[00:01:09] Mr. Joshua Bolling. Hey guys, I'm a friend. Very good mate, a bit wet around Sydney especially

[00:01:16] in Cronulla parts. First of all, I want to say thanks to everyone who's reached out

[00:01:21] for me being so dramatic about my health. You can hear I'm a little bit croaky. We're going to

[00:01:25] get through this fine and have a great time but it does limit what I'm doing this week so

[00:01:31] apologise in advance for that and if I sound a little croaky here and there just forgive me.

[00:01:36] It's all good. We're going to move on. Josh, we won the local Derby which is the greatest news

[00:01:43] every year. I love winning local Derbies. I love winning the home local Derby.

[00:01:48] This wasn't a classic by any means but we'll take it. There were positives in there. As always,

[00:01:54] it's just funny to see those guys lose and then they humiliate themselves and they're now known

[00:01:59] as the Dargons. How good is that? They also ruined the jersey for Fatemah Nader Brown as well

[00:02:06] with the wrong date. They had him a day-bewing in June so maybe it's a time travel, I don't know,

[00:02:12] but they just get worse and worse and makes me even more happy. They weren't very good on the weekend.

[00:02:17] There wasn't much going on. They manned up for a while. They went to our left a couple of times

[00:02:24] and got some luck there but overall they're a very average team and I'm glad we at least

[00:02:29] had a 10 point win over them. Conditions weren't great by a time of kickoff. The water situation

[00:02:35] was fine. The drainage was fine but it did affect the game a little bit. It became quite

[00:02:40] a slow, chain-flying and inspired kind of match so it suited them. They couldn't get the win.

[00:02:47] What did you make of our shucks? I thought we were okay. I thought the game itself was

[00:02:51] a bit of a pooslinger. Didn't overall enjoy the spectacle of it but sometimes that happens

[00:02:57] when it's raining and you've got a team that's struggling. They're going to try and

[00:03:02] make it as middle of the field, dodgy, pulled down in the rock. I guess that led to a lot of

[00:03:10] the six against that we saw. That was just a terrible referee performance but besides that,

[00:03:17] I think we did what we needed to do. I think it was good to see the boys have a bit of adversity

[00:03:22] and have to overcome them even though not against the great side. We still had to overcome,

[00:03:28] it was a 10-0 lead or so, a deficit. I think the second half was a lot better. I think we

[00:03:34] improved and I think where we did what we needed to do, we got out with the two points against the

[00:03:38] dastardly dragons. Yeah, I thought we started okay. Kofusi scored first. They hit us late in that

[00:03:45] first half down the same side which was pretty annoying. What did you make of that? Is that

[00:03:50] an issue or...? No, it's frustrating. I know it's hard when you're in the moment and

[00:03:55] this is first-grade rugby league and you've got to make decisions in a split second but

[00:03:59] I just don't think Ronnie needed to bite on both of those occasions. I thought Iro did a good job at

[00:04:05] holding his line and then sliding and he had the centre covered both times.

[00:04:09] Ronnie just bit in both times, just maybe a communication or a second of doubt and came

[00:04:16] into help his mate. Those are easy fixes and this is what first grade is about. You're

[00:04:22] going to make mistakes. You're not always going to be perfect and we've been pretty good

[00:04:26] to the last few weeks so nothing of a major concern. I think Ronnie just needs to trust Iro a bit more

[00:04:31] and just stay on his man. Who stood out for you? I thought Tommy Hazleton was outstanding again

[00:04:37] and again that didn't reach two greater heights. I thought he was fantastic with

[00:04:42] over 100 metres, 20 plus tackles, another try. I mean the guy's just a freak and I thought

[00:04:51] Kofusi, I was really happy with the front row pairing at the moment especially with them both

[00:04:55] starting. I think Kofusi is getting better every week. He looks more impactful with his runs and

[00:05:01] his defence is incredible. I mean he barely misses a tackle. The stats we've got down here from

