[00:02:09] and I'm here with my good buddy and friend of the show Kieran Fraser, and this is what we're

[00:02:14] calling catching up with Kieran for coffee or something like that. A lot of seas and caves in

[00:02:19] the title. Fresh from Las Vegas Kieran, hello how are you? I'm slowly recovering. I landed on

[00:02:27] Saturday and I'm starting to feel a bit more normal as each hour goes past. I want you to explain

[00:02:33] where you were when the sharks had their brilliant victory on Friday night Australian time.

[00:02:39] So at that moment I was about 90 minutes off the coast of Los Angeles, so I was actually looking

[00:02:46] at my phone and I was seeing that it was 6 o'clock in Australia and it was like 6.09 and I was just

[00:02:52] started to get that anxiety and stress and was trying to see if there was any wifi on the plane

[00:02:56] that I could check things and yeah well it wasn't a fun feeling especially because you never put

[00:03:02] your phone on aeroplane mode right because that's just a scam by the government. No no if you don't

[00:03:06] the planes crash. Well yeah so Bryce Gibbs talked about this like 10 years ago on Twitter and so

[00:03:13] that's where I got lost. We're relying on Bryce Gibbs all respect great shark to talk about

[00:03:21] plane safety? Well the other person who talked about plane safety is James Maloney and he says

[00:03:27] that the brace position is actually a position that will kill you instantaneously so don't ever use

[00:03:34] the brace position. Well he does know how to win grand finals to be fair. Well if there's a person

[00:03:39] who should ever trust I think it's definitely him but I don't even know how we got to this point

[00:03:42] but yeah there was no wifi on the plane unfortunately but as we were getting close you were looking

[00:03:46] but there was none. I was looking as we got close to Sydney I started getting like Texas coming

[00:03:51] through and I think everyone was sending you Texas probably in that first 10-15 minutes because

[00:03:56] everyone's having a meltdown so I was like oh they've lost this sucks you know but then when I

[00:04:01] actually got internet I saw that one I was like why was it getting abused by everybody? Well you

[00:04:05] be pleased to know that the six or seven friends of yours were the only people in the entire world

[00:04:09] melting down. No one else had a meltdown especially on the internet. I've gone and read some posts

[00:04:17] and yes some people were not happy but they were the same people were very happy you know an hour

[00:04:23] or so later it's quite amazing. What is factual though is that none of us were happy in that opening

[00:04:28] 15? I know you've watched the game since which is great and we're mostly going to talk about that

[00:04:34] I was pretty proud of them and I think in hindsight if they hadn't had the result I'd still be

[00:04:41] taking a lot away from it but I'm just really thankful they did for lots of for millions of

[00:04:47] different reasons but but we showed that we can grind again we showed that we can beat a top-8

[00:04:54] team again we showed that we can win away from home down 12 nil hold the team out for 60 minutes

[00:05:03] not go crazy in the last 10 to 15 throwing the ball around like they really looked like

[00:05:08] they'd matured it's one game absolutely but they look like they'd come so far since last year.

[00:05:13] Yeah and I think you kind of think about the trials right so last year the sharks were like

[00:05:19] basically the best team in the preseason but they didn't have enough uploads so they didn't win

[00:05:22] the competition and then we started flat and this year the trials they didn't look that crash hot

[00:05:28] but they've actually started well and like when was the last time the sharks won around one game

[00:05:32] I can't remember. It was 2021 but it's the only one we've won in the last 10 years so it's two

[00:05:38] in like 10 or 11 years now. Yeah because that's the feeling right it always feels like going

[00:05:42] around two where it's like you don't want to be down two and oh that's a hard way to turn the

[00:05:46] season you look what happened to Param out of last year they go off to a bad start and they could

[00:05:50] never get it back so to be up one nil it's fantastic. I'm already getting texts from the crew about

[00:05:57] not being complacent against the bulldogs and that's a great sign because it means we're one and

[00:06:02] oh that's awesome. Yeah and I mean the bulldogs game I think is going to be interesting because

[00:06:07] there haven't been a shark park in a long time and the last time they were there was that rooster's

[00:06:11] game where it was just diabolical right and the result was yeah yeah the result was diabolical right

