[00:02:48] It feels like a slow start is on purpose because they build speed as the game goes on.

[00:03:06] in the four games we played half we start well, half we don't start well so that's the

[00:03:20] Defensively I thought they were okay and Cameron just kind of did their thing right?

[00:03:25] With the slow starts, I get what he's trying to say in terms of front loading the energy

[00:03:31] too early and having that back end because we do tend to come home with a wet sail but

[00:03:37] at the same time even Blake Braille and his post-match interview was saying that we wanted

[00:03:40] to come out and fly out but just didn't happen because you can't get any rhythm when

[00:03:44] you're dropping so much ball.

[00:03:46] With the defense for the most part it was pretty good, that first Schiller try, that should

[00:03:53] have been stopped, that should have been tackled in the touch by Kennedy.

[00:03:55] The savage try was just a bad mess, just a good step and so it wasn't like we were completely

[00:04:00] broken down.

[00:04:01] The only time they really got us was that second Schiller try in the second half where

[00:04:05] they last one.

[00:04:06] Schoffen numbers yeah.

[00:04:08] Greg says amazing how we can grind so all the defense to hold teams less than 10 in the second

[00:04:13] half.

[00:04:14] In the first 20 we just let them in a bit too easy, it's good that they can feel confident

[00:04:19] to chase them all down though.

[00:04:20] I mean that's only going to work against certain teams too I think.

[00:04:24] We need to like be realistic about that.

[00:04:26] When we play those hard teams after the buy in particular your Panthers, your Stormy Broncos,

[00:04:34] that's not going to work.

[00:04:36] They'll do a number.

[00:04:37] Especially it's in my pan-ruth, you might consider 50 points if you allow them 18

[00:06:06] When we had our tickets I assumed that we were going to be in the back corner right at

[00:06:10] the top and then we rolled in the lady helped us find out seats.

[00:06:18] I don't get to sit up there too often maybe a couple of times a year with yourself but

[00:06:23] it was a really good fun experience and it's a lot louder up there.

[00:06:27] The crowd, you can really hear the energy of the crowd and crowd was on one the weekend.

[00:06:32] It was the atmosphere was really great.

[00:06:34] It was a really good vibe down there.

[00:06:36] I did have a couple of commentators sitting behind me though who felt the need to make

[00:06:41] a comment on every single play.

[00:06:43] You get that but I really enjoyed it.

[00:07:02] In my opinion, Big Tuku has pushed ahead of Royce Hunt at the present time.

[00:07:08] He has a big impact at different sides and body shape all around positives.

[00:07:12] What are your thoughts?

[00:07:14] I think I raised this during the week with someone on one of the shows and I think it would

[00:07:20] be interesting once Tuku has a few more games to say once he plays what's he played?

[00:07:26] He's played a couple for us, couple for the roots.

[00:07:29] He's up to at least 10 games.

[00:07:32] I think it'll be interesting and I think it'll be a shootout between those two guys for

[00:07:37] the number 17.

[00:07:39] I mean, I think he raised a good point Paul and I think that they both have really

[00:07:43] good attributes like Royce on his day is really, really good but this kid is very unique

[00:07:49] and unique should be rewarded if you have every other talent which he does.

[00:07:53] I think the only problem with your question Paul is I think the coach would look for him

[00:07:59] to get more experience and more minutes in the lower grade because that's just how

[00:08:05] the coaches kind of feel in general like across the board.

[00:08:09] But I do think it's a question to be asked and I think it's close.

[00:08:14] I think Royce is ahead of him but I think it's close.

[00:08:15] What do you think Josh?

[00:08:16] Well, I want to play a little devil's advocate here because I do want him to be in the side

[00:08:22] about being at the game in a good view in the EAT.

[00:08:27] Notice that he was really struggling at the end of his stint and for any eagle eyed viewers

[00:08:33] when he came off.

[00:08:35] He was on his home, he couldn't actually stand, he couldn't get to the bench, he was absolutely

[00:08:39] gassed and that was 20 minutes and it was a group 20 minutes.

[00:08:43] I'm just thinking like in games where we're going to need more out of him or out of that

[00:08:50] bench spike whoever it is, is maybe Royce just for now, maybe a little more important

[00:08:57] for that balance of the minutes.

[00:08:59] I'm not sure, I'm just trying to play a little devil's advocate because I still think

[00:09:02] I'd rather him in the side over hunt.

[00:09:06] But hunt's fitness is probably, and it's not amazing either to be fair but it's better

[00:09:10] than he took us so I don't know where do you think, what do you land on that?

[00:09:16] I agree with what you said but I also agree with your sentiment of him being in the team.

[00:09:21] Like what we've seen, it can't be matched by I don't think anyone in the NRRL and I

[00:09:26] don't think that's too dramatic a statement.