[00:05:07] my end, he's missed eight tackles all year which is for a front row forward. That's

[00:05:12] incredible with only two errors and no penalties conceded for the year. I think he's

[00:05:16] doing a fantastic job. Yeah he's so solid. Even the way he runs is style and I've said it week in

[00:05:23] week out but he's not going to make too many highlight reels but he's got a very consistent

[00:05:28] style of way he runs. He's a hard runner. He almost reminds me of a sci-fi brother almost,

[00:05:34] that kind of vibe where they're bigger humans and what they look and they get through more

[00:05:39] work than what the stats might kind of indicate but he's getting better every week

[00:05:44] and he's doing a good job to I feel like secure another contract which is a whole other topic

[00:05:50] because it's getting pretty crowded in that front row area with Fnilblight coming in next year.

[00:05:55] But yeah him and Tom set the table. They both scored tries which is pretty cool.

[00:06:02] How often does that happen when the front row pairing both crash over?

[00:06:05] I've got some mail here about that if you just bear with me. James who yeah James who's in Ireland

[00:06:14] lives in Ireland he said I can confirm from personal experience the odds of both Cthusi and

[00:06:22] Hazelson scoring so not first and last but scoring was 50 to 1 and he took it. He got up.

[00:06:31] James from Ireland up so that made my day seeing that the confidence which Tom Hazelson is running

[00:06:38] with now is such a beautiful thing man. The second he got that ball I knew he was scoring

[00:06:45] like the second he was charged on to that you're like well it doesn't matter if there's 18 people

[00:06:49] in front of him he's getting through and scoring like he just he looks so athletic for a big man.

[00:06:55] I don't know if it's the big long levers and the long legs and the big bald head like

[00:07:01] he just screams like first grader from the 80s to me and I wasn't alive in the 80s but that's

[00:07:07] that vibe I get like he would have torn it up back then. Another guy I want to actually give a

[00:07:13] shout out to is Jesse Ramian. I thought he was bloody incredible on the weekend yet again

[00:07:19] another 150 meters 16 of 17 tackles a couple of offloads few tackle busts like the guy looks

[00:07:27] possessed when he's running the ball at the moment. He is our most damaging back and that's a pretty

[00:07:33] mean feat when you've got quarks like Sionic Catoa and Ronaldo taking the ball up as well and

[00:07:38] Iroh he's just I think he's primed for an origin spot I think if he got picked this year

[00:07:44] he'd do a really good job not that you know selfishly I wouldn't want him to but he's playing

[00:07:49] that level of football. Yeah and I think that if we reach the headlines we want to reach over the

[00:07:55] next month or so he's going to be a big part of that because of the physicality he brings to

[00:08:00] his game now 10 out of 10 like he's just up for every hit up every tackle he's a guy who's

[00:08:05] not missing too many tackles either and easily one of our most I think improved in the general

[00:08:14] scheme of things he was always pretty good last year was pretty good but this year he's just dynamite

[00:08:20] and easily yeah he is he really is and and I love the fact that it's going under the radar

[00:08:26] I think all that stuff's going to help us to be final time you know people not really considering

[00:08:31] Blake to be that good he's playing really good Raymien's out of his skin just these guys that you

[00:08:37] don't really associate with being elite they're playing in an elite level most weeks Blake wasn't

[00:08:43] elite on the weekend but he was still pretty good he got the job done it was good yeah yeah so again

[00:08:48] there's not really anyone who's letting us down the the six agains were a bit annoying I think

[00:08:54] some were justified some definitely not there was a bit of a crack down I think across the whole

[00:08:59] NRL it's frustrating as a fan I'm sure it's frustrating as a player but I thought the referee and

[00:09:05] Josh I never talked about this but the referee I thought had an influence on that game and it wasn't

[00:09:09] a good influence I completely agree I I try my best not to be a ref's fault to ruin it and

[00:09:15] absolutely having having the ref dictate how I think about football game but there was just no