[00:06:17] and you know 50s really made a huge thing about making shark park that place where no one wants

[00:06:22] to come and you know Friday six o'clock I can't wait I'm excited I'm so pumped about it I can't

[00:06:28] wait to go yeah it's going to be a great one what will you take away from the game tell me things

[00:06:34] the crazy part for me was the defense of Will Kennedy and Niko Hines those two guys really

[00:06:40] threw their body on the line and I know Kennedy had a miss for the Medcalf tribe but after that he

[00:06:46] was everywhere in defense and he was super physical and the same with Niko like Niko and Jackson

[00:06:51] fought a few times really got in his face and really you know made those big hits so I think that

[00:06:56] was the most impressive thing for me was just the fact that the defense scramble was so good

[00:07:01] Ray and Trindal too you know some of the tick recovery is that he did like he just kept putting

[00:07:06] himself in the right spots and you think if more than was there would that have happened

[00:07:10] on Will Kennedy and Matt tried that Medcalf scored to be fair and Will Kennedy was our best player

[00:07:16] last year nine times out of ten he's going to score that try Medcalfe yeah like I'm not saying he's

[00:07:22] not at fault somewhat with whoever the other lad was but Medcalfe stepping 15 out in full flight

[00:07:30] yeah and I think there was also an awkward position with the player in front of him too so he kind

[00:07:34] of got like bumped out of the way a little bit there as well and again he threw his body on the

[00:07:38] line for the Fennel Blake home try as well where he had absolutely zero chance of stopping him but

[00:07:43] I'm so excited to get him in charts because Fennel Blake looked incredible let's hope he's injury

[00:07:49] free and cumbersome's nice and healthy uh Niko Hines was great I thought both halves were great

[00:07:53] in different ways I thought Trindal actually played slightly better and it's interesting this morning

[00:08:00] the the Dalian points are out and Niko got six points the most in the game

[00:08:06] Talucleid got I think two no sign of Will Kennedy Fennel Blake got maybe a bunch as well but

[00:08:13] so that's a whole other subject but I thought Niko was really solid the first half

[00:08:18] he was really aggressive and it mostly worked for him both of the second half he was slightly

[00:08:25] calm but still really physical and I guess a match winning tackle would you go that far the last

[00:08:33] tackle of the game absolutely because they had been battered for like that last sort of eight

[00:08:38] minutes or so the Warriors were just throwing everything at their line and they did that play which

[00:08:43] was that trick shot where you put the second rower straight at at the half and Niko read it and

[00:08:48] you know Niko really got in there and you know made that tackle it was it was something that

[00:08:53] in the past it might have gone through the line and we could have said I will at least they

[00:08:58] fought back but Fennel to actually execute in those big moments shows that they've done a lot

[00:09:03] of work on those defensive issues yeah absolutely the guy that I can't stop thinking about is Cifer

[00:09:09] Tallikai at times he carried the team on his back literally doing two hit ups in a set off

[00:09:15] off their own line absolutely incredible performance not to mention the tries he scored and set up

[00:09:21] you and I have talked about the one that he scored he had so much involvement to set Ronaldo up

[00:09:27] he fell on his bum got back up scored the try and Tallikai for me I think was man of the match

[00:09:35] I don't think it was will can I think it was Tallikai and and that was an insane performance yeah

[00:09:40] I mean that try that he's set up for Ronaldo where he catches the ball on the inside then gets to

[00:09:45] the outside and does that pass he's so skillful and I think we ever just think of Tallikai we think

[00:09:52] of his battering ram and everyone talks about his defensive issues and all type of stuff but you

[00:09:58] know if you're a player he's pulling the last sentence you want to be running out like if you're

[00:10:01] going up against Tallikai you must be going this is going to not be a fun night because he's so

[00:10:06] physical and everything he does is brutal like that's set where he took two hit ups off our

[00:10:11] trial line they we're getting bashed and he was just like give it to me I'll do it and he's just

[00:10:17] steamroll people I'm I'm a big Tallikai guy yeah I thought that without him we probably don't win

[00:10:23] that game I because we talked about during the week about how if the if the middles couldn't