[00:09:28] Look there's guys, like yeah we'd love to have David for feet in the team, absolutely.

[00:09:32] But this guy is different at David for feet and if they can get it right he could be anything

[00:09:37] in that role.

[00:09:38] I'm not suggesting he's going to be the best prop of all time, but in that role he could

[00:09:43] be just devastating.

[00:09:45] Now the 20 minutes was double what he played the week before so it makes sense in a way

[00:09:51] that he would be so gassed.

[00:09:53] And that's what I mean by playing more at New South Wales Cup because you can have him out

[00:09:57] there and to be fair with all your respect everyone involved, it doesn't really matter.

[00:10:01] It's a lower tier if they lose, it's not as significant as the NRRL team losing, that's

[00:10:06] what I mean by that statement.

[00:10:08] So get him in there, play more minutes and then bring him up and maybe you play him

[00:10:13] every three or four games, give him a stint and do it when everyone's fit and when

[00:10:19] you can play him for 10 to 15 minutes only like we need him to play 20 on Sunday and

[00:10:25] did.

[00:10:26] And he had one error right at the end of his stint.

[00:10:27] I really love him.

[00:10:28] I think that the upside is huge so we'll see where that lands.

[00:10:33] Paul also said has Iroh done enough, I personally believe so but one of your thoughts and what

[00:10:37] you think may be going through the great mad mind of fits given.

[00:10:45] I'm very, very conflicted about this because look it's a good thing right either way it's

[00:10:53] a good position to be in you're either giving heroes some more chances or you're getting

[00:10:58] arguably the form center of the comp back into the position.

[00:11:01] So it's a win, win for us.

[00:11:04] I have no idea what I think to put it bluntly.

[00:11:08] I don't know what I want to do.

[00:11:10] I would be happy come next Tuesday or is it yet Tuesday either way whoever's named

[00:11:16] there, I'll be happy.

[00:11:18] I think fits will go back to Cifer a center and obviously Nacora goes straight back into

[00:11:23] his spot but I am conflicted because he had a really bloody good game.

[00:11:28] Is there a spot for him on the bench with the injuries at the moment?

[00:11:31] There is but I don't know if that's really where you want to go.

[00:11:36] Because you're dropping it forward then but if you're going to have a utility maybe

[00:11:41] he could be the guy.

[00:11:43] Well for now while with the still a few injuries he could do the Daniel Ackinson role because

[00:11:49] he could play second row at a pinch and he has done in reserve great, he could feel the

[00:11:54] spot there.

[00:11:55] But then you're dropping Dan Ackinson who also played a role in the weekend so it depends

[00:11:59] what role you want.

[00:12:01] I think that you're right I think that the coach will put Tallah Clyde back which is not

[00:12:06] a slight on the arrow.

[00:12:07] He literally didn't put a foot wrong I don't think.

[00:12:09] I thought maybe the first try we can see it but he wasn't even really that heavily involved

[00:12:14] in that try so he was great like cannot be faulted.

[00:12:20] He's next cab off the rank but it just depends on the Tallah Clyde thing because Tallah

[00:12:25] Clyde won't be the second row next week so Tallah Clyde is either in the center or

[00:12:28] he was on the bench and do they see value in him off the bench.

[00:12:33] I think you can get value of him off from the bench it's just a tough good situation to

[00:12:38] be in you know I probably think you play Tallah Clyde there until it goes horribly wrong

[00:12:44] which it hasn't really and it's tough it's tough era because he's ready to go and it's

[00:12:49] almost like you need to have a shoot out like which is the better center.

[00:12:53] Who do you think is the better center Josh?

[00:12:55] I guess it depends what you want out of your center.

[00:12:57] No no no because who's the better center right now Tallah Clyde or Euro?

[00:13:02] Well I think it's a little unfair because I've only seen one game of Euro center in

[00:13:06] the NRL.

[00:13:07] Sure that is unfair.

[00:13:09] You know probably 50 games of Sifar and he's been I would say more than not pretty positive.

[00:13:14] I will based on if I'm saying Euro was almost perfect last week based it on last week.

[00:13:19] Euro is probably a more balanced center in terms of his pace, his lateral movement was

[00:13:26] pretty good defensively but Sifar gives you something different and that's why it kind

[00:13:31] of works because he's not a center per se but he's making it work and that's why he's

[00:13:35] so hard to handle because he's got those hands for a big guy that you shouldn't have.

[00:13:40] He gives you 170 metres a game.

[00:13:43] Euro is probably more of that 130, 140 metres a game but he'll give you that kind of try

[00:13:48] he scored on the weekend.

[00:13:50] That's Sifar probably couldn't have scored so it is a balancing act of what you want.

[00:13:54] He also set up that nice driver Ronaldo too.

[00:13:56] He did with that little give and go and that.