[00:09:20] flow whatsoever to that game in the first half because the guy wouldn't put his hand or his

[00:09:24] whistle away and I think he's generally a pretty good ref remember isn't it Todd Smith I think

[00:09:29] it is yeah he's generally pretty good but just that first half he would not let anything go there was

[00:09:34] like not even an inch there was one in particular really set me off was he blew a penalty on the

[00:09:40] fourth tackle I think it was against us for holding down in the in the rack the tackle

[00:09:46] hadn't even been completed yet they were still fighting like to get to the ground and he said

[00:09:52] too long too long penalty you're too slow it's like dude they haven't they hasn't even tried

[00:09:57] to play the ball yet what are you talking about it didn't suit the conditions either because the game

[00:10:01] was slowed down enough as it was you have to allow for that a little bit more and it was just on a

[00:10:07] mission and I mean he accomplished his mission Dan Atkinson sensational running defense unbelievable

[00:10:16] I know that he's a different player to Trindle and I'm looking forward to Trindle coming back

[00:10:21] in the coming months but man if Atkinson can play that every week we're in a pretty good

[00:10:26] spot I did have faith that he would he would do a job but I didn't think this early he would be

[00:10:33] I would feel as comfortable as I do with him now like that first game against the rails is like

[00:10:37] man I just have no idea how we're gonna play is our structure gonna change yeah the the only thing

[00:10:43] is that his ball playing is nowhere near as good as Trindle's but he's not that type of player

[00:10:48] he's a runner yeah and so that's fine so what we lack with our Trindle with with ball in hand

[00:10:53] we're probably getting more out of Atkinson with the running he ran for another over 100 meters again

[00:10:59] made his tackle like some of those chop downs he did it was did it against Canberra a few times

[00:11:03] well just chopping the legs out of big boys like like but I'm really happy with how he's going

[00:11:09] and I think he's only gonna get better I think so too because he was rushed in last week not so

[00:11:15] much he really impressed me and I couldn't decide whether his defense or he's running was

[00:11:21] better for me but just great to see back row as usual just unbelievably consistent we saw the bench

[00:11:29] of Jack Williams, Talakai, Rudolph and Hamlin while he played some limited time as well

[00:11:35] unfortunately Toby Rudolph is injured and out for about a month which is a bugger because

[00:11:40] he's been in really good form really good form yeah what'd you make of Nico I thought

[00:11:45] he was really good um yeah there's a few touches where I questioned if he was overplaying his hand

[00:11:51] a little bit especially in the weather but I thought overall again controlled the game we played it

[00:11:57] the game was played at his pace for both sides I thought he dictated the uh the speed of the

[00:12:02] game really well and that that accurate kicking game again like just putting it in corners

[00:12:08] kicking on short sides sweeping or running on fourth like no one knows what he's gonna do

[00:12:13] but I have you know when there's that saying that you don't even think they know what they're doing

[00:12:18] I think you know is exactly what he's doing like almost all times and that's the most impressive part

[00:12:22] about it another true tricest as well he started slow with the tricest this year but now he's really

[00:12:28] starting to pump him out again and yeah man he's just I think maybe I don't know if you feel the

[00:12:34] same way but do you think having to take a bit more control again has just maybe kicked him

[00:12:38] up the bum a little bit possibly not that he needed it I haven't really thought about it in that way

[00:12:43] but possibly you're right yeah possibly uh it could just be warming up into the season as well

[00:12:47] it's a long season I like this more cool calm methodical nick ohians I think that's a word I

[00:12:55] am gonna attribute to him in 2024 methodical because previously a bit more kind of off the

[00:13:01] calf play what you see I think Fitzgibbon spent the summer with him and said this is where

[00:13:06] we need to lift your your skills it's in controlling the game and and just getting it right and we've

[00:13:15] seen it in games against the Cowboys where they're winning by 40 and he still will you know kick

[00:13:21] him on the fourth to try and get some good field possession rather than throw a hail mary and