[00:10:31] all each completely get the job done then we needed other people to help and they did like

[00:10:36] the back five are incredible like I thought that was close to Ronaldo's best game yeah and I think

[00:10:42] when we look at the team and everyone sort of says well they haven't added you know any new

[00:10:47] signings of note and all those type of things and the club has always been pretty resolute in

[00:10:52] we can get more out of those guys like just take the back five for example do you think any of

[00:10:57] them is hit their peak we'll Kennedy no Ronaldo no Jesse Ramyam not sure but hopefully not Tallikai

[00:11:08] who knows gets hoar maybe yeah that's my answer there's all upside in all those guys I think right

[00:11:17] and I don't think any of them's on a downward trajectory right and they're all kind of around

[00:11:20] that hundred game mark right now and you go back and look at the Panthers the team that we played

[00:11:25] in the 2018 finals I think it was like they had Dylan Edwards in there they hadn't anything clear

[00:11:31] in there right and then they started dominating like three four years later and I'm not saying that

[00:11:36] we're going to go on a Panthers like run here but that's the model that the Sharks are trying to

[00:11:41] accomplish right of getting more out of those guys and doing a strategic signing like a football

[00:11:45] Blake along the way so at least there's a vision and you know I'm buying into it at the moment yeah

[00:11:50] for sure Jesse Ramyans defense on RTS was exquisite yeah like that was the concern right it's

[00:11:57] RTS is returned game first game back of the Warriors sold out crowd and I barely know

[00:12:03] steam in the game and you know Jesse got a few errors out of him and got some penalties and things

[00:12:07] like that yeah I think Jesse's got heaps of upside like Jesse to me is that Justin Hodges type player

[00:12:12] if he can put it together I just think I really do like Jesse I'm sounding too happy and fluffy

[00:12:17] no no it's all good like there's there's there's a little bit of negativity which we'll get to and

[00:12:22] and the opening 15 was not fantastic but you know see opening 15 of a long campaign I mean we could

[00:12:29] sort of get past that let's talk about the forwards I thought I thought overall they were

[00:12:35] they were good at times dominated at times they were dominated looking at some of their stats

[00:12:41] some of the guys are not flash but doesn't mean they didn't put in I think for example

[00:12:45] Oregon Confuci starting the game these stats aren't great but I thought he did enough to kind of

[00:12:53] hold some sort of spot in the 17 like I thought as a starting guy he wasn't

[00:12:58] I thought he was competent I thought it wasn't flash but I didn't think he did anything wrong

[00:13:04] I think with Confuci when he does things he can be super physical and I think that's the kind

[00:13:10] of point of difference that we kind of need from him because you've got a lot of impact guys there

[00:13:14] and I think with Confuci he was just solid and he did his job and I think you know he was

[00:13:20] he was quite handy for us and that allows Toby to come off the bench and I know Toby's coming

[00:13:24] back from injuries but Toby looked unreal off the bench we'll get to him know about that

[00:13:29] Royce Hunt obviously an unhappy game for him just overall just the three errors were just too much

[00:13:39] at wrong times and didn't seem to learn from it in the game I'm sure he'll learn from it during

[00:13:45] the week I'm not putting a line through the guy I just thought in a team of guys that did

[00:13:50] really really well I thought he was pretty off he had some nice hit ups throughout the game

[00:13:54] a few nice hit ups that were handy especially in the any second stint but obviously he'll be

[00:14:00] talking to the coach about some of those errors I think what when I get most worried about Hunt

[00:14:04] is when he starts putting that arm out for the offload yeah when he starts getting that arm out

[00:14:08] you just start to worry a little bit so maybe it's like they went through that period with

[00:14:12] Fefida where they were just kind of like no offload just go straight in and hard and then Fefida

[00:14:16] just dominated the game right but yeah that's the concern for me man there is players to come back

[00:14:23] and then what the roles look like you do wonder where Hunt fits in especially moving forward into

[00:14:28] things like next year when he got finital Blake does well right so yeah he's going to be a

[00:14:33] work to do I think yeah I don't know if I'd be starting him this week we can sort of ponder over

[00:14:37] that during the week but we'll see we'll see what happens I thought Ken McKinnis was just you know