[00:13:59] So he kind of he got on the outside.

[00:14:01] He kind of in one game did all the things Tallah Clyde does.

[00:14:05] Now he didn't do it to the same degree and same depth and effects but he still showed

[00:14:10] he could do all those things so it's a super tricky one man.

[00:14:14] I think if Sifar can get his lateral defence okay which it has been this year and I think

[00:14:19] he's your guy.

[00:14:20] If I was guaranteed to get you know a season of what Euro did on Sunday or if he could

[00:14:26] do that for 10 weeks straight I'd probably have him over Sifar.

[00:14:30] I don't know if I'm willing to take the risk right now with a fit healthy telekite there

[00:14:35] ready to go playing this well.

[00:14:37] Now the other thing that that opens up Josh if we go down that avenue which was very

[00:14:42] well said by you is that telekite then becomes a bench player.

[00:14:46] Telekite is on I don't know people are aware but he's on good money so does that mean when

[00:14:51] he's contracts up we let him go because we really don't really want to paying that much

[00:14:56] for a bench player.

[00:14:57] I kind of agree with what you're saying but also benches I don't think Eris I don't

[00:15:04] know how to say the word not important these days because we see what Jack Williams brings

[00:15:07] off the bench didn't I agree so imagine like in a world where you have Euro starting center

[00:15:12] right and then you have Tom Hazleton Sifar telekite Jack Williams coming off the bench in

[00:15:18] a three weight punch that's insane.

[00:15:21] Well it just means that eros contract it may not reach the heights of what telekite

[00:15:25] is yes and that's normal at this point in his career but if he's going to go on and

[00:15:31] have a career that everyone wants him to have I just think at some point the money ball

[00:15:34] comes into it and you're like we're paying telekite this much and he's playing 30 minutes

[00:15:40] off the bench now I agree what you're saying our benches change the game on the weekend

[00:15:43] it was incredible I'm not suggesting they're not important all 17 guys are important but

[00:15:48] at some point someone has to take less money for sure yeah and I think that then we get

[00:15:54] into that territory if we're saying eros starting and telekites going to go to the bench

[00:17:29] they didn't win the forward battle in the first half an hour and they turned it around

[00:17:34] in a real team effort and particularly as we said those two middle we mentioned McInnes

[00:17:39] I think ultimately Daniel's right overall you could say we won the forward battle but

[00:17:43] it was looking a bit murky for a while Josh.

[00:17:46] Yeah it was I do think though I'm not sure if you agree but I thought we actually contained

[00:17:53] Papal Leigh in type and they pretty well for the most part like everyone was really scared

[00:17:57] and and so really so we're really scared of what they were going to do to us but grand

[00:18:03] scheme of things I think overall you got to say we won that pretty convincingly that forward

[00:18:09] battle I mean I didn't really notice Papal Leigh either much just like having a quick look

[00:21:00] they let go was about 28 stories high now that's not an excuse but it was like we were there

[00:21:06] was no one was really going to catch that bomb was he made referring to the one in the first

[00:21:12] half with him and Ronaldo got a little oh maybe they let it bounce because that yeah

[00:21:16] that second one was absolutely ridiculous maybe maybe he is to be fair I think he's fine

[00:21:21] like I he's not playing as well as he was last year I would go like definitely but he's

[00:21:26] not being terrible his time is defensive air like he could be better defensively a few times

[00:21:31] he's also he also saved a try in round one one on one so it's I think overall like each

[00:21:37] game he's been at least a sort of seven and a half out of ten and that's not bad I would

[00:21:42] like to see telecloth the bench he has some firepower in the middle but also coverage for

[00:21:47] the background center so the vote for telecloth the bench and he's looking forward to winning

[00:21:51] against the buy as well our friend Alan has written to us he said the reason I've taken

[00:21:57] a couple of days to reply is because I'm almost 81 and I had to wait for my heart to return

[00:22:03] to normal after that terrific 57 minutes of the game against the Raiders all 17 players contributed

[00:22:10] with McKinnis being outstanding some criticism for the coach which won't surprise you Josh

[00:22:16] because Alan's into 50 quite a lot he should rotate the bench more often and select players

[00:22:23] that would be most effective against certain opposition so he's a fan of picking the team

[00:32:07] row so I just worry he becomes in the middle and he's having to make 20 tackles as opposed to maybe

[00:32:13] like his 10 would take away his effectiveness with the ball. I mean it was interesting watching him

[00:32:19] on the way again like he had a good game but if you look at his numbers it's like yeah I didn't feel

[00:32:25] like his performance matched the numbers. No no no no it still felt like he was fairly involved but then

[00:32:30] you're looking at 30 meters like yeah no you feel like you're around more than that but I know I know

[00:32:36] it's a weird one it's an interesting one it's fascinating we both agree we think the coach