[00:13:26] score another try so I love what he's doing I saw the there was a conversation today about

[00:13:31] he potentially said something like he wasn't ready for origin again and that kind of

[00:13:36] scared me a little bit because I don't want to go through that whole thing again

[00:13:40] of him being so affected by by a state of origin if he's ready then chuck him in if he's not

[00:13:46] don't but he looks pretty good to me like like I I think he's as good as what he was

[00:13:53] in his daily aim here it's just a bit different I don't know what it is and I don't really care

[00:13:58] about public perception or what other people really think but I think he is still so underrated in terms

[00:14:03] of where he's at as a footballer in this entire league yeah we could be biased but I feel like

[00:14:09] I'm pretty fair I think he's still like he's a top three or five player in the league and

[00:14:15] I still don't think he gets the credit for how good he is and I don't think he might I don't

[00:14:20] think he'd care about that but sometimes it's like man people just think oh Nicko like you

[00:14:25] know it's a whole daily aim joke he gets points to doing nothing whatever it's like

[00:14:29] for me he's doing so much off the ball his defense his goal kicking like he contributes

[00:14:34] so much to this team and how good he is that makes us why we're so good and I think it's

[00:14:39] I think it's still under appreciated it's the way he's carrying himself too he's brought the

[00:14:44] physicality he's brought the attitude he's a bit of a badass this year and I'm all I'm here

[00:14:50] for it I like it I think the team suffers from the same thing Josh and over the next month

[00:14:56] it's going to be painful for us as fans to put up with the part-time fans or the opposition fans

[00:15:05] in the media because if we slip up a little bit that's all you're going to hear about and me

[00:15:10] personally I can get over that I can look past it but it's not going to be much fun and I think

[00:15:15] that the team suffers from what you just said Nicko suffers from that's a lack of respect but they

[00:15:21] have they've fallen short let's not you know they've fallen short so it's up to the team it's up to

[00:15:26] Nicko to turn that around we'll talk about that shortly I did want to get through some mail while

[00:15:32] we can Josh Adam said thinking about our draw getting the Raiders early twice the Warriors

[00:15:38] in New Zealand in round one it's been a good thing two of the coldest and miserable places to

[00:15:43] go during winter that we've dodged also Nicko's defense reminds me of ET mid-career he turned

[00:15:50] into an excellent defender that's from Adam thoughts on dodging some bullets there Josh as far as venues

[00:15:57] go not going in winter makes a lot of sense it does but I guess when you're playing at Shark

[00:16:02] Park in the freezing cold like that it could be if anything it could be worse at times oh look I

[00:16:07] mean yes there's definitely advantages to that I think it couldn't make it doesn't really matter

[00:16:12] in terms of like you could get you know the Raiders at the end of the year when it's or the middle

[00:16:16] of the year when it's freezing cold but they might have 10 players out injured or you could get you

[00:16:21] know anyone at any time at different circumstances so I try not to think about that stuff too much

[00:16:25] because you'll drive yourself crazy in scenarios and give some butts but there's obviously advantages

[00:16:31] like going down to Melbourne this week you know it's going to be cold it's going to be maybe

[00:16:37] wet but they've got their some of their best players out so does that balance things out I

[00:16:42] don't know I think we do tend to look into these things a bit too much not saying not saying Adam is

[00:16:48] or you are or the meteor is but sometimes it's just like let's go play some footy like let's not worry

[00:16:53] about it but I think he's right like I was the same thing it was like Warriors round one

[00:16:59] beautiful won't be slippery you know the whole thing so thank you so much for being touch Adam

[00:17:37] we've had enough practice for when we do so I'm looking forward to that the big test there will be

[00:17:49] magic round I reckon against the roosters simple fact that okay if I'm not mistaken we haven't won

[00:17:55] a magic round game in Suncorp or Lang Park as I can recall but that'd be a good test the

[00:18:03] Chooks anyway up up keep going and well me and the family will be down to watch the