[00:14:45] what can you say about the guy he was captain he was terrific um he's so calm he's calm oh yeah

[00:14:50] I like the way he spoke to the ref that was kind of cool yeah it was gentle like for a player that's

[00:14:57] an absolute lunatic it was just strange to see him be so patient and calm talking to the ref I guess

[00:15:01] that's just maturity um we saw other middles like Darryl for Nuke and come off the bench he had

[00:15:07] an unfortunate error with one of these first play the balls but I thought other than that he was fine

[00:15:13] like as a bench he that would probably be my role for him I see positives in it I'm not saying

[00:15:20] that I'm not saying there's not guys there who can't do as good a trouble better but I thought

[00:15:25] it was fine you know yeah I see having him off the bench was a bit of a surprise to me it's

[00:15:32] only that I think a lot of people have kind of wanted for a while with McKinnis starting um but

[00:15:37] you bring in for Nuke and in the middle of the game and you're bringing on a guy that's got you know

[00:15:41] a couple hundred games experience one grand finals a proven leader and you see the players they

[00:15:46] all respect him and really love being around him so I think that's a great role but if he embraces

[00:15:52] you know it also says to other players you're not above coming off the bench right if

[00:15:56] Nuke doesn't he ribs and tears if you're Toby and you're on the bench you can't complain

[00:16:01] Toby was immense he was maybe the third best guy out there for me uh almost a hundred meters

[00:16:07] half-hour stint just really effective runs uh didn't miss any tackles and a real presence out

[00:16:15] there and I absolutely loved what he did I think he's playing less minutes um and he's just

[00:16:22] going off so much harder like he's he ribs and tears like there's nobody else and I think the

[00:16:28] the less minutes he has the the better he's going and you know if that's his role and you know

[00:16:33] that's pretty exciting and again it falls into that depth right once you bring in Hamilton

[00:16:36] well yeah and guys like ah it's gonna be a unique way but I thought the way the bench was used

[00:16:42] to is different to the past did you know yourself elaborate from me I noticed it was a bit more

[00:16:47] effective but yeah well sometimes like last year in the year before like there's been a lot of

[00:16:51] talk online of like plays playing too long minutes and and players getting gassed and then you'd

[00:16:56] see an error from a Toby or an error from a hunter people are sort of saying well we get to the

[00:17:00] end of the game we've got all lots of you know changes left and things like that but it seemed

[00:17:04] like a real plan this week to actually go through and recycle the guys and no one was out there

[00:17:10] and they looked completely gassed and you know Jack Williams was another guy who came off the bench

[00:17:14] it was you know phenomenal I thought he was probably one of our better players too so I've got a feeling

[00:17:20] and I can't confirm it nor would I really ask the question but I've got a feeling Royce was hooked

[00:17:26] early in the first dent his total minutes were 19 so that probably wasn't the plan for a starting

[00:17:35] prop uh we go to Kafusey played 44 minutes cam played 40 Dale played 20 Jack 47 Toby 31 Hazelson 40

[00:17:48] so some big minutes from some of them some less so for different reasons uh Dale with 20

[00:17:56] that might be easing back in he was injured to finish the season didn't play too much preseason I

[00:18:01] think or any maybe I can't remember but that might just be tactical to get him fit uh Jack Williams

[00:18:08] was unbelievable he he was fantastic yeah he came on a bit earlier than expected 100th game

[00:18:14] I believe family was over there to watch him really special game for him and I'm glad they won

[00:18:19] for him and I thought tall Tom was really great too I thought that you know he I think he made the

[00:18:24] most meters for us played half the game and I just really like what he brings and it's not going

[00:18:30] to be amazing every week like he just he'll do a job in some weeks it looks sort of better than

[00:18:36] others but it's gonna be a very consistent role I think to be I think he's getting more and more

[00:18:41] like Luke Douglas for me every week I was just thinking that like he's just become consistent for

[00:18:48] money like he actually looks like a real first grader now the first couple of games you kind of

[00:18:52] thought oh can this guy do big minutes because of the size of him and the pace of the game but

[00:18:58] that surprised me he busted out 40 minutes like that's a that was that the biggest of our front

