now he's finally got his opportunity

[00:13:23] He's performing

[00:13:24] But to your point, he might be moved out

[00:13:27] To accommodate Siffer

[00:13:28] To give us that greater balance

[00:13:29] And that was exactly the question

[00:13:31] I think that Fitzie was answering at that time

[00:13:35] With all these players getting back?

[00:13:55] I mean, I look at that 17 yesterday

[00:14:03] Of Williams, Rudolph, Talakai and Hamlin Ueli

[00:14:06] Now, starting from Hazelton and Kofusi

[00:14:09] Both doing great jobs

[00:14:10] I'm not dropping Hazelton

[00:14:12] I think Kofusi might be the one to go

[00:14:14] But that's a tough call

[00:14:16] Considering he's had a pretty good year

[00:14:18] In the role that he's meant to play

[00:14:20] We know he's not a superstar

[00:14:21] I mean, he made 117 metres yesterday

[00:14:24] We know he's not even much of a tackle buster

[00:14:26] Or anything

[00:14:27] But he does the job he's supposed to do

[00:14:29] And I mean, to be taken out of that 17

[00:14:32] Would be a big call

[00:14:35] In the sense that how do you justify it?

[00:14:38] Well, Dale Finuccan's coming back as Premiership winner

[00:14:41] Who are you going to get more out of right now?

[00:14:43] Kofusi or Finuccan?

[00:14:45] Would you rather have Kofusi or Royce Hunt?

[00:14:48] Like it's just intriguing, man

[00:14:51] I think the balance that it gives us to

[00:14:54] Is I don't think there's any doubt

[00:14:56] That Hamlin Ueli and Toby are our two best front rowers

[00:14:59] In my opinion

[00:15:01] And then you have Hazelton really

[00:15:03] Shooting up that depth chart from

[00:15:05] Probably about the fifth guy at the start of this season

[00:15:08] To probably the third if you're looking at talent wise

[00:15:11] And I think he's now down a starting spot

[00:15:14] His minutes have gone from something like 22 minutes

[00:15:17] To 47 minutes on average

[00:15:19] He is a legit NRL player now

[00:15:21] And I don't think we really thought

[00:15:24] That that was going to become the case so soon

[00:15:26] In his career because he's really grabbed the spot

[00:15:29] But having him and Kofusi doing those two different roles

[00:15:32] Really allows that bench to come through with that punch

[00:15:35] So I really like the bench that we had yesterday

[00:15:38] I don't think you'll see Toby and Hamlin Ueli

[00:15:41] Probably on the bench for too long

[00:15:43] I think that they are starters and they'll probably want to play

[00:15:45] But it just gives us different looks

[00:15:47] For different teams that we play

[00:15:49] And that's kind of what I think Fitz was sort of saying

[00:15:51] Is we'll evaluate the 17 each week

[00:15:53] Based on the opponent and what we need to get out of the team

[00:15:56] You've got Kofusi, you can do that

[00:15:58] With the really good defence in the middle

[00:16:00] But maybe you might need a guy like Royce Hunt

[00:16:04] For a bit more size if you're going up against the Broncos

[00:16:06] Or something like that that have a monster pack

[00:16:08] Or the Warriors

[00:16:09] So the depth chart is just really quite impressive

[00:16:13] And again we're adding Fnilb Lake to that middle

[00:16:16] I just don't know how it's all going to balance out

[00:16:18] Moving forward but there's just so much to look forward to

[00:16:20] This year before we can even think about that

[00:16:47] He's fit, he's tough, he's skillful

[00:16:56] And I was very worried at the time

[00:16:58] When you sort of see a middle out there on an edge

[00:17:00] And then I overlapped thinking

[00:17:02] No come on please, it's a Stone Street moment

[00:17:05] But he did really well in drawing in that winger

[00:17:08] And putting Stone Street over for one of the great

[00:17:11] Shark Park tries to score that in front of his family

[00:17:13] And friends

[00:17:14] It was going off, it was such a fun day at the football

[00:17:18] Yeah it's a nice segue

[00:17:20] Let's go to Stone Street

[00:17:22] And a fantastic debut

[00:17:24] I've been a member of the team for a long time

[00:17:27] Didn't do anything wrong in my opinion

[00:17:29] I thought he was great, he caught some high balls

[00:17:32] He scored a try

[00:17:34] Not much asked of him in defence

[00:17:36] But he looked like he knew what he was doing

[00:17:38] He was pretty quick out there

[00:17:40] He's obviously a very quick man

[00:17:42] We didn't see much of that yesterday

[00:17:44] I talked about it on the review episode last night

[00:17:46] But I think he definitely was hurt early in the game

[00:17:49] And played on extremely bravely

[00:17:51] But I think it affected his game in the sense that

[00:17:54] There were some sets where he wasn't in position

[00:17:56] He was with the trainer

[00:17:58] And I think that he just got bashed early

[00:18:02] And the physical nature from the Cowboys

[00:18:07] Kept up a little bit throughout the game

[00:18:09] Not a slight on him, he was fantastic

[00:18:11] But I think there was something happening

[00:18:13] In one of the first two tackles

[00:18:15] And that was kind of it from the point of view

[00:18:17] That I thought he was damaged for a lot of the game

[00:18:20] But it's not a criticism, I'm just pointing out to everyone

[00:18:22] You didn't see speed probably for a lot of reasons

[00:18:24] But that was one of them

[00:18:26] But terrific game

[00:18:28] And obviously he'll be the first one picked

[00:18:30] If a winger goes down

[00:18:32] If not maybe another three-quarter

[00:18:34] I don't know, he might be able to slot into the centre

[00:18:36] Or somewhere else we've seen him do it at lower grades

[00:18:39] Absolute feel-good story with the try

[00:18:41] In the corner with the friends and family

[00:18:44] And absolute chaos

[00:18:46] And I had probably, sure we all did

[00:18:48] Proper chills when he crossed

[00:18:50] Like it was just what we wanted to see

[00:18:53] It was everything we had hoped for

[00:18:55] And to see him to get that moment

[00:18:58] And to see his face and to see the players get around him

[00:19:01] It's something that he will remember

[00:19:03] For the rest of his life

[00:19:04] And a lot of us die-hard sharks fans

[00:19:06] Will remember that Stone Street try

[00:19:08] And hopefully he can go and have a really long career with us

[00:19:11] Because again, it's just such a good feel-good story

[00:19:14] And the Cowboys went after him

[00:19:16] Like the Cowboys, they bashed him

[00:19:18] They were super physical

[00:19:20] He didn't back down

[00:19:22] He didn't get scared

[00:19:24] He dug his feet in and he kept going

[00:19:26] It was a tremendous game from him

[00:19:28] And I think he will be that next man up

[00:19:30] Every single time now

[00:19:31] If there's something that goes on with one of our wingers

[00:19:34] But I think it's just a really great story

[00:19:36] For the development that we actually have at the club

[00:19:39] If you look at that 17 we had yesterday

[00:19:42] Kennedy DeBood with us

[00:19:43] Stone Street DeBood with us

[00:19:44] Mortalo DeBood with us

[00:19:46] Ramean DeBood with us

[00:19:47] Iro DeBood with us

[00:19:48] Trindle DeBood with us

[00:19:49] Wilton, Nikora, Hazelton, Brailey

[00:19:52] All DeBood with us

[00:19:53] So that really is like four guys

[00:19:55] That is left of our starting 17

[00:19:57] That did not play first grade

[00:19:59] For their first game at the shark

[00:20:01] So these guys have been together for a long time

[00:20:03] And when you see fans online saying

[00:20:05] Why don't we buy this guy