[00:18:14] South's play sharks at home and I might try and sneak down for the panrith game and hope

[00:18:21] to catch up we usually sit around the shark tank and you have a good one up up granola cheers

[00:18:48] the hardest games in this run do you think the roosters at Suncorp because of the magic

[00:18:52] round thing I still think Panthers will be the toughest but the roosters are playing

[00:18:57] the best at the moment yeah they're flying at the moment there are some deficiencies in that side

[00:19:05] though there's some weaknesses there they are very good I think it's actually going to be a really

[00:19:10] good matchup I'm really excited for that it's going to be blockbuster Saturday night like Suncorp

[00:19:16] Stadium magic round like come on like how good is that like I can't wait like I really can't wait

[00:19:22] for this period like I think sharks fans should be excited about this not scared and worried like

[00:19:27] this is what you want to be in the big games we're in for a we're going to be

[00:19:30] center of attention for this next month of football because it's it's banger after banger

[00:19:35] for the next like five weeks we're bursting big teams we're coming first we have a lot to prove

[00:19:43] so we're going to be getting spoken about and if we can win like these a couple of these games or

[00:19:47] all of them like people are going to start turning their heads and teams don't forget teams are

[00:19:52] going to be worried about playing us too don't listen to what people say a lot of time like they

[00:19:56] will be scared to play the sharks the way we play football the way we attack teams relentlessly like

[00:20:02] yeah I'm nervous to verse pemereth but they'll be nervous too like don't get that wrong yeah well

[00:20:47] the run you know for the next four or five weeks how do you truly feel about it because me

[00:20:52] I'm not that fixated by it I understand why some people are whether it's a fan or whether it's the

[00:20:57] media I get it you're gonna play tough teams at some point like this is like what the finals

[00:21:03] is like right if we were to have a team that goes through four weeks of finals it's the same thing

[00:21:08] you play tough games I'm looking at it one at a time one game at a time it's all I'm doing

[00:21:13] I'm looking at Melbourne but we are on a run four or five week run if you want to include

[00:21:18] power how do you feel about it like I said like I am really excited like this is where you want to be

[00:21:23] like I want to be versing the melvins and the panthers and the roosters and the broncos I want

[00:21:27] to see where we're at and I think the team would would be excited by that too like sure it's fun

[00:21:32] to go and smash you know the dogs and the dragons and stuff like that's good and you need that

[00:21:38] but I want to beat the big teams and someone's pointed out to me before but it's like

[00:21:44] this could more or less be what we have to do to win a comp this year you're probably gonna have

[00:21:48] to beat a melvin and then you're gonna have to go and beat a panthers or roosters that's how it works

[00:21:53] and if you can yeah that's how it works like these are the four like possibly four of the teams

[00:21:57] that we might have to beat to win a comp so why not a little have this is a perfect little

[00:22:02] practice finals run if you want if you want to say that I can't I really can't wait I'm

[00:22:07] hoping that we finish top two and then you in theory only have three games or even top four

[00:22:15] in three games whatever but yeah this is what it's like now I'm on the Fitzgibbon side of things where

[00:22:21] you can't judge us and our season after this run you can see where we're at you can see

[00:22:28] where we need to improve where we're kicking but where everything is super but you can't just go

[00:22:35] they're not going to win the comp because they dropped three of the four games that's not how it

[00:22:39] works like if they drop three of the four games if then you need to get better no doubt about that

[00:22:47] but doesn't mean your season's over I'm not trying to warn everyone and go

[00:22:51] we're gonna lose these games I'm quite confident in every game we go into

[00:22:55] I think we're a great team but I'm just not buying into that whole

[00:22:59] we'll see where what their premiership credentials are that's BS man like

[00:23:05] you'll see where we're at no argument you cannot dispute that but anything else I think is just

[00:23:12] it's just sensationalism right like it's just it's not accurate no I completely agree like

[00:23:18] let's say we lost every game these four games right okay that sucks we would have liked