[00:19:03] rounds it's close so Jack whatever you want to consider him played 47 and Kufousi played 44

[00:19:12] wow yeah so to have him out there for that long shows that they really trust him

[00:19:17] yeah and it shows that he's fitness obviously is really up there too because he is enormous

[00:19:22] he's one of the biggest humans I've ever seen yeah yeah what did you make of would you make a

[00:19:27] Blake Island I thought Blake was I didn't notice him that much you noticed him when he got bounced

[00:19:35] off the for Neil Blake big run but that just made me think of exciting for next year when he's

[00:19:43] able to run off the back of that right but yeah I didn't really notice played that much now

[00:19:48] that I think about it yet a few handy runs was just sort of serviceable for the rest of the game

[00:19:53] nothing bad there was that missed tackle and a few people sort of added me on on the socials

[00:19:58] and I was like well what do you want him to do it for do a Blake of course he's going to look

[00:20:03] funny bounce the off him yeah and like I mean the size difference there for one but like I just

[00:20:08] wanted to start he did 45 tackles against a huge warriors pack his service was obviously a

[00:20:13] macular the fact that I can't even recall that much of his game yeah and when you talk to anyone

[00:20:20] around the club or you know in different people in the NRL they all say the same thing that he

[00:20:25] services is second to night right it gets the ball in the right places and there's not you never

[00:20:30] see a bad pass from W half on him right and I think everyone wants him to run more and be that

[00:20:34] flashy guy and maybe kick a little bit but you know if he can go and notice and get us on the front

[00:20:39] foot and put us where we need to be then you know that's a that's a win for mine so he had four runs

[00:20:43] for 33 meters and again not amazing stats but if he keeps adding to that each week it will start

[00:20:50] looking more impressive if that's what you're after but I think the fact that there wasn't some sort

[00:20:55] of upcry from the world about him aside from that mistackle I think it's a good sign I think people

[00:20:59] kind of locked into the fact that he he had a good game not not great or amazing but he was just

[00:21:05] solid and and most of the team was most of the team played to a standard that you really need we can

[00:21:09] wake out and they really and they dug in it was so impressive at 12 kneel down you're thinking

[00:21:15] you know what this could blow out to 40 in all seriousness like that's not being dramatic

[00:21:20] it's 15 minutes in and it's 12 kneel and we look like on that right edge that we're struggling

[00:21:25] and they pull it all together and the super important part was the 20 minutes four half time if

[00:21:31] they had let go even one more unconverted try you'd think that would be probably enough for

[00:21:35] the Warriors to kick on yeah they have stopped playing I thought it was hilarious that my good

[00:21:42] friends at Fox Sports were playing a promo about Sean Johnson who's on a show tonight and he

[00:21:47] was talking it was all about the game against the sharks and and how it was one of the greatest

[00:21:51] moments his career I'm not talking that down I probably was like it was an amazing win for the Warriors

[00:21:55] but like come on bro it's 2024 go out and win the game for your team you're up 12 kneel

[00:22:00] him and Metcups just went to sleep they stopped playing yeah and there's a few things right where

[00:22:04] he kicked on the floor like attacking a line and we wasn't even kneeling so like oh I

[00:22:10] went and read some of the Warriors fans comments on some of their forums and they were all sort

[00:22:17] of having a meltdown saying this is back to the SJ that we that we know in love but

[00:22:21] although good better like though there's no doubt the Warriors will be fine like they

[00:22:26] maybe five more minutes they win the game I don't know well the sharks was an insi I think was just

[00:22:31] there because the Warriors were trying to throw a lot at them and the Warriors almost went up 18 kneel

[00:22:35] to like where they had the the forward going at Niko and will Kennedy stop that as well

[00:22:40] and then Ronaldo diffusing that kick in the corner there was no way that we should have won

[00:22:48] that game like the Warriors are a good side they had 20,000 plus people down in a Friday night

[00:22:52] like that's a game when you look at the draw you probably put down as a loss if you go back onto

[00:22:57] some of the match centers online you can use the Fox Sports one I'm sure there's other ones as

[00:23:01] well and you look at the stats by half and you look at the first half stats even overall but if

[00:23:07] you look at the first half stats it's kind of scary that A it wasn't more than 12 nil down and B

[00:23:12] that we won the game like it's again it's only one game and you and I are not going off too early

[00:23:17] but it's just an amazing sign at this point of the very early part of the season to say well

[00:23:23] this is what we've achieved this is where we can improve and I sort of get the feeling that fits

[00:23:29] is one of those guys that will hammer into them all week like yeah amazing well done you should be

[00:23:35] congratulated but hey this is where you went wrong in the first 15 this is where you could have

[00:23:42] scored some more tries there was a couple of chances down the right with Katowah and Jesse getting

[00:23:46] a bit confused it's around one no drummers so we had our chances too to sort of go ahead a little

[00:23:51] bit more but overall I think one of the better wins in the in the past I don't know 10 years like just

[00:23:58] super happy with it I just think it's the confidence as well because we haven't been a great

[00:24:03] starting club and we always have to kind of work our way into a season right but for the sharks to

[00:24:08] have you know everyone says the same issues about the sharks right they can't be at top 18 there

[00:24:13] they only win at shark park against the easy team and all that type of stuff that fences

[00:24:16] isn't good enough they held out a team they beat a top 18 they did it on the road so it's kind

[00:24:22] of like reaffirming that hey we're on the right course here yeah there's things to improve on but

[00:24:28] it they got themselves in a bad situation then they got themselves out of the night super

[00:24:32] impressive now we are recording this before the Academy Awards today Karen are you able to

[00:24:38] confirm or deny is the iron claw up for any awards at all or is it too early or something I haven't

[00:24:43] seen anything about that the only thing I've seen about the iron claw is that you can never rent it

[00:24:48] and I still haven't seen it yet so I need to rent it I'll tell you this and I'm assuming

[00:24:54] this is a song from a movie from the things I've read if Billy Eilish doesn't win 14 Academy Awards

[00:24:59] for that song of hers the ballad then let's just shut it all down you know that song I'm talking

[00:25:44] anything else to make me cry these days it's just I'm a very fragile person but I did watch

[00:25:49] Australian Idol last night yes boys going all right and well that I thought about that right

[00:25:57] he's killing it but then also too did you see the KO sports ad no so the sharks are all over that

[00:26:04] we've got our female captain on the on the float that they've got there's Nico on the

[00:26:08] boat we've got the Australian Idol you know we're the most marketable club in the league I think

[00:26:12] we've got to be in Vegas next year we're about to be owned by people who own Vegas which is very

[00:26:16] exciting our five million dollars coming to us over five years I believe unconfirmed we'll get

[00:27:07] for it like it's going to be interesting to see what they do with the money as I said the the

[00:27:13] the whisper I heard was a million per year over five that that may be wrong but that's what I'm

[00:27:19] hearing so with a million bucks which is still a lot of money you wonder what you do with it as

[00:27:25] it goes towards facilities for the players as it goes towards stadium as it goes towards I don't

[00:27:31] know something else I'm not sure really what's going to have a lot of

[00:27:37] machine in Vegas mate you know maybe we don't need to spend as much like a just ship a few out

[00:27:41] here put them online yeah maybe maybe now you know a lot about business you're one of the one of

[00:27:46] the business men that we associate with on the show what what's their deal they they're just

[00:27:51] high rollers and they own things in America you have like investment arms and and sort of put

[00:27:57] their money to work for them and they buy assets that just generate a ton of revenue right so

[00:28:02] like buying the cosmopolitan hotel in Las Vegas is probably one of the most ridiculous things I

[00:28:08] have heard of and I think that paid something like 5.5 billion for it but you can just imagine

[00:28:13] the turnover of that every single day and I'm sure the club is asking them for advice on you know

[00:28:19] things like the least club that we're doing right you know how do you make that successful but

[00:28:24] from my research yet it looked like they're just real big investors that make in an absolute killing

[00:28:30] I think they're worth something like 60 billion I mean at some point if these guys are legit and

[00:28:37] I'm not here to suggest they're not and it's a controversial subject but do we start thinking

[00:28:43] about ownership or something if these guys are that big fans because they could they could own they