[00:23:23] to probably one one or two but it's rounds like 10 man like let's see where we're at around 25

[00:23:28] and finals week one it's legitimately either not or very close to half the season gone once the run is

[00:23:36] over that's a whole other half season that's why if anyone's sitting back going this is going

[00:23:43] to define us it's not going to define us because the flip side is if you win all four or five

[00:23:48] that doesn't mean you're gonna go on and win the comp

[00:23:50] it put you in a good place and it's awesome but we've seen only too well in the last few years

[00:23:59] you got to get it done later in the year that doesn't mean you shouldn't be doing it now

[00:24:03] because you should do it all year round you should be like 2016 where you're just invincible I just

[00:24:07] hope people out there aren't falling for the whole this is the season right now because it's not

[00:24:13] and like you said like we might go and win all these games and then lose five in a row to

[00:24:18] the mites and you know the cowboys and the dogs like you don't and then like what do you say then

[00:24:23] so obviously you want to win as many games as you can and it's always great to win games

[00:24:28] but it's all irrelevant at the end of the year when you get to those finals because who

[00:24:31] in two years time who's going to remember if you beat the Panthers in round 12

[00:24:36] they'll remember when you if you beat them in the finals week two that's what matters and

[00:24:41] performance if we play well and lose that's as that's just as good for me if it's a good

[00:24:46] game and we get beaten by the better side of the day that's sport fair enough that's what I'm looking

[00:24:51] at obviously I want to win I desperately want to win these go on win every game I don't want to lose

[00:24:55] every game in my life but yeah that's yeah it's not how it works that's another good point you

[00:25:00] make though like if we go close in every game I mean that's not a disaster that shows a lot of

[00:25:06] things that shows that you can go with them you're you're a field goal away you're a try

[00:25:11] away you're a tackle away I hope people are staying calm that's what we're banging on about this a

[00:25:17] little bit sharks play Saturday night 735 blockbuster 1 versus 2 we haven't been in one of these games

[00:25:26] Josh since 1999 as the first place team playing a second place team they've got a few injuries

[00:25:33] to storms at fullback they've named a young guy called Farah logo who's unbelievable now I don't

[00:25:39] know if he's confirmed confirmed to play I think there is an injury cloud around him I would be very

[00:25:51] much targeting this young man and worried about what he's going to do he's that good

[00:25:56] and that had to stop so keep it on him Grant Anderson goes comes in on the wing cam months

[00:26:02] to play as 5 8 Tharon Wishart who's competent young guy he's in that storm system he's playing

[00:26:11] half back so no Jerome Hughes what do you make of the storm team Josh it's look it's definitely not

[00:26:17] their best team there are some players there that you know I'm trying to be respectful I'm happy

[00:26:26] they're playing Grant Anderson is you know he's a toiler but he's a reserve grader Wishart is not

[00:26:35] a 7 who's playing wing last week there's you know scraping the barrel there a little bit but I mean

[00:26:41] they still got some really good players like Cameron Munster and Perry Grant can win them games on

[00:26:46] their own so and then you still got Nelson on the bench like this it's still they're still

[00:26:52] really good players there and they can still definitely beat us and they this side we're

[00:26:55] still probably beat a lot of NRL teams but they're very beatable um there's a part of me that Wish is

[00:27:02] like the head of these guys playing because so there's no excuse because like we've been saying now if

[00:27:07] we beat them everyone goes you've beaten you know a reserve grade storm side if we lose them you

[00:27:12] lost a resort or like this a lose lose situation but no but I'll take the two points but I

[00:28:26] will travel as well so they'll be hanging around the squat as well otherwise a pretty solid consistent

[00:28:36] sharks team in form how do you think we're gonna done and I know this is very counterintuitive to what

[00:28:43] a lot of people say about winning game I think we win it on the edge I think we win it through our

[00:28:47] back row and I think we win it through our centers they're going to be crucial to us in this game

[00:28:53] especially just because I think they're they're slightly weak defensively out there

[00:28:59] Ellie Catoa is a great player but he can make poor defensive reads

[00:29:04] and Sean Bloor is still fitting into that edge as well I think again another really good player

[00:29:08] who I like a lot but I think they're very susceptible there and I think with good ball playing and

[00:29:12] I with tough runs and grit I think there's a lot I think there's actually a lot of opportunities

[00:29:17] for points there I also don't think Reema Smith and Nick Manie have been in that crash shot this

[00:29:22] year and then you've got Grant Anderson out there who I would be targeting heavily or not

[00:29:28] now is Nick Manie next to Catoa on the right for them I think he is yeah I think he's doing my

[00:29:36] doing my research I did know that Catoa as tough and big and awesome as he is he can miss a tackle

[00:29:43] make a bad defensive read and so can Nick Manie so if you've got them together

[00:29:50] it's not the Grant Anderson side though I think Warbricks on that side I think

[00:29:54] I like your game plan I would not disagree with that

[00:30:00] I also think the forwards get it done if they're like if our props can get ahead in the opening 20

[00:30:05] and the other guys come on do their job it just creates that space for Nick and also for

[00:30:10] Ackerson but I think we need everyone firing and I think that if everyone's firing it'll be a

[00:30:17] I'll say a comfortable win not I don't think it'll be a blowout by any means but

[00:30:21] it may not be a two-point win after all hopefully hopefully it's hopefully is a bit more of a

[00:30:27] relaxation period for us towards the end of the game but it's a storm you never know what's

[00:31:32] fella and Big Sharks fan he passed away last week so sending a love and support to the

[00:31:38] Stapleton family in particular Tim his Adams brother and I know they're pretty sat down

[00:31:44] there they're gonna have a good celebration of his life and support a ship he's a shy boy

[00:31:49] we send our best to them and hopefully they'll get the job done the Sharks boys to cheer you guys up

[00:31:53] a little bit more but yeah our condolences for sure thank you to Susie for that sad information

[00:32:00] to pass on unfortunately uh Josh it's going to be a beauty man I'm like you I want to see us play

[00:32:06] some some big teams and that time has come it's weird how it's all set up isn't it like

[00:32:13] like the draw is just weird and it's it's stupid we know that it makes no sense it can't make sense

[00:32:18] you don't play everyone twice the whole thing you've heard it all before but we've had a pretty

[00:32:22] good run it hasn't been the easiest of runs we had a pretty good run four or five weeks of

[00:32:27] finals footy in around 10 it's just it's a weird it's a weird situation and for everyone

[00:32:33] complaining about their team having hard runs it's like well we've got a hard run over five

[00:32:39] weeks does anyone else have this kind of hard run throughout the year no one's heard no one spun

[00:32:47] that story right no it's I mean it is good that it's acknowledged it's like yeah okay we've got a

[00:32:52] hard run but like everyone has easy runs everyone has hard runs like the draw is random it is

[00:32:58] really that it is random yeah yeah we don't control the draw and who's to know that a team that

[00:33:03] you think is going to be crap turns out to be a really good one year like that's the thing

[00:33:08] people say like oh manly were not in the top eight last year now they are and now you've got them twice

[00:33:14] like you just can't predict these things sometimes like so I don't really buy into any of that like

[00:33:18] if they're good like you gotta beat everyone so let's just do it I must say that given my place of

[00:33:24] work and what I do there I cop it a lot from particularly from sharks fans about the way

[00:33:31] that the teams represented in the way that they're spoken of and you know you can't be

[00:33:35] the top eight team you can't be the top four team and then you fire back and you go well

[00:33:41] we beat the Warriors and they were top four last year yeah but they're not top four now

[00:33:46] well you know it's though you have to put like changing the goalpost you have to put like an

[00:33:50] asterisk and go what top four are you talking about and when it's laughable the whole thing

[00:33:57] yeah the people are always moving the goalposts and that's why I don't really care anymore