[00:28:48] could own an annual club in their sleep with that kind of money I don't look you know I'm sure

[00:28:52] there is downsides to it and people probably screaming you know and getting angry for this but

[00:28:57] I don't see if you've got it owner that loves your club you know look at what Russell Crowded

[00:29:02] for sales you know sales would not be here without Russell and you know I've always dreamt of

[00:29:07] some billionaire buying the sharks and turning us into the roosters and just paying players on

[00:29:12] the table and just laughing everybody's faces saying we don't care about you little fans like bring

[00:29:16] that on I want to be the most hated club in the league I want to be paying everybody triple their

[00:29:21] market though can I say I want to be the most loved club in the league because we've been the

[00:29:26] most hated from time of time in recent history I don't find it fun although in those times there

[00:29:32] wasn't a lot of success so that was also the double downer for me I mean if we were really really

[00:29:38] successful and people hated us I guess it's a different story but yeah interesting one man like

[00:29:46] like it kind of came out of the blue as far as the press hearing about that and my biggest take away

[00:29:52] was none of the guys none of the brothers none of them had blue hair that was amazing well the first

[00:29:58] thing I did was a Google Clint to see what he's up to this day I think he's still in jail I didn't know

[00:30:05] he was in jail so yeah he got done for the fraud in insurance company I think he went to jail for

[00:30:11] I thought he was like mentally really unwell I'm not even making light on that obviously I thought

[00:30:15] he was not yeah but it just it just it just remembered me of those dark days and then someone said

[00:30:20] oh here's some money and we can save it and how exciting that was at the time so whenever somebody

[00:30:25] says they're going to say nice for the sharks you get that george kistan's a moment where nothing

[00:30:29] could get happening live and I'm not it's gonna get taken I'm not wanting to judge a book by its

[00:30:33] cover for obvious reasons and also maturity and learning lessons but like the blue hair was a bit

[00:30:39] of a bit of a bad vibe when I saw the picture that back in the day blue hair it's just a die-hard

[00:30:46] mate you know just a die-hard bless him I hope he's doing all right hopefully wherever he is hopefully

[00:30:51] he's happy in some way we got a big week we have the bulldogs on Friday evening down at Sharp Park

[00:30:59] it's gonna be a fun one I hope they have a big crowd there I know they're pushing hard for a big

[00:31:03] crowd I don't see why there wouldn't be aside from that early time slot but even that you know come on

[00:31:07] let's go out there and if you can get out there of course if you can't of course that's

[00:31:12] you know that's understandable but if you can it's going to be a really good occasion I think

[00:31:16] yeah again it's that first home game in a long time there was no trials there this year so just

[00:31:21] getting that sort of vibe and environment again I can't wait and you know hopefully get down there

[00:31:26] before the game and grab a beer somewhere and really look on forward to it it's just I don't

[00:31:32] know what the bulldogs have installed for us because of they're all their new signings and you

[00:31:36] know it hasn't really clicked yet is this the way where it does clear he's is cherry going to

[00:31:39] come back with the fox injury I watched them fairly closely and like it wasn't a disaster they just

[00:31:46] couldn't really go with power and my initial vibe was if we can you know complete and play

[00:31:54] tough then we'll win without too much of a struggle and yeah I'm not gonna base anything on

[00:32:01] trial match but I mean they were almost fully fit and they we won 12 6 and it was a dour game

[00:32:07] and it was horrible but I just think that everything being right we should be we should be fine on

[00:32:12] Friday and that's not being cocky or arrogant I just think based on what we've seen so far from the

[00:32:17] two teams one is a very stable lineup one is really just starting out again and do we just

[00:32:23] got a bomb that Blake Tafetaf kid out of sight just keep bombing you know we're

[00:32:29] well I just think they need a half back right they they just look a little bit

[00:32:34] directionless but then they've got players like Criton who can just turn it on right so

[00:32:38] that's the concern if you do take them easy they've got certain players that can create something

[00:32:42] out of nothing and really burdened so yeah I'm looking forward to it I wonder if Connor Tracy

[00:32:48] plays I think he was 18th man on the weekend so there's potential few X-sharkies coming back
